The Perfect Power Station

I've purchased multiple Anker power stations over the last few years. With each year, they keep getting better. With that said, the SOLIX C300X is definitely the best of them all. It is lightweight, well designed and solidly built. It is also the perfect capacity for anything I would need to remotely charge.
Unboxing and setup
Inside the box was the 288Wh power station, a three prong power cable and a carry strap. Out of the box the power station is ready to use. But, in order to access the other smart features I had to use the Anker app on my phone. As I mentioned earlier I already own some other Solix devices so I only needed to add the new power station to my account. To do that I just clicked on the plus symbol and clicked through a few menus to set up the wireless connection. In all it only took about 3 minutes.
Performance
I am glad Anker has upgraded its battery tech to LiFePO4 batteries. These are the same type of batteries that are used in electric vehicles so they are proven to be able to go through multiple charges and discharges. The CX300 and its 288 watt hours was enough to charge my dead 12 volt lawn mower battery, Two Laptops, a smartphone and smartwatch, and it still had 20% of available power remaining. When it was time to recharge the power station using the provided charging cable the battery reached 100% capacity in just under an hour. The power station also supports other charging options such as USB-C and solar. They both are limited in speed when compared to the included power cord. But are great options in scenarios where I may forget the power cord or want to charge off grid.
With that said, I love this power station and I am sure you will too. I highly recommend it.

Bought this power bank for possible camping or traveling. It came in handy with a power outage that lasted a few days. Kept all my devices charged up. The light on too works decently when there is no light at all and being able to connect via bluetooth helped monitor everything especially when charging with soalr panels. Overall I’m really glad i got this and would definitely look into more anker power banks for the future

I have a couple of portable power stations. One I use in my office to replace a UPS and provide backup power to a couple of computers, monitors and networking hardware. I plan to use this Anker to travel with and for home back-up. It only weighs a little over 9 lbs. It has 3 USB-C, 1 USB-A and 3 110V power outlets. It is a smart device, there is an app for it that connects via either Bluetooth or WiFi (2.4G only). Installation and setup was very easy. The charger arrived 87% charged, and charged to 100% in less than 15 minutes. The app allows you to find the quick start manual and full user manual very easily. I allowed it to charge to 100% before connecting any devices. I started by connecting my iPhone to charge, I could see it charging at 20W (fast charging), I connected another portable charger, it also charged at 20W, but backed off to 1 or two when it completed charging (good). I plugged a third power bank in, that was already fully charged, and it quickly blinked the wattage up and down, settling a 1W in just a few seconds. I plugged in a 110V device... nothing happened. You have to enable the 110 outlets via a button to the top right of the outlets, then it worked. I like the way the app tells you how much power is being used by each usb port; it does not do this for the 110 AC outlets (but the total goes up). You can tell the unit to disable any of the AC outlets: never, after 1,2,3 or 4 hours. Kind of nice if you only want to run a TV or something for a limited period of time (not to exhaust the power too quickly). There is a carport (12V lighter connector) but I did not have a connector and one does not come with the unit. The front of the Anker C300X has a led light which can be turned on with 3 levels and made to blink (SOS function). Nice if you are camping, but I wish it also had a red light output, this does not affect your eyes adjusting to light the same. I do some astrophotography, and you pretty much are not welcome unless you have red lighting. And this C300X would be perfect to take on night outings to power various accessories that we frequently use over night. I'll probably see if iI can find and affix a proper red filter, but the button being on the bar means I have to control the light from the Anker app (which is possible).
For testing I tried replacing my office power bank with this unit. The UPS switching worked perfectly, nothing shutdown when I disconnected power. After running about 10m I got an error saying the unit detected total output power being exceeded. I would have thought when everything got started would have been max power draw, but it's good to know the unit is self monitoring. My other unit was rated at 300W, 600 peak. This unit only specifies a max AC of 300W, nothing about a peak; but total output AC+DC of 360W. So I don't know what's different, but this is not a "replacement" for what I have, and the error message does not tell you what AC port caused the problem, or how much the exception wattage was (this would be most helpful).
At my home I also have a power bank about this size dedicated to some of my outdoor lighting. It's connected to a 100W solar panel, so I see it as an 12V extension to my other solar lighting. I would have loved to try connecting this C300X power station to my existing solar panel but the Anker uses a non-standard solar connector (which I could not get/find quickly - it's not included in the box). I'd like to tell you how well/quickly it recharges with solar. Their Anker app looks like it would show you the amount of power being delivered to recharge the unit via solar. I do have another minor gripe, the charging cord that comes with the unit is only about 2' long. I do think they should include the cable with their connector from their solar input port to a standard solar connector (possibly fused) in the box. After some digging into the online information I found the type of connector, I'd not call it common. I really do like the size/weight of the unit. It's pretty powerful and the smartness of the device is wonderful, BUT they needed better error/diagnostics information. The good news is the unit's firmware can be upgraded via your phone's connectivity. But for my needs I think that I need to get a unit just a little bigger, this does have a place, and for my Astronomy it might be nearly perfect (when minimum weight really matters).

