Couldn't be happier with this iPad! The differences, even between it and the iPad Pro 97, are appreciable. I love the new screen size, the extra room this size allows for the keyboard, the increased processing speed and the ability to use my Logitech Slim Combo keyboard case and Apple Pencil with it and recommend them as well. Both accessories have added to my enjoyment while using it. I found the 12.9" version too big for my needs but LOVE this 10.5" size. The camera is outstanding and Live Photos are a very nice feature. Can't beat the videos with this. Battery life is excellent even with the keyboard and pencil. In fact, it is hard to notice the battery drain from the keyboard (Smart Connection) and pen (Bluetooth). It's an anniversary present from my husband that I couldn't appreciate more! I (we) highly recommend this iPad Pro 10.5.

I’m going to try and give an honest review for the iPad Pro 10.5 256GB. First let me say that I was coming from a iPad mini 2 (Retina Display) so the bar was set pretty low. Now, I am in the IT industry so i have a fairly good idea of when performance is limited by software, hardware or external factors like internet issues.
The reasons I wanted to get something new are as follows.
1) The iPad Mini 2 was really starting to show signs of age and running really slow.
2) Ever since Microsoft put out some security updates, Google SketchUp stopped working for me.
3) My laptop was not able to keep up with my Video editing demands, even though they may be minor.
My PC Specs: 3rd Gen i5, 12GB of RAM, 256SSD hard drive, 17.3” screen.
I looked at chrome books, smaller laptops with i7 CPUs and with dedicated video cards, and iPads. My Requirements were as follows:
1) Able to use some sort of 3D design software.
2) Able to use decent Video Editing Software.
3) Easy to move around and work off the couch or in the car.
4) Compact, light, good battery life and easy to move around.
5) Keyboard that is detachable or foldable for strict use as a tablet.
6) SSD Hard Drive
7) FAST!!!!
I finally decided the iPad was the way to go and it had to be the iPad Pro. My first impressions were, ok, it’s another iPad and everything is fast on it but what can it really do? The more I used it, the more i realized that it can do.
Webpages loaded fast and looked very clean. I was able to fit more on the screen without scrolling around. I found it to be highly compatible with most websites. Meaning, they actually function! The old iPad Mini 2 was very slow at browsing and things could take a long time. On the IPad Pro, web browsing seems faster than my PC.
It look me a few minutes to get used to the multitasking and screen splitting capabilities but it works really well. I can finally have two things on the screen so I can copy and past or enter key info from an email to a website.
I ended up using Shapr3D for design. It works extremely well and is fast and smooth.
For video editing I use LumaFusion. I used an SD card reader to import about 32 GB of video files. It only took what seemed like 2 minutes. It was much faster than when i imported to my PC.
Using the video editing software was also very smooth and quick. Everything i did in it was fast. Even when it came down to exporting the video. This is something that could take 30 to 40 minutes on my PC and the iPad did it in like 3 minutes.
Overall i could not be happier. I did get the Logitech keyboard, Apple Pencil and Zag Screen protector with the iPad. The Pencil and Keyboard are awesome. The Zag screen protector, ehh... Its very clear but seems to show a lot of glar and finger prints.

Worth the upgrade from the iPad Pro 9.7”

I decided to upgrade from my iPad Pro 9.7 for several reasons. I wanted a larger screen and the 10.5 gives me more real estate while still being easy to carry. The faster processor was another big factor and so far everything is running smooth. You can really see the improvement in performance. I also was running out of storage on my 9.7 so the 256GB was a good value for the money, especially with the $150 off sale. This iPad has a beautiful screen and is a joy to use.

I'd had an iPad 2 for years. Something went wrong inside (not related to OS upgrade). Cost to repair an older machine vs cost to replace (on sale) + trade-in and get new... Quite happy with new machine. Better images, more storage, faster, lighter, battery lasts longer... Paired with Zagg rugged messenger book keyboard. Very Happy.

