Unit is good, not great. The Bluetooth mic is not that great. The person on the other end of the call says it sounds like I'm in a tin can when stopped in traffic and when driving they cannot hear me. The Bluetooth streaming of music is good but using the aux feature is a much better sound. The manual doesn't explain a lot of the features, but was able to find more online. Had trouble with the sound when hooking up unit. Have a factory amp and I hooked up the antenna to power amp but when not using radio it shut off the amp, so I had to use the amp power blue, not the blue and white antenna. Overall for the price it's a good unit for a stock replacement. If going to use multiple amps and subs, I would get a better unit or get a crossover or an equalizer.

Love the stereo and blue tooth features. Perfect replacement for a vehicle without this option. Sometimes it does not connect automatically which can be annoying but once connected, sound is good, phone is clear, features are plenty. Installation by Geek Squad was flawless and quick. This was a Christmas gift for my son and he was completely surprised and is very happy with all the features and sound! It was a great decision. No regrets.

This car stereo works great and provides excellent sound. The one feature I really like is the big blue button to change modes. That makes it easy to switch while driving. It was a little tricky hooking up my Iphone with blue tooth but once it connected it worked great. The manual can be a little confusing so you may have to read the instructions a couple of times.

First of all, the installation done at my local Best Buy (Gainesville, GA) was excellent. They worked me in on a Sunday afternoon, and the unit looks great. The Lead Tech sat out in the vehicle several minutes and explained most all the functions. After a little tweaking and several weeks of use, I can say the Alpine sounds very good and has all the inputs I need. And I do use the front panel audio input, the USB audio input, and yes I still play CDs. The only disappointment came when I figured out the USB input will not play wave files, only mp3 and wma. I know the "lossy" files are smaller for streaming, but wave files sound much fuller and richer even on car speakers. If the radio will play hi-rez CD disks, why can't it play wav files thru the USB? Note that with radios with detachable faceplate, you need to make sure the faceplate is snapped securely in place (when it clicks). Otherwise it will make weird designs on your readout & possibly damage the radio. I don't recommend you adjust the 3-band graphic equalizer. I fiddled with it for days, and it never sounded good. Then I read the instructions on where to locate the pre-sets. I set it on the "Rock" setting, and it sounds great no matter what type music is playing.

Easy to install and great quality sound. Bluetooth and ipod hook up an excellent addition to this stereo. Day and Night difference from stock radio which came with my truck.

Bought a similar model many years ago and was impressed. It has endured a long time with heavy use. Alpine has me sold. I've since installed 3 of these in our cars. It's not a hard install for a DIY. There's YouTube stereo install videos on many cars. Only diference is the microphone wire feed for mobile phone connection. I got the install kits and harnesses from the installation dept at Best Buy. They gave tips and are great people. This model is simple and easy to operate. Intuitive interface. Don't need XM etc. Just basics. Love the Blue Tooth interface. Easy to pair. Great power and sound. No fancy flashing lights, color schemes and gimmicks. Straight up function-based. Clean design and blue light. Navigation between input sources is perfect. Sound is outstanding. Wide range of treble, mid and bass. It's made my stock speakers sound great. The hands free mobile calling is clear and easy. It's great quality for a reasonable price. Everything about this is a solid stereo. The only negative we noticed is the volume dynamics. When moving between lowest levels, it has a gap between louder and softer. Jumps too significantly and needs more sensitive adjustments. Not sure if it's the knob hardware or internal electronic design. Highly recommended. Best Buy can install also. Either way, very reliable and impressive even if it was a higher price.

I have been a fan of Alpine car stereos for over 20 years. This unit does not disappoint. Easy, fairly intuitive controls, great sound, good display and mostly big enough buttons. Bluetooth works well most of the time, although occasionally it just fails to pick up the phone. Biggest drawback is the limited volume options on Bluetooth--many callers sound overmodulated even with the incoming volume set at minimum. Still, overall performance is satisfactory plus for the price.

Even though the literature it comes with states it's compatible with the iPod 3rd gen, 4th gen and iPod mini (There are the classic iPods) the radio can't recognize them. But works well with my modded 240GB iPod 5th gen and my 512GB modded iPod 7th gen both classic of course. I like taking calls without the need to an earpiece. Also, the connection was easy since it uses the same plug as the 2007 Alpine system it replaced.

Great Alpine product as many I have purchased. The stereo sound quality is great and the Bluetooth capabilities are fun! The sound quality with the phone calls through the speakers via the provided microphone are outstanding....even with the window open, all parties could be heard.

So far so good. The sound quality is noticeably better when playing music through my phone, whether through Bluetooth, USB, or auxiliary. The button layout is relatively easy to adjust to, and I've had no issues with the radio or Bluetooth calls. Good product for a great value.

Purchased for my son's truck with the speaker and installation package. Alpine has had quality products since I was his age. This unit offers everything he needs in today's time. Works with iPhones and the hands free blue tooth offers a safety advantage I appreciate. The installation was painless for me and done without any additional costs.

I have owned many decks I started with a pioneer then the rest of them were alpines. They are excellent reliable receivers. I would recommend this to anyone. It's an excellent deck with Bluetooth and excellent sound quality at a reasonable price. How can you beat that? You can't!!!

I need to play the same track of a cd over and over, and this player does that. I'm not sure the sound quality is as good with my D'Oyle Carte cd as it was with the player that came with the car, but everything else sounds good. The tech paired the radio to my phone, but now that I have a new phone I can't get it to pair. But it is a great capability.

So far we are very pleased with our new radio/cd player. The sound is great and the bluetooth is easy to use and works really well. Looks good in the dash and fits well with the car decor, not too bright and garish as some decks were, full marks.

This radio has great quality sound for the price, and the Bluetooth feature is really useful since this was installed in an old car. The only minor issue is that the clock display is a little small. Otherwise, a great, intuitive radio.

The unit produces a great sound and is easy to use. I used Alpine speakers with the installation, and the overall sound is great! A great unit for the price.

Love adding the Bluetooth hands free answering for my son so I don't worry that I'll cause him to wreck if I call him. The sound quality is to his liking and he likes using his Bluetooth to play his favorite songs.

This receiver is perfect for my'92 Miata with a stick shift. Easy to operate; blue tooth connection with my phone fantastic and the sound is great. Would highly recommend it.

Was looking for a system that would be an easy swap out from an earlier radio from the same company. The Blu tooth works great. The swap out installation was very compatible and easy.
