    I just got 2 of them installed in my Infiniti and they are so loud that the whole car shakes! Even the cars never to me shake a little!! BestBuy did an amazing job on them! I am very thankful to BestBuy! I recommend getting this sub if you are looking for REALLY good bass!!

    Alpine has always delivered on their type r subwoofers. I am just running one 12" and listen to all types of music and this sub blows me away.

    I used to own a SWS-12D4 but the MRV-M500 kept causing it to go bad and it was not being over-powered by any means! I have owned this sub before as a SWR-12D2 and only had one Voice Coil wired up because the other was bad when i bought it from a Pawn Shop. But still with 1 VC it shook my truck and made the person infront of me feel the boom! I have owned alot of different Subwoofers in my time and the only one that comes close to this one is a L7-12in! And i listen to Rock & Roll, Rap, Oldies and some new stuff!

    I have owned/installed, and heard many different makes, models, and series of subwoofers in my 34 years. Bottom line....this sub is without a doubt my favorite so far. It has great range for all kinds of music, and hits extremely hard. I primarily listen to Metal, so I wasn't quite expecting the accuracy & high clean quality of Bass Response that this sub produces. I HIGHLY recommend this sub to any Music Lover, Audiophile, and/or Quality Seeker out there!

    I have 2 type r 12s in a dual ported box wih the ports on the outside of the subs powered by a memphis 2400 watt amp. They make the windshield wipers flap and it blew the vents out of the rear dash. Crazy bass.

    Have a Rockford Fosgate 1200 watt amp pushing this type r and it is awesome. Hits very hard as I have it set up in a ported box. I highly recommend this subwoofer!

    Have 2 type R’s 12’s but they don’t impress me so far. Believe it or not I have 2 MTX 10’s that hit harder on the same amp and same vehicle ,even the same box I’m driving them with db drive wdx 3000.
