The rugged look caught my eye first, then once I realized it was sand, water and everything proof I was sold. The annoying thing about speakers is when they aren't loud enough, but the Altec Lansing speaker is great!

We use this speaker every where in our house,yard and pool. It connects to your music easily via wifi. It's waterproof so it can be used outside and in a pool area. The quality of the speaker is so good too. It also stays charged for a lot longer than most speakers we've tried.

I was looking for a portable speaker that would carry the sound over a fair distance outdoors that did not need to be plugged in. I spent 15 minutes testing all the different models available in Best Buy, taking turns turning each one's volume up all the way and then walking to the other side of the store to listen. This was without a doubt the best bang for buck given those parameters. The sound is good, and its volume level was better than most of the choices that were twice the price. Very pleased.

I purchased this speaker as a gift for my mother, she is always camping, biking, fishing, boating, loves anything outdoors. This speaker is perfect for someone like her, who is always be on the move, and they can safely take this anywhere they go. Also,must mention this can include snapping it to their bike - such a cool feature! The fact that it is durable, made me feel better about choosing this product over others. The sound quality is pretty good, and I also think this product is good for someone not so tech-savy. This device notifies the user when to connect, you are connected, etc. Also, the color options are an added bonus, and the packaging is very appealing. Great for all music lovers!

Very good speaker. Sound quality and volume level is on par with more expensive models and this one is waterproof and can float. Bought it when it was on sale for $69.99 as a Christmas gift for my son so it was a steal at that price

I just loved this. My dad bought one for him since he is always at our beach house and its waterproof feature is real. Then we bought this second one for me and my gf. Its really a good deal. Awesome sound quality and durability.

Great speaker with very good sound quality and a long lasting battery life. I purchased it over a month ago and, since i only use it for a couple hours at a time, I have not had to recharge the battery. The only fault I've found with it is when turning it on, the announcement voice indicating the speaker is powered on and paired is very loud and continues to get louder, to the point where it's practically yelling.

I LOVE THE LOUDNESS AND QUALITY OF THE SOUND FROM THIS DEVICE. BLUETOOTH IS COOL SO THERE IS NO NEED FOR CORDS, BATTERY LIFE IS LONG. I WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT TWO SO I COULD GET THE SURROUND SOUND EXPERIENCE.

Easy to link to Bluetooth and sounds excellent. I actually had to return the first one I bought because it would not charge so that is the reason for 4 stars.

I bought this to take out on the lake with us. With young children around, the waterproof feature really made this a winner. Great sound quality, greats pretty loud for being so tiny.

Speaker is great for small spaces/ rooms. I like that it is waterproof and durable. The only draw back for me is that it is not good for outdoors.

Great sound and well built for the price point , and also water resistant won't worry about when it's out the pool area or kids dropping it.

Even though the speaker is small, it's got pretty good sound. I haven't used it anywhere but inside yet, and it hasn't been dropped, so I can't speak into how durable or rugged it is yet. Connecting it to my phone was simple and the signal doesn't get interrupted even when 15-20 feet away from it. The one negative is the voice that nearly screams at you when you turn it on/off and sync it with a device. It's truly louder that I thought it would be even after reading some reviews, but overall it's a good product.

I ordered this in order to have a water resistant speaker that I could easily take with me outdoors. It has been great for using during my morning showering and getting ready for work. I also have taken it with me while working in the garage. The speaker is sufficiently loud while not distorting. I also own a Bose Sound Link III and a Sound Link Mini 2 and enjoy their sound, but I don't want to risk using them in wet or rainy conditions and the Mini Life Jacket fills that need for me.

This blue tooth speaker sounds great and it seems like it is indestructible! Waterproof and floats! We will be trying it out this summer! Love it so far!

I bought this for my girlfriend's dad to use in his boat, since it is water-proof and rugged. This speaker is very loud and holds a great battery.

The sound is good, not great, but for what it is and the price it is a good value. I do love the fact you can take it anywhere, even in the pool!

My son wanted a wireless speaker for his computer. He plays a lot of music on the computer when he is working, cleaning up, and doing other things. We got it because it is water proof and very durable and having a 4th grade student, he is probably going to spill something on it or drop it. It has been great so far. I plan on taking it to the beach and syncing it with my phone this summer. It is really easy to use and plays music for several hours on 1 charge.

I purchased this to give as a Christmas Gift to my son. He loves it. Every time he leaves the house he is taking it with him. Work, play, etc. I think he is using it while driving too. Because he takes it with him every where, the rugged design has been a very handy feature. And he even puts it on the sink when he showers. So the water proof design has been handy as well. And to top it off, it sounds really good.
