Best alarm clock EVER! Super-easy to set up and use. Love that you can adjust the brightness and sound quality is very good considering how tiny the unit actually is. Just don’t expect it to fill the room with booming bass - because it simply can’t do that. But, if you’re looking for an easy to use clock with voice assistant capabilities and a speaker for string Amazon music - this is it.

As an owner of the Amazon Echo Dot 4th Gen, I'm impressed. The smart speaker's sound quality and voice recognition are excellent. It seamlessly integrates with my smart home devices and provides a range of useful skills. Its compact design and voice-controlled convenience make it a top-notch purchase for smart home enthusiasts.

Until I can address Google Home by the title "computer", I'll be sticking with Alexa, and it's not like I'm missing anything. This little thing does a lot! I can turn on half the lights in my home with this, control my thermostat, arm my home security system, turn on or off my home theater, tell my vacuum to run or go back to its docking station, set various timers, alarms, and reminders, and get answers to various questions. To do most of that, I had to buy a bunch of smart devices, like bulbs, switches, thermostat, vacuum, etc, but for the most part, those are all purchases for inherently upgraded products that leverage voice commands and connectivity to become even greater than the sum of all those sperate benefits. The sound is boomier than the older hockey pick style, it looks super classy, and the digital clock is my favorite part. I got this version specifically because I wanted to get a nicer looking digital alarm clock for my living room, and after seeing this, I knew I would be adding another smart speaker to my smart home.

Coolest lil Speaker you'll find. It's Stylish & Wow it Packs a Punch! Great Sound from such a small Speaker. Grab the app & Play Radio stations to Streaming Svcs & you can also Pair w/ your phone to play your own Music & Playlists. Love it, Highly Recommend it.

I brought four of these for me, my family and a friend. Echo is a nice sound machine and a great clock. You can ask Alexa anything and she will answer. I like listening to music on it. Very soothing !! Buy this one. No disappointment.

I am late to the party when it comes to Smart home type stuff. I never felt the need to have a smart home or speaker. In fact, I once picked up a Home Pod Mini, and I wound up returning it. Issues that I won't fully go into here (I think I reviewed it), but ultimately (and ironically) it was SIRI that really unimpressed me. I've been a long time Amazon user, Prime member, etc. Although I mainly use Apple products, in my opinion, ALEXA (next to Google Assistant) is the most intelligent and actually useful digital Assistant/Ai. The Set-Up was painless. The base feels very secure--Almost like this thing generates its own quantum gravity. The sound is great for such a small design. The response is immediate. I got this on sale. the Gen5 was coming out and so the $49 price ($99 List) for the G4 felt right. I wanted black, but this design didn't come in black. After awhile I just didn't care, because it is just so awesome! It's funny, but this is my high tech bedroom nightstand clock. LOL. I didn't know that there was an Echo Dot that had a clock display! The clock is what grabbed my attention and then the awesome price. I was also surprised to find that there was an Alexa Companion App, which helps with setup and customization. I am no slouch when it comes to tech, but like I said earlier, I am new to the realm of "smart home" tech. I have to say that being able to control stuff, even something as simple as a light, with a voice command is just really cool. Also, there is so much more to the ALEXA experience. After the initial customization, she evolves over time and you learn more about what this device can do: Reminders, Timers, Casting to it as a Smart Speaker, Setting routines, Automation, Playing something to fall asleep to. You can whisper to it and it will whisper back. All I am saying is that if Alexa and Google Assistant were to merge, SkyNet will be the product. Siri is fine for small stuff. But Alexa almost feels like you're speaking to a person. Imagine what the next 10 years will bring.

I had a gen 3 Echo Dot, and I've been wanting an Echo Dot with a clock for a while. I'm glad that I waited until this gen 4 Echo Dot with a clock came out in November 2020. The Twilight Blue color is nice, and I love the digital display. It not only shows the time, but it gives a visual display for timers and the weather. There's also a setting in the app where you can set the light to dim depending on the lighting in your room. I also like the round redesign compared to the hockey puck design of gen 3. The sound isn't much different than last generation's, but it seems better. And Alexa seems to pick up my voice a bit easier as well, even if I whisper. I also like that I can snooze the Echo Dot's alarms with a tap on top. It's a great product overall.

Nice design, looks great. Easy to set up and operate. Clock self-dims in dark, nice feature. Sound much improved over the flat dots. Highly recommend all the dot products!

I really enjoy Alexa. The sound quality is excellent and it fits anywhere around the house. Great size and qualify for the price!

I had an older alarm clock next to my bed that I used for years that worked great. Well eventually it stopped working. And I wasn’t sure what to replace it with and while researching I ran across this Amazon echo dot. I wasn’t sure if it would work well for me. All I can say is I’m hooked. I love it. All I have to do is speak to it and I can play music set an alarm turn on lights. What more can I say.