Thumbs up for classes

I bought this because I wanted something that I could take notes with in class. I tried to replace traditional note-taking (in notebooks) with other tablets including the iPad Air but it never felt right and I always reverted back to using notebooks. The iPad Pro, however, works beautifully with the apple pen and feels really natural. I can take notes easily and comfortably (it no longer feels awkward as with other tablets). My favorite thing about it is that I can follow along with my professors on the PowerPoints and take notes directly on each PowerPoint - I recommend the app Liquid Text if you would like to do this. I also draw which makes this iPad even more useful and fun to use for me. My last iPad was the Air and it literally just sat and collected dust because I found zero use for it. Now Apple has made the iPad much more functional and practical for someone like me. I can organize all of my class notes and consolidate all of my textbooks with e-books on this device which of course you can do with other tablets but the fact that I am now able to actively take notes on it makes the act much more rewarding. Now my backpack is filled with weightlessness and don't have to walk all the way back to my car just to get a notebook or textbook so I can study at the library :)
If you're in the market for an iPad right now then I highly recommend this one along with the Apple Pen.

Look Android Power user here. I have owned countless of Android tablets over the years, have only owned and still use Android phones. I simply love the openness of the Android OS.
Be that as it may, I have been enthralled by the latest 10.5 iPad Pro for some time and finally decided to bite the bullet and made the purchase. I will give Apple this much: their device screams top notch in quality and the latest IOS 11.x update has come leaps and bounds to make the user experience that more fluid. Everything is responsive in terms of multitasking so far and apps open super fast. I would have wanted Apple to build a mini 5 with same processing power and memory as I think the mini is the perfect size for portability and reading but it does not seem this will happen. The display with its TrueTone display and refresh rate seem to make it future proof (at least 2 -3 years maybe).
While I am still going to remain an Android purist, I feel Apple has built a pretty powerful device in the 10.5 Pro. I expect the device to become my daily driver for tablet use (reading, browsing the net, work-related task,...) as I ramp up my knowledge of the IOS platform. So far, so good Apple.

I have had an iPad 3 for several years and love it. My wife after many years of pushing back and carrying a MacBook Pro decided its time to enter the 21st century.
She loves the new device. Much bigger than her iPhone 6s and much lighter than her MacBook Pro.
The 256GB of storage allows her to store more pictures and music for on the go. It has all the functionality and power of the iphones just in a larger, easier for our aging eyes package.
I’ll be upgrading my own soon and won’t hesitate to get another iPad. I shopped around and Best Buy had the lowest price. They have price match guarantee so I wasn’t concerned about finding a lower price. I’ve had to get a price adjustment in the past and they make it so easy.

I have owned many versions of iPad, iPhone, iPod, iWatch. I do have plenty of experience with their products, and I can honestly say, this is the best one yet.
Screen quality is top notch, fast, responsive, just all around great product.
I also bought the Apple Pen, it’s awesome. Charge lasts a long time, and when it’s low, just plug it into the iPad for 10 minutes and you’ve got a 50% charge, which lasts for hours.
Put it in a zag keyboard case, and it’s protected from damage, and ready to work as a laptop or tablet.

Just received my new 10.5" iPad in gold. This is the first iPad I've personally owned, but I've used many in the past. Wow do I love this thing! It's lightning fast and the size is just perfect for me. It feels like I'm carrying around a children's book (i.e. it's light and just the right size). The colors are great and the battery life is phenomenal. I haven't purchased the Apple Pencil yet, but fully intend on doing so. This is going to become my "go-to" device from now on.

