This cover should come with the purchase of an Oasis. I found the Oasis hard to use in its bare form. It rocked on the table when I clicked the buttons. It felt awkward in my hands as I carried it. It is so light that it lacks a certain "heft." I was always afraid of scratching the screen. The cover adds protection to the screen. The flip-top turns the screen to "sleep" mode when closed. The additional weight (though very little is added) makes the device feel "substantial." When placed on the table, the cover prevents "rocking." And I like the feel of the fabric cover. The ONLY complaint - it's over priced at $40. I paid $33 as an open box at Best Buy. I think it's really only worth about $20. I'm willing to pay extra because I can afford to splurge and it makes the Oasis much more "usable" than a naked device. Finally - if you want to prevent your cords from tangling - tie the ends together. It's science.

Adequate protection for my kindle oasis. Fabric material is good, not tested against water splashes yet.

My kindle case started to peal around the edges a month or so a go and it’s really disappointing because my old kindle fire’s case still looks brand new and it’s much older than this one. Idk if I got a bad cover of if this style is just low quality.

I was grateful when this cover arrived since the store didn't carry them, I used my Kindle Oasis without a cover for the first week. Without the cover, I was not a huge fan of the coldness of the aluminum nor how the small frame sat in my large-ish hand. The cover fits perfectly. It adds just enough bulk that holding the reader is more comfortable, and the soft interior fabric is much more pleasant to hold and provides a nice amount of traction. Open-to-wake works perfectly and I like that the magnets hold the cover against the back of the reader in the open position so it doesn't flop around when switching hands. The cover is surprisingly (and appreciatively) rigid and my fingers are crossed that it will protect the screen as well as I suspect it will.

I like the color and look of this cover. It protects my kindle and I am very happy with it.

I most everything about the Oasis except how slick it is. It feels fragile and ready to jump out of my hands. This case adds stability without a lot of bulk and fits the Oasis perfectly. I completely recommend it!

Has a perfect fit for my Kindle Oasis, not too heavy in my hands. Was surprised to find that it turns on and off automatically when I open and close the cover.

Excellent case for the Kindle Oasis. It looks great even after almost a year and adds much needed grip to the e-reader, especially if you use it while lying down. The automatic on and off feature is nice ans it is very slim (perfect for travel).

The sleep/wake feature of my kindle works perfectly and it feels nice to hold.

Simple case for the kindle oasis, bought it with my kindle over a month ago. The case fits perfectly for the kindle, the feels and grip is good, and it’s nice to know it’s also water repellent.

I love this cover. I've had 3 Kindles over the years, and always get a folio style case for it. Can't go wrong here, Amazon's covers always have a bit of understated elegance to them. I really enjoy the auto-sleep feature that's built in, it helps save battery because I am definitely forgetful and would forget to do it on my own. Opening the cover also auto-wakes the device from sleep, a nice touch that Amazon continues to include in their folio cases.

Does the job if you're just after a basic cover for your Oasis. That's all I needed so very happy.

If you're a book worm, there is no finer device, so protect it with a nice cover that fits perfect. Keeps things spiffy underneath.
