Works fine w games, cant notice any defects/tearing. Using w 1070. Did not come w any cables except the power and hdmi. Listing advertised dp, usb, audio. Aoc said to contact retailer. BB gave 20 bucks refund, so worthwhile. Connect w dp to use gsync. Movies/shows do look darker than you would want. Fine for browsing web/productivity/games. Great for dual screen set up when other monitor can be used for vids.

(You should know that I use a GTX 1660ti, so this is just based off my experience playing video games with an Nvidia card)
First and most important, the high hertz + g-sync compatibility combo is quite fluid even for daily browsing. Screen tearing is eliminated entirely, and flickering is at least reduced to the point where it's negligible. There is a bit of smearing, but at least there isn't any ghosting.
1080p looks fine at this size, pixel density isn't an issue.
Video playback is where this monitor has issues. Since it's sync range is limited (40-144 or so) 30 fps video can be quite gross. Even watching a comedy routine really brings out stutters, not to mention a fast paced film. Any sort of panning is painfully choppy, but if you're coming from a crappy monitor like I am that won't be new.
1080p video (YouTube) can also just look really pixelated and gross, and I'm honestly not sure why. I'm not too picky, but you might be.
Other things to mention: the UI is easy to use thanks to the joystick on the back, but the speaker setup makes almost no sense. It seems that it only outputs audio over HDMI, but I haven't been able to figure it out from there.
G-sync took about five seconds to set up, which makes my life easier. Physically setting up the monitor was easy as well.
Make sure to actually enable 144 hertz in display settings (you have to go to adapter properties).
Overall if you just play video games and do your homework on your computer, this will do fine, and you'll hardly be disappointed. If you watch a lot of movies or do video editing and such, this probably isn't ideal. Maybe watch movies and videos on your phone, they're getting to the size of tablets anyway.
For photo editing I'd recommend an IPS panel or something that has better color accuracy.

I'm not very verbose with these things, but here's the highlights.
-it is gsync compatible. That is a big deal and I'm not sure why it isn't really mentioned on the page. It wasn't when I bought it. I had to do some digging on AOC's website to find it. I don't even think it's on the box. I have a rtx 2060 super and it works perfectly.
-you can toggle through some presets for colors. I just leave it on the fps setting cause it darkens some of the blinding whites. Should probably play with the contrast and brightness settings some more. The button in on the back though and isn't the easiest to reach. plus you can push and pull it in directions to quick change certain options, but since your reaching behind the screen, you have to just read what pops up on the screen to know what your doing.
-yeah the red bar is kind of annoying since i have an all blue set up other wise, but oh well. It's really not that noticeable in darker rooms. Pretty much blends into the task bar if you care about that kind of thing.
-the price is near unbeatable for a monitor that has gsync. Pretty sure the next cheapest option is 200 dollars more.

My son built a computer and needed a monitor to go with what he put together (college comp sci major). Looked around at multiple monitors from numerous brands and websites. This one had everything we were looking for, price, HD resolution, great refresh rate, and rapid 1ms response. He has been very happy and it has met his expectations.

I love motion pictures. And with a higher framerate, I can definitely tell the differences from my old monitor that was 75hz. Considering how I use my screen mostly for games that are fast spaced, it is definitely a worthwhile investment. And a much better choice than a 4k monitor with only 60hz. Also 24.5" is a pretty good size. At 27" it can be harder to see the edges of the screen in games.

This is the second AOC monitor I've owned and I have to say I'm very impressed with this company's price to performance. The image is crisp and clear. There are no dead pixels. The monitor is compatible with Gsync and it performs flawlessly.
The only downside is that, much like other reviewers have noted, it does require a bit of picture adjustment out of the box. This isn't to say it's a huge con because it only took about ten minutes of fiddling to have the picture how I wanted it, but it was just noteworthy enough to drop a star from the review. Still, at $200, 144hz at 1ms response times you're not going to find a much better deal.

Just got this monitor because of the Adaptive Sync feature. Overall was very satisfied with the purchase although I would have preferred a adjustable stand. I'm not sure if it's vesa compatible? Definitely a great monitor for gaming. Would have preferred for the bottom of the screen to be black instead of red. Especially if you're trying to make a color scheme from your setup
Pros:
- Adaptive Sync
- 144hz 1ms
- Big enough screen for gaming
- Great Price
Cons:
- Not Adjustable Stand
- The red base on the bottom would have been better if it's just black.

I got this monitor about a month ago to replace an older dell 1280 x 1024 monitor for gaming. Its size is roughly ideal for its performance. It is large enough to allow for a great gaming performance while still being small enough to prevent it from being awkward on my desk. This monitor provided me with the best and most crisp graphics I have ever had for games like Stellaris. I would be cautious about going any larger with this level of performance unless you have a good graphics card. I had to cut the frame rate back to 70 FPS in Stellaris for my RX 580 to keep up. For other less graphics intensive games, the performance has been ideal.

AOC built a really nice monitor i'm not a hardcore gamer but iv'e been play online shooting an racing games for yrs now an have always had a 60hz monitor but i had been watching this AOC monitor for awhile an when i seen it on sale for 199.99 had went for it ..like many people have said before once you tryout a 144hz or higher you wont got back to 60hz..cant say enough about this monitor the picture an text are very clear for me all i did was turn the brightness down a bit..for the money to this monitor is hands down the best you'll find an is G-Sync/freesync compatible smart people at AOC..maybe the other gaming monitor companys can learn from this...one more thing evein at the regular price which was 249.99 this monitor is still worth every penny...

I bought this to try 144hz, having been stuck with an older Asus 75hz monitor for a few years. Apparently not everyone can tell that much of a difference beyond ~60hz but once I had this setup it was practically night and day difference personally. Part of the reason I bought this was because it used a newer 24.5in TN panel with much better brightness and contrast than the older 23.8in TN ones. This was definitely on the more affordable side but after a year it hasn't failed me yet. Controls are also really easy with a control stick on the back instead of 4-7 buttons. The whole bezel-less look is better than I gave it credit for too.

Kids wanted to get the 144hz monitor for that fortnite and they haven’t complained. Call of duty they’ll change the settings and able to adjust accordingly and so far so good. It’s responsive and clear. Only negative is no ability to adjust the height and physical effects. But overall gets the job done currently.

So far so good. No problems. The color calibration is a little hard to set up with all the different modes they have. I’m also able to get 144hz using a hdmi cable. The monitor doesn’t come with built in speakers but there is a Aux jack if you want to set up speakers if you’re not using headphones

Very nice monitor for the price. Resolution and refresh rate are very nice. Controls are a little odd...just a single "button" for the menu and navigation.
