I love the sound quality, I use it mostly for listening to spotify and iHeart. But I'm doing more with it every day (timers, alarms shopping list). English is not my first language so I have an accent but Alexa seems to get me every time. The only thing I was disappointed about is that it seems like there is no way of making this portable, no battery accessory available and it works with 15v so it makes it hard to even build one myself (Electronics engineer here)

My wife has been asking for an Echo for a couple of months and I decided to buy it for her birthday. I am not only very impressed with Alexa and her "intelligence" but was also surprised with the sound quality from the Echo. Very easy to use and setup and the whole family enjoys it.

Alexa is great! The second generation is smaller and sounds better. The rotating volume was recorded laced by plus and minus buttons. It seemlessly connects with the Nest thermostat. Be a parg if Amazon prime to take advantage of all it has to offer! Kicks butt over Siri any day!

No need to yell to the kids when dinner is ready. Just tap into room and Alexa does the rest. Kids love the nice speaker for their music and answering questions. Nice looking generation with it being shorter and now with more circumference than the previous model.

Bought the Amazon Echo for my birthday just to try. The device works very well and can hear me from a couple of rooms away. Have it connected to my smart home hub and it turns on lights when I ask her too. Still learning all Alexa can do but so far I am very happy.

So easy to set up and use. I bought this after I already purchased the echo dot, but I wanted more volume for playing music in my living room. I set this one up in the living room and moved the dot to bedroom. Very happy with my purchase! Love the gray color also.

I was given a Dot and one I programmed it, I couldn’t get through my morning without it. So this holiday, I decided our family needed the Echo! I love it! It’s sound quality is great and so much louder than the Dot. I want to buy one for everyone in my family!

Alarm clock, music player, list maker. Alexa is a lot of fun! Set up was easy and the speaker quality is great. Purchased for a 14 year that wants to listen to music, obtain information, and be read to (not by his parents). Would be a great Christmas gift.

It’s a definite upgrade over the smaller Echo. The sound is loud enough and clear enough to be at good volume without distortion. Alexa and the app take it to another level. If you like the idea of an always on assistant, then the product is hard to beat.

The speaker isn’t very big but has a lot of sound coming out. It works great. I asked it to play Christmas music and it plays Christmas music i ask it to play alternative music and it plays it. It’s amazing. It looks very stylish. I recommend you buy one

Setup was very easy. And it is much more than just a music player. Turning lights on is especially good when you wake up during the middle of the night and want to get somewhere without crashing into anything. Looking forward each day to the new skills.

We have been using Echo's around our home for a year now and wanted to upgrade one of our Dots to the new Echo speaker. The difference is incredible! This speaker has great sound, looks great, and takes up less space than the original Echo speaker.

I purchased this to add on to our Echo Plus because I wanted better sound in our basement than the Dot would have provided, since this is a main entertaining part of our home. I have been very happy with the quality of sound and ease of use.

I don't leave the couch anymore, I set the echo up to control my lights, plugs, thermostat, and tv. The speaker fills my living room when I play music. If it could go to the bathroom for me, I don't think I would ever leave my house.

We were given an Echo last Christmas and love it. Great sound, easy to use and has more features than we have a chance to explore. We start every morning out playing Jeopardy. We since have bought 3 others To give away as gifts.

I'm loving my Alexa Echo. Great sound and easy setup (I did it without calling my son!). I'm exploring all of the features but love the music, alarms and timers, and shopping lists. Hope it will someday interface with my tv.

Amazon - Echo is an excellent voice assistant for a variety of queries and tasks. I have used Amazon Tap and Echo before and liked them. With Alexa you can ask anything and get an answer. You can play music and use Echo as a Bluetooth (wireless) speaker, and I understand the Echo 2nd generation has improved speakers. Best Buy offered Echo (2nd Generation) for $79.99, which is a very good price. Along with Amazon Echo, Best Buy also offered a TP-LINK Smart Wi-Fi Mini Plug for only $5.00 whereas it would cost about $29.99 if bought separately! You can connect a table lamp or other similar electrical appliance to the Wi-Fi Plug and use Alexa through Echo to turn it on or off by your voice or set it as a timer. I believe Best Buy offered a nice combo deal.

We bought this so my disabled mother in law would be able to talk to us while we're in a different Room and she's been listening to books on tape love this product

As a Voice Assistant, the Echo is a great device and is phenomenal for Prime members. The whole household uses our Echo for a lot of different functions. Playing music, finding out the weather, answering trivia questions (such as "who are Chris Hemsworths brothers"?) and getting movie times. With Prime Music Unlimited and TuneIN, its a fantastic speaker. Well worth the money.

Though not always the most intuitive user interface the amazon echo has proceeded to blow out any misgivings I may have had towards the beginning of my purchase. Seeing as I am just beginning my build of my own smart styled home I was not expecting much. But as the time has progressed the functionality customizability and seemingly endless stream of combatibily that the echo has to offer had fully been realized! This device truly is a must have to any tech lovers house. And to top it all off The sound coming from this little bugger is incredible. There is only one hang up. If you don’t use amazon prime this product will have no real use for you on the entertainment side of things. That is my only warning.
