Have 2 hooked up to a kicker cx1200.1 amp wired @1 ohm. 600rms a piece and have the gain @ about 10% and it hits hard!! I have my bass settings <50% and fade a little more to the front and it is still rattling my windows! Great speaker for the price!

It's an awesome sub, but the best but listing needs to be corrected. It is not a single voice coil sub, it is dual 4ohm. Now back to the subwoofer. I've owned a plethora of car audio and Alpine has aways been top notch. The S series are on the lower end of what they have to offer but still impressive to say the least. They handle every bit of 600 watts. Freauency response is pretty good as well, only lacking moderately at the low end. I definitely recommend.

I am running two of these in a 1.25 cubic foot sealed enclosure in my 17 Ram quad cab. At first I wasn't sure if these were right for me, but after the initial break in period these woofers just came to life. They hit hard and the bass is very well pronounced. I cannot recommend a better 12" woofer for a smaller enclosure. These are the ones.

Love the sound quality! I have it in a ported box currently and love the sound. Running the alpine 500w amp is plenty loud enough for a Mini Cooper.

Best speaker I've ever owned. Hits so hard, shakes the whole car. Just 1 is plenty but bought the 800 Watt amp to go with it.

This is my third purchase of this type of speaker. I love Alpine equipment and the price isn't bad either. These speakers can take a lot great value.

This listing is for a Single Voice Coil Subwoofer while the product referenced by the model number (and sold at checkout) is a Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer. Further, the manufacturer suggests the woofer be used in conjunction with the Alpine MRV-M500 mono Amplifier for their compatibility. This speaker, correctly wired at 2-ohms to the amplifier mentioned above did not survive very long at moderate levels. I will be upgrading to something a little more robust.

I bought two of these for my ram backseat and they slam! I was cautious about breaking them in but it wasn’t long before I had the volume all the way up. They handle lots of frequencies with ease. Have had them about a month now and they are holding up fine. I also play them at high volume frequently.

Had a kenwood sub and a kicker sub that only lasted about 1 year. I have 2 Alpine subs and my other one lasted over 2 years and is still going strong. I’ve had it on different boxes and setups and it always sounded great.
