This movie, with all the remastered footage, including footage never seen before, brings home what an amazing feat this was. The movie also lets me see what it would have looked like if the technology had been up to today's standards. I watched the moon landing on an old black and white TV in VietNam. It is still hard for me to wrap my head around that disconnect. Anyway, a great movie and well worth buying.

This documentary gives you tons of images of what happened at the launch pad, at the control station, during the flight to moon and back, the actual moon landing. It's amazing all the technology and care that went into this project. Images of the project have been around for 50 years, but you'll see new ones in this film.

I saw this in the theater and knew I had to get it when it became available on Blu-Ray. This is all original archived film put together to tell the story. The production of this film was excellent. I lived in Hawaii during the Apollo missions and was there when the astronauts were brought in to Pearl Harbor on the USS Hornet. I was privileged to be there to witness this historical moment.

This is a real 'for the ages' title to have. Just don't roll out a 4K on this and I'll be happy that I spent my money wisely. Listen to the words that Cronkite uses in his reportage... he wrote all of it! The 65mm transfer of the crowds at launch will really put you there. It's uncanny how fresh it looks.

This film took me back to age 15 when I still dreamed of being an astronaut. I have forgotten so much, how monumental the task was, how we accomplished this in so relatively little time with minimal computation abilities, and the audacity of dreaming so big. It made me proud, once again, to be an American.

An incredible film. Not a typical documentary-no voice-overs, no interviews. Instead a start to finish of the Apollo 11 mission starting from a few days before launch to shortly after the return. Beautiful filming, incredible clarity both on the visuals and audio. Utterly absorbing, magnificent film.

This documentary was made from original archival film footage, including some 70mm sources as well as 16mm and 35mm. There is no narration, you just see what happens as it happens. This is an excellent film and the detail is astounding from the 70mm stock. Highly recommended for spacebuffs or not

The video quality is stunning. The 65mm video is super crisp and the colors pop. The pre-flight footage is especially stunning. The soundtrack is magnificent and adds a lot to the footage as it is shown on screen. A great addition to anyone's collection if you are a fan of the moon landings.

This movie is put together in a wonderful way that takes me back to my childhood from all of the things I remember in following the space race to the moon. Great clips and footage of the real events that took place along with excellent explanation of the details of the mission.

This is one of the finest movies that has been produced on Apollo 11.
There is footage in the film that I have never seen and it has been enhanced to look even better than the original. Watch the launch footage. The film is great and besides which I am in it. Buy it!!

This documentary is about man's first landing on the moon, and the first humans to walk on the moon. This is the real deal. Footage found at NASA turned into a goldmine for this movie. I guarantee you will watch it several times or more. It is a keeper for sure.

I'm old enough to remember sitting in front of the TV watching the Apollo moon landings as a kid. Seeing it again in HD blew me away, the picture quality is amazing! My only complaint is that it's too short, would have loved to have seen more!

Most of the NASA footage from the era people are familiar with is grainy and of generally poor quality. Some of the large format film scenes from Apollo 11 look like they were shot yesterday. This is truly an archival quality documentary. .

This is one of the best documentary / movies about the Apollo 11 mission. Saw this on the IMAX and knew I would have to own it. My only complaint is in the movie it shows you how fast the spacecraft was moving and these numbers are way to small to read on the TV. So that is a bit of a let down.

This is some of the best restored video I’ve ever seen! I’ve always been excited by the Saturn V ever since I was a kid, but these first and second stage footages are AMAZING! And I have never seen these!

I have been in love with manned space flight since the Gemini program, and I sat in awe with everyone else in July 1969 as we watched the impossible happen.
This film is made from authentic footage of the real people performing a miracle in real time. Wow!

This movie does a wonderful job of taking you back to the Apollo 11 launch. The footage is extremely crisp (especially considering it is 50 years old) and feels contemporary. If you are a fan of the space program i highly recommend watching this.

Ok, some of the narration is a bit slow but it is easily overlooked for this super-fantastic- documentary.
