No Disco flashing color lights - which I don't want when I'm driving at night. Simple control - Something I want. Alpine is quality.

Excellent choice in the $100 price range!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you're shopping in the $100 range of stereos, you can't do better than Alpine in my opinion. Quality of the CD player alone is worth this. Having the bluetooth connectivity for phones and usb for music players and more make this a clear choice amongst the challengers. The next step up would be to purchase the 45 watt Alpine amplifier and pair it with either this or the higher grade Alpine stereo which does not put out wattage and needs the separate amp. I believe this stereo will take care of you until you are ready to make that next step.

Good unit at a good price

Bluetooth connection is wonky at times if you don't already have bluetooth turned on on your mobile device when you start your car. I noticed that if i decide to connect via bluetooth mid trip i have to turn the head unit off and on again to get sound. Could be a glitch with iPhone but I haven't done any research to clarify. Regardless, its a solid unit and works great. The price is pretty darn good too. Cant wait to connect an amp and subs to see what this unit can really do.
