Generally speaking I'm not a huge fanboy of any product that simply does it's job. I appreciate that it does and move one. That said, I've been particularly pleased with this purchase. Based on my research at this price point you can't find better protection. Maybe similar. Nor the additional features such as voltage regulation. Panamax and Furman mid level products are still at least twice as expensive and APC has been in the business of power solutions for a LONG time. I do believe this had a positive impact on noise floor for stereo listening and depth of field and black levels on our plasma since calibration. Are they groundbreaking? Well I like it better than I did before. Then again I really liked the sound and picture before, too. I got it for protection. I like it for performance! I admit I do think the build quality is superb. It's built like a tank. The only downside is the back panel, while it has a number of sockets with a few filter options, is a little tight and it makes it a bit of a puzzle getting all the plugs to fit nicely next to each other depending on how big each one is. I got mine to fit well eventually after a couple configurations. Not a big deal.
