A fantastic line of products. The CPU is amazing and the fan. Let me tell you this fan is amazing, you can absolutely overclock in this fan, obviously not serious overclocking, but some minor overclocking can be done with ease. A fantastic product. Highly recommended.

Primarily set up with my sff rig in the living room. No need to overclock, just undervolted it by .1V! Took off 5C-7C from idle temps, 10c on Load. Boosts to 4.2 easy when you keep it cool

I have had the Ryzen 5 2600 and the Ryzen 7 2700x both are excellent cpus and I purchased both at Best Buy. I also received money back because of their excellent price match program. I will always buy every part from Best Buy from here on out unless it’s a special part they don’t have.

Simple enough to install, the rgb led is nice but it seemed to run a little hot with the OE fan cooler but with the corsair cooling system it only maxes at 43°c with no side vent.

I wanted to have a fast computer since I edit photos and videos, and videos take a lot of space and time. This processor is reliable, fast and looks great. It came with easy to understand instructions and it was easy to install. I’ve had it for a couple of months and it still works great and since I got a case with a window, you can see it and it looks cool. RGB LED illuminates most of the case and it cashes your eye every time. With 8 cores, 16 processing threads and 20 MB Cache , that is all I need to make everything fast.

Working great so far. Fast, powerful, and best price to performance. It comes with a really cool CPU fan and heatsink. Keeps CPU nice and cool and looks sweet with RGB lights built-in. Also, has heatsink paste already on the heatsink. Fan is quiet and ramps up when more cooling is needed. Of course, that is controlled in the motherboard BIOS so it will do what you choose.

Build your own motherboard with this AMD Ryzen 7 processor. Its advanced Wraith Prism cooler lets it operate at lower noise volumes for quieter processing, and its clear fan helps keep components cool while providing better RGB light illumination for creating fun effects. This AMD Ryzen 7 processor has eight cores for completing multiple system-intensive tasks at once.

As many other reviews of the CPU have indicated this is a great processor. Very competitive with Intel on single threaded performance in temperatures are easily kept in check even with a modest cooler. It really is a great bang for the buck and I’ve had no issues whatsoever in over a year of ownership.

Compared to intel, this CPU is a beast. I got this during black friday for much cheaper price and it seems to run better and faster than my i7 8700k when running multimedia programs and gaming. This chip does run a bit hotter than the i7 but nothing to complaint about if you have an AIO. Overall super happy and will never buy intel CPUs again because they're so expensive for the performance compared to AMD. Now that AMD is getting more skin into the game and boosting their CPU qualities, I'm sticking with team red. As for the GPUs...well thats slightly different story. Overall this CPU is HIGHLY recommended over the intel CPUs. I built my own rig and used a Asus Hero 7 crosshair motherboard with artic silver 5 paste and with my NZXT cam software I can monitor the CPU and it runs well. I did overclock the CPU and it runs great like that too. HAPPY CUSTOMER from best buy and best buy gave me a discount on top of the sale too. Was about to get this from amazon, but best buy had the best deal and customer service.

I chose the Ryzen 7 2700x when planning my first computer build - I never built a computer before and was excited about doing it, and this processor has lived up to all of my expectations and I couldn't be happier with it. My PC is incredibly fast, since I paired this processor with 32GB of G.Skill FlareX RAM on the Asus CH7WIFI motherboard. The stock cooler (fan) is awesome. I'm not into looks and RBG, but it really looks good and it does a great job of cooling, not only for running at 3.7 GHz out of the box but I've overclocked to 4.0 GHz and its running really well with the stock fan. I really enjoyed my first build, and I'm loving AMD, Ryzen, and Asus.

Purchased this coming from a ryzen 1500x and what a great improvement. Improved processor speeds and the included cooler is awesome! I would buy this again. Multi tasking and gaming was greatly improved and has very competitive features compared to its competitor.

I was hesitant about getting the AMD chip because I have been a long time Intel girl. However I went over reviews and consulted friends in the field and when it came time to upgrade my computer I chose to go with this Processor. I'm so happy I did. I game. A lot. I also do a lot of photo editing. I tend to have several different programs, windows, games etc up at any given time. This thing has taken everything I throw at it without even breaking a sweat. I am not knowledgeable enough to go into extensive details using tech jargon. I know enough to know what I want and need and set myself up for it. This processor does it and then some. Love the cooler and fan that comes with it as well. It's a neat system and the led colors really sets it apart and looks cool too. So yea, I would recommend and i'm very happy I made the choice I did.