Fantastic Power Bank for Home and Travel

Anker is well-known for making great portable charging and lithium ion battery devices like power banks, chargers, anything that keeps your battery-powered devices better and the C300X adds another fantastic device to their portfolio with a portable charging power station that allows multiple outputs and a smart capability that also tells you how much each connected device is drawing, how much sustained output the C300X has left in minutes, and how much charge % it has leftover.
You can connect via the Anker app, which gives you info on how much each connected device is drawing, what temperature the battery housing is, and what % and remaining usage time at the current output as mentioned. I was able to charge and use a thin/light XPS13 drawing 60W, my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and M.2 iPad Air all at the same time without any issues and the C300X showed it could sustain that level of output for 4 Hours.
It also tells you how fast it will charge via AC 120V input. You can also charge the C300X using an optional solar panel kit and while the marketing documentation shows someone carrying this thing with solar panels charging, unless you are really out on some outdoor expedition without a power source and need to power a bunch of devices, I'm not sure how feasible this really is given the C300X weighs about 10lbs and is kind of big to sling around, although it is very compact for what it is.
What the C300X is absolutely perfect for is Camping where you can stick it by the camp fire or inside a tent and power or charge your devices. Or at the beach, where you can stick it under an umbrella or shade shelter and power your tunes or even a small fan for your kids. I also use it for powering my BBQ equipment where I sometimes run out of power near the end of a long cook, I can plug my FireBoard2 into the C300X and get some extra power.
There's also a built-in light, a nice carrying handle, Car Port, 120V, USB-A and USB-C outputs. Truly a great travel companion outside the house, but also a great power/charging hub inside the house. You can even use it like a UPS if you wanted to by plugging it in near your internet router and plugging your router into the C300X to keep it running if your power goes out. Given the router only uses 45W or so, you can power it for about 6 hours with the C300X to keep your internet going.

The Anker C300 is basically a mini C1000 - all of the same awesome connectivity features, WiFi and Bluetooth, and works as a great UPS for network equipment like an ONT or cable modem. The versatility of being able to take it anywhere is a huge bonus. Definitely recommend it!

Fantastic next generation battery backup

These lithium battery backups are the future. This newer series Anker power station has a kickover to battery of 10ms or quicker. I use this as a battery backup for my fiber router, work laptop, and associated 24" external monitor. With my old lead acid 1500va backup, it estimated 55 min. of runtime (which is very generous, it lasted closer to 35 min.). I recently tested this unit by unplugging it and it lasted for just over 5 hours. It has no fans which means no noise when running. The top does get warm when running normally or on battery (neither are hot to the touch).

Best portable big battery I’ve gotten. It’s a serious upgrade from the small ones I’ve gotten over the years. It lasts for little more than 2 weeks using it 5 days a week. It also can be charged pretty fast and charges other devices relatively quickly.

This unit is not at all heavy and packs enough power to power two guitar amplifiers simultaneously. I've also used it to power a studio strobe and in both cases it worked reliably. It charges very quickly.

I bought this to add to my collection of many portable power stations. I also bought it to review on my YT channel (search FamilyGeekery).
Long story short, this thing is awesome. Plenty of power and tons of features when comparing against similar sized models. The USB-C output is amazing, and being able to charge via USB-C makes charging on the go a lot more convenient.
This C300X version (versus the C300) seems to include the strap, which might seem menial, but it’s actually a great strap!
Do a little research about your power and capacity needs (watts and Wh needed for your devices). If this one fits those needs, then you won’t be disappointed!
