This purchase is akin to insurance for your electronics. It's much better to have it and never use it then not. There are no second chances for a power surge, lighting strike or other critical electrical failure. This specific surge protector is ideal for my setup and APC is a reliable brand that I trust with over $4,000 worth of electronics plugged into it. Don't forget Best Buy will price match! So exercise due diligence and research for the most competitive prices!

Nice compact power strip, more space for big power blocks, the usb could be moved as it’s still awkward to access but better than most. Most people will not have a on/off switch for a subwoofer as I do.

I liked the product features and layout so well that I purchased a second unit. The rotating power cord is a great feature that allows varying placement on component shelves or cabinet enclosures. The Power switch, status LED, and 8 outlets are well positioned to accommodate AC plugs and AC/DC adapters for TV, DVD players, Xbox, soundbars, and other accessories. And, it offers great protection for all your attached components against power surges. I have several other APC surge protectors in use for many years protecting my computers, tablet chargers, and peripheral equipment with no failures of the device, while I have visually observed many power spikes and surges on unprotected lighting fixtures. APC is a brand you can trust!!!

This is an excellent surge protector. My wife and I are renting a small space from my in-laws and we have limited room and a fair amount of electronics. This is a real life saver and have certainly allowed me to connect everything without worry. I highlight recommend this product and it is a good value. Been going strong for over 2 years now and zero issues.

Excellent product and a trusted manufacturer. Although I haven't had any surges or power outages yet, I can trust to leave this surge protector plugged in and powered on and leave my house... with confidence! I decided to purchase this brand from BestBuy with a price match and return my AmazonBasics surge protector, because of recent negative news on their brand catching fire and causing injury and damage. The AmazonBasics surge protectors have tons of good reviews (which I fell for), but the negative reviews are pretty terrible, especially when it comes to safety, fires and defective parts. Google a good price for this, ask for a price match, then just go with a trusted brand like APC.

APC is the ONLY way to go with surge protection products and backup batteries (UPS's). You can get cheaper surge protectors by off brands but, I don't know any ....ANY other than APC that stand totally behind their product to where they'll guarantee replacing your hardware damaged while using APC products up to $100,000.00 if my memory serves me correctly. Yes.....thousands of dollars will be paid for in the event damage is incurred on APC's watch due to failure of their product. Chew on that for a few minutes before you decide to buy any other brand that does not have a similar replacement guarantee. I have yet to actually use this unit but, I've had two of their USP's over the years and they have been life savers in regards to some of my computer hardware not burning up with lightning strikes and power surges and such. So....I don't expect any problems out of this item......and it's virtually guaranteed by their coverage policy that there won't be any problems if the item fails to do what it is supposed to do.

Good surge protector with 4 wide spaced plugs, 4 normal spaced ones, and 2 USB charging ports built in. Lots of options and flexible for different sized plugs. The USB ports share a total of 2.4Amps between them. Great when you don't need something as big as the 11 plug surge protector. Great price when on sale.

I've been using this surge protector for a year, almost all of the outlets are in use and have had no issues with it. There have been multiple power interruptions at my home due to bad weather since I've started using it and it has protected my equipment well.

Honestly very well done. It was on sale for a good portion, and I can say that I certainly got my money's worth. The USB ports are a great help, the many outlets both horizontal and vertical- all of it works well together. If you got a lot of power and not enough outlets, this is the one that works it out best.

Honestly I almost returned this. The first few hours I set this up with my PC it kept shorting and turning my PC off. However weirdly enough it hasn’t done it since the first day. It did it about 3 times over a span of 5 hours. But I was busy so I wasn’t playing on my PC or going to bother with it yet. When it was time for me to get online it never shorted and still hasn’t and it’s been 4 months. Not sure what that was all about to be honest. I never changed anything added or removed things from plugged in. I bought this to protect my PC since I live in an apartment and I don’t trust this place not getting shorted and I didn’t want to take the chance with my expensive brand new PC. We did in fact have one short circuit. The entire building went out for about 30 minutes while I was gaming. And the surge protector showed that it protected my PC. I was so thankful I purchased this! As for the outlets and plug ins they’re amazing. Great spacing and direction I also love the plug in for the outlet itself it’s a good size to hide and I like having the USB to charge my phone without a wall charger adaptor. I have zero complaints and it’s worth every penny!

I purchased a couple of these for all of my technology. I have a computer, printer, Xbox & a ps4. I had some pretty out-dated power strips and felt it was time to upgrade. I feel safe now knowing all my tech is securely being powered by these. Worth the $.

Haven't had any power spikes, so can't attest as to the surge protection. It correctly identifies wall outlets with improper grounding though, and the USB ports are very handy.

First off, people are saying that the outlets aren't deep enough for normal plugs. If you take a look at the video that a customer made allegedly verifying this, it looks like she's barely putting any pressure on the plug. I've been using APC strips for years and several of their models have very tight outlets at first, you just need to push it in hard enough. As for failed circuitry after a power surge, that's definitely an issue. I've never had a problem with that, knock on wood, and live in an area with a very active storm season. My personal experience is that APC works well, and this one that I purchased seems to be made in the same manner as others I've purchased.

I had to return the first one that I received because it was not new. The second one I received has worked as advertised and as expected. I love the flat plug and this unit is well made. I have had this Surge Protector since January 2021 and it's still going strong!

This is a solid, sturdy device with outlets in both directions, which comes in handy. It also can take a large amount of power and still protect your devices (I believe it’s 1650 joules). As a side point, no bright blue lights to light up the whole house (why do they do that??).

I got this surge protector at a very reasonable price. I immediately replaced the one behind our TV that holds all of our consoles and charging stations. I love the color and the slim size, the amount of plugs is perfect. The fact that we can charge via USB is great- it removes one more bulky brick from the mess! One thing I was super surprised/impressed by was the soft and flexible power cable. After I took off the packaging and twist ties, it laid flat and went around corners precisely how I wanted without lifting or twisting anything attached to it. If that kind of thing is your thing too, you know how good it feels! Overall, great purchase. I will replace it with another just like it when its surge protection wears out.
