This was my first exposure to home smart devices and hubs. A coworker recommended the echo, but upon reviewing all the echo devices I decided to go with the echo plus. Its amazing! I can get information in real time by just asking Alexa. In the morning before heading out to work Alexa provides me with traffic updates, weather, news, my favorite music, my to do list and even I can update my grocery list before I leave the office without skipping a beat or turning on any additional device. Alexa can also turn on my Christmas tree, the light in my bedroom, set my alarm system, control ,y thermostat, etc. With the Echo Plus their is no need for any additional "hub" type devices..

This was a present for my husband who originally had asked for a radio for his home office. He set it up relatively quick and was amazed at the sound quality. He loved the versatility and that he could have a specific radio station played or a random song as well as tell a joke, etc. It has been fun for all of us and we are looking into getting the smaller "dots" for other rooms now. He commented that he would NEVER get rid of this! It's very fun and functional. The Smart bulb is very handy as well. Love it!

Went to my local Best Buy and a friendly employee greed me and ask me if I needed any help, I ask about the echo and the google assistance and the employee explained the pros and cons of each device and even show me other ones. With his help I end up pickin the new echo Plus (Alexa) and I absolutely LOVE IT! I really like the Phillips Hue Bulb included and I am definitely going to buy more! My customer experience was really great and I am very grateful for the courtesy, knowledge and the time this employee offered me. This experience make me want to come back to this same store for all my needs specially because they can help me choose wisely. Love my Alexa, and love the hue bulb. Now I will be going to buy a new smart tv to control with Alexa next. Great customer service!!! Thank you!!

My wife and I are 50's and 60's and this little gadget makes it much easier for us to turn lights on and off without getting off the couch. We can ask for any type of music and it plays it, and does so much more. We love it.

We bought this for the Home hub feature as we equip our home with smart technology. It finds new smart bulbs and smart outlets very quickly. Audio quality is decent. Not as good as our Bose Soundlink Mini but it gets the job done.

Exceeded expectations in most areas, fell short in a couple. The good: sound quality is excellent with great bass and overall room-filling sound; very Bose-like. Also, the smart home function works great and does exactly what it's supposed to do. The device is very responsive even with multiple voices giving it commands. Setup was straightforward, including bluetooth. The ability to make a voice call by command is a great feature, as is the overall integration of the phone functions into the device. The not-so-good: The device gave a lot of "I'm not sure" answers to some pretty basic questions. This is probably due to Bing being used as the search engine for the device instead of Google. Too bad that there's no option to change this in the setup. I also have a Google Home device and it doesn't have this problem. Another issue with the device is that it could not easily distinguish between a command to play music from Pandora as opposed to playing a song from a playlist on an iPhone. Despite these complaints, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this device. My hope is that future software and firmware updates will remedy the few complaints that I have with this device..

The Echo Plus was demonstrated for us at Best Buy. We were a bit skeptical but bought to check it out. Wow! are we impressed! We tell it to turn on and turn off our lights in the living room, family room, and bedroom. Also it can dim the lights more than once. Need the local weather forecast, just ask. Want to listen to Christmas music? Yes, again. Want to know the distance to someplace or the population of some city or country, yes! We're still discovering what it can do and it seems limitless. Absolutely love this!!

How did we live without this? I purchased a white one, but have since bought others in black as Christmas gifts. Both look great. White does resemble an Apple product IMO. Already having the built in hub, enabled me to link lights and outlets. I am an I tunes fan so I blue tooth pair my phone to stream my music. The speaker quality is surprisingly good while I still prefer my Martin Logan’s. I have not fully utilized it’s capabili yet, but what brilliant potential!

This is a great way to begin making your home a smart home. Easy to set up, built in hub, easy to use.

I love how Alexa can control almost all smart things and help control lights and power on and off devices to help us get ready for the day. The music is connected directly to Amazon Prime Music and I love how the sound is clear and crisp. You can call out to Alexa from far away and she’ll add items to your shopping list and the Alexa app is so simple to view the lists and control your smart things.

This was something my wife wanted and I picked up one afternoon. This particular unit gives you more options than the others and the sound quality is very good. I listen to music, while she has it do different things. So far so good. I am still learning it's capabilities. Turning on and off , and setting lights to % of power via voice is pretty neat. lol.. "Alexa, turn living room lights on 25%. "

Easy set-up through Amazon Play song trivia or Jeopardy against your friends in home or with others nationwide. Get daily news, sports, general information, can't spell just ask Alexa. Need a recipe just ask she will verbally tell you or send to your phone if you'd like. Ask to set grocery shopping list tell her everything needed, automatically goes on your phone for when your shopping. Will find and purchase items online and have shipped to home. Can send voice messages to your contacts. Set multiple timers for your cooking needs or for your children that are in timeout. Would be great for people that are visually impaired. Book your travel arrangements, link music, lock or unlock doors with compatible locks. Ask Alexa to dim or raise lighting. Also if your out past dark, Hue and or Alexa app turn your lights on before getting home. If happen to be out of town, throw a wrench in your burglars plans with programming your lights, or just have fun confusing your cats / dogs. Does so many more things not enough room to mention. Again, awesome useful and fun product.

I absolutely LOVE my Echo Plus!!I have so many lights and devices paired, which took only minutes to do. I love being able to tell Alexa to add something to my shopping list because by the time I find something to write with, I've forgotten what I needed. This would make the best gift for an elderly person! We love this stuff too :-)

It’s so simple to use, install and comparable with everything! So excited to have a smart home. Utilizing the lights, thermostat, door locks and garage opener. Using with smart plugs for tv and stereo making everything accessible with voice commands. Kids enjoy testing her and using for homework too. Great price! Must buy

bought this as a present for the wife, but as I relaxed for the holiday requested six hours of different song play. The wife enjoyed the music as the music emanated through the open areas of our house. The wife received information on measures for recipes, weather updates, etc. this will be one of those classic gifts.

This thing is great with built in hub so you don’t need all these other hubs to control lights. Works seamlessly with the 6 echo dots around my condo. Can play music from your iTunes or Amazon music through condo. Expect to gain some weight cause you don’t need to get off couch even to control tv!

We are very happy with the Echo Plus so far. The sound for music is much better than anticipated. The convenience of controlling lights is great. The set up was easy with the directions well done. Looking forward to adding more skills. The included Hue bulb is a huge bonus.

I never thought that buying this product was such a great step up. Really makes watching a movie and turning on the TV so easy, really works well with my harmony hub. Love the way I can control all the lights. Looking forward to all the add ons, I can purchase.
