My first battery backup, bought it for home office to make sure I can still work and answer calls on VOIP. Works great, does what it's supposed to do, haven't had any issues with it yet, however it does beep rather loudly when I print and the printer isn't even plugged in to the unit.

This APC UPS unit has the spec as 500VA model but the price is about the same as 350VA. I use it for a laptop so I don't need a big one. This one works perfectly for me.

It's a well built power surge that allows me the confidence to keep several hard drives pluged into my server which allows me remote access from anywhere.

This item is so easy to set up and use. Plug it in the wall socket and plug your stuff into it, simple as that. The battery backup is quality too.

No USB port for power state back to the machine, but it doesn't advertise one so I can't fault them for that! Easy to install, easy to use.

We had a huge power surge a few months ago. Some of our other surge protectors blew out, but this continued to work and kept our computer safe.

I have purchased many of these for homes and offices. Removes spikes and dropouts even for less than a second which often cause modems and routers to lockup requiring a full restart. Also protects from lightning spikes coming in from the cable lines. Can also be used during a power outage. When used with LED table lamps can last for many hours.

I purchased this item about 2 years ago, and I have over $5000 worth of electronics plugged into it. Then the worst thing happened! Lightning hit our powerpole and surged our house. To my great relief this battery back up ate the whole surge and protected all of my items (tv, pc, xbox one, ps4, etc..) I didn't hesitate to replace it with the same product. Very very cheap insurance in my opinion.

I live in a very old house, with very old wiring. The power is so terrible that when i switch on my vacuum or garbage disposal the power drops enough, for half a second, to power down my media server. I added the UPS and now the problem is gone. Not only that but now if the power does go out the UPS can tell my system to hibernate until the mains power has returned.

Using for an AV setup and this unit is compact for this wattage level. Got a get price from BB.

Bought this to provide backup power to a cable modem and router in a home environment. Easy to install and plenty of outlets for equipment. I like to put child-proof outlet covers in unused outlets to keep family members from plugging something like a vacuum in what appears to be an available outlet. Have used these for years in many family members houses. Even the battery replacement is a snap. Highly recommend.

I am very glad that invested in the Back-UPS! A few weeks after my purchase, we suffered an outtage, and the APC - Back-UPS 450VA Network 40 UPS performed EXACTLY as promised! I was able to finalize our recording, save it, back it up to DropBox, and power down all of the equipment properly. This device saved me a lot of aggravation.

The APC Back-UPS 450VA battery back up is more than adequate for my desktop computer. It has 4 backup outlets and 4 surge protection outlets, as well as outlets for protection against a surge in the network cable. It also can be monitored by software on my computer through a USB cable connection.

We like the size and style and its great performance. Great product for value.

I bought this to replace a surge protector. We have a lot of quick power outages and I wanted the battery backup for continuous power to my modem, Wi-Fi and network phone extender. I'm not sure how long it will last for a long outage, but it works great for the many brief outages we get.

Selected APC battery backup to protect computer system. Prior battery backup died and since it does not have the capability to replace the battery, which the APC does, required replacement. Selected APC for features, price and fact the battery may be replaced if needed.

Overall, this product does what it's supposed to, however, what I didn't realize was the Ethernet port will only run 10/100 not 1000, so that protection is useless. Also, the USB port isn't for ups monitoring, so I can't use it, therefore, I can only use this as a dumb UPS to use for the occasional power outage, which is what I needed, but I had hoped I could have had the other features as well.