I love this CPU. I’ve been using i7 920 and AMD FX 8350 since 2011, so, of course this is an upgrade. I use it with a GeForce 1080. Plays Black Ops IV, WWII, WoW, DB Fighter Z, Ace Combat 7, DOOM, Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim and Fallout 4, andRainbow Six Siege at max settings at 2K resolution and g-sync on. I don’t have any lag issues or hitching and screen tearing. AMD is not for poor people anymore. It is a true alternative to intel in regards to performance and not just because it’s the only other CPU company. I use a Corsair H60 so I don’t know how hot it gets but it is running at stock and still I can play the games from this generation. I love it and don’t regret buying it and I’ll build another Ryzen computer when I need to upgrade.

Processor of Choice for New PC Gamer

I'm very new to PC building, and a friend recommended to me based on my needs (run chrome and listen to music in background LOL) that a Ryzen CPU would be best because it can handle multi-tasking a little better than Intel can. I personally have never been on his computer build (he has an Intel 17-8700k processor) to know any real difference between ours computers, but in terms for me, I am happy with my purchase. Everything is snappy with my build, and games that I've played has had no issues. I have this paired with a Crosshair hero VI motherbaord, XFX RX 590 graphics card, and a Corsair 16gb DDR4 ram. The games I played so far has mostly been RPG (Final Fantasy Series). I can run Chrome and play music in the background just fine with this build too, lol. I do know that the newer generation processors are on the Ryze (get it? lol), but I felt that the 2700x would still be holding it's weight for the next couple of years. The wraith led cooler is a nice touch. There are two wire cords that you must connect the wraith cooler to your motherboard for RGB effects. Keep this in mind! It already has thermal paste pre-installed so, don't need to worry about buying some. I have my set-up on the floor, so I don't hear the fan noise at all. The only grip I have about this is the installation method. The diagrams help, but if you're new to computer building like I am, I need just a little more information/guidance. Wish I had known that it was okay to flip back the locking mechanism for the cooler even though it felt like it was going to snap. Or that those two extra small cords were for lighting up the fan's LEDs and you need them installed if you want RGB. All I wished was, it was just a tad bit more noob friendly.

I just upgraded from a 1700X to a 2700X. With stock clocks, under a full load, the 2700X clock speeds (4Ghz) are 500Mhz faster than with my 1700X (3.5Ghz). And DDR4 memory speed was able to be increased from 2933 to 3200Mhz using 4 x 8GB DDR4 modules. Both of these improvements made the upgrade worth it to me. Turn on Gaming Mode through the use of AMD Ryzen Master Utility and CPU clock speeds increase dynamically up to 4.3Ghz! Needless to say, AMD has outdone themselves this time. I'm very happy with my decision to upgrade :D PROs - Price for performance can't be beat vs. 1st gen Ryzen and existing Intel CPUs; i.e. the 2700X is $30 cheaper than a 8700K - Backward compatible with X370 and B350 motherboards (with the right BIOS update) - Noticeable higher clock speeds vs. 1700X, especially under full load - up to 500Mhz faster clock speeds! - Precision Boost 2.0 and XFR2 are built into the CPU, which means these features are intact and work even with an older X370 motherboard - Improved compatibility with higher DDR4 memory speeds vs. 1700X - Operating temperatures are about the same in spite of the fact the CPU having a 10W higher TDP rating vs. 1700X - AMD's Ryzen Master Utility really does work! - Wraith Prism CPU cooler is included and is adequate for stock CPU speeds CONs - Very limited overclocking headroom unless extreme cooling is used; i.e. LN02 - Anticipated future release of the higher clocked 2800X variant may cause buyer's remorse to those that just bought a 2700X - Motherboard related and not really an issue of the 2700X; the X470 chipset is not really an improvement in most areas and features vs. the X370 chipset - Best DDR4 memory speeds can only be achieved by using 2 of the 4 DIMM slots; 3666Mhz has been achieved with 2 memory sticks, but only 3200Mhz has been achieved using 4 memory sticks - No native increase in supported PCI-E lanes (24) from the CPU (not including X470 or the upcoming Z490 chipset improvements) Bottom line, is it worth upgrading to the 2700X? It all depends on what PC hardware you have now and how you want to spend your money. For example, if you own a GTX1060 or RX 570, a GPU upgrade will most likely give you a much better performance increase than upgrading from a 1700X to a 2700X. But, if you have a PC that's 5 years or older, I would say it might be worth upgrading if you have a need for multitasking on your computer. If you game, stream, play music, while running hardware monitoring tools all at the same time, then the 2700X is definitely for you!