I never write reviews but always read many so thought I would finally contribute. I upgraded from iPad Air 16 GB (first version—2013) to iPad Pro 10.5 256 GB. What an upgrade and much needed one at that! Received an in-store credit for iPad Air trade-in and got the iPad on sale, too. Like the 10.5 size—little bigger than the 9.7 but not too big to carry around. Contemplated just getting latest version of 9.7 iPad but there are so many advantages to getting iPad Pro that I felt like extra money was worth the investment. Improved features from iPad Air: 1) Picture quality; 2) Faster responsiveness of touch (compared to my old iPad that was starting to have problems); 3) More memory; 4) Fingerprint identification to unlock; 5) More speakers/improved sound quality. While memory capacity is not an issue if you use cloud or third-party storage (I.e. Dropbox), it will be nice to have this, given the video quality capability is improved on this. I have not bought an Apple Pencil yet—will see if I can do without. I mainly use iPad for email, surfing web/social media, referencing documents in meetings and lecture notes for class. All in all, after all my research, I decided to upgrade to iPad Pro 10.5 instead of just 9.7 newest iPad. A little more money goes a long way in getting extra features. If you’re contemplating between 9.7 version and iPad Pro, go with the iPad Pro. Finally, I always pair my iPad with a Zagg keyboard folio case and Zagg shield. Makes iPad so much more functional and easy to use. Good luck on your research! Happy shopping!

i bought the 2017 ipadpro with 256gb a month ago. it is such an unbelievable improvement over my old ipad. it is super clear and fast. the addition of the smart keyboard makes it much easier and more natural to do any typing. it provides a very beautiful and protective case when closed and a convenient upright position of the ipad when you are working on it. this model is a pleasure to use. i highly recommend this model to anyone looking to upgrade!

i’m really enjoying my new ipad pro 10.5 w/ 256gb. debated between upgrading my iphone 6s 16gb to 8s or get a new ipad. have been using my daughters old ipad mini (first edition?) which was very slow. so glad i went with new ipad. phone is just too small anymore to browse internet, etc. even wearing my readers, LOL. i’ll keep my phone for texting & calls. love the screen size & speed. also bought apple pencil.... merry christmas to me.

iPad Pro 10.5, 64GB beats 6th Gen iPad 9.7, 128GB

If you can’t decide between the iPad 9.7 128GB and iPad Pro 10.5 64GB, consider the upgraded iPad 10.5 features listed below, which costs around $150 more than the iPad 9.7 128GB:
Slightly larger, higher resolution, and laminated display. Tapping the iPad 9.7 screen sounds hollow, where tapping the 10.5 Pro screen sounds solid.
ipad 9.7 screen looks like a mirror and you could almost use it to comb your hair, where the iPad 10.5 Pro display is not very reflective and easier to view in the sunlight. The 10.5 Pro has antireflective coating, Promotion technology, wide color display, true tone display, optical image stabilization.
Higher resolution rear camera and a much higher resolution front camera.
Rear camera flash on iPad 10.5 Pro vs no rear flash on iPad 9.7.
Faster Processor, A10X Fusion vs A10 Fusion.
4GB RAM vs 2GB RAM.
4K HD Video vs 1080P.
Faster Graphics.
4 Speaker Audio vs 2 Speaker Audio.
Another worthwhile upgrade: the price difference between 64GB and 256GB on the iPad 10.5 Pro is around $125, definitely worth getting the 256GB model.

This is hands-down the best iPad yet. It’s light and not much larger than the 9.7 inch but has 20% more screen real estate. It’s fast and powerful. Also I was able to watch three movies on an international flight recently and still had 70% battery left. Granted I was upgrading from a second-generation iPad but even compared to the iPad Air 2 this is a huge improvement.

This 10.5'' pro version is best in size, display and performance. Also this is super light as iPad Air.
The 12'' was too large for me hence I went for the 10.5'' one. The display is best in class and the performance is lighting fast. It can compete with latest Macbook Pro in processing speed. Upgraded to iOS 11 after initial setup and it is buttery smooth.

At first I thought 10.5 was too small but it is the perfect size for me. Very portable and light. I use this iPad Pro mainly for note taking for college and I Love it! I can organize my notes and basically mirror my phone onto my iPad! The iPad is fast and I can multitask! I love split screen! The quality is definitely worth the investment!

Have had 2 iPads before this (iPad Air last one)... and this is just a joy to use ... the bigger size and use of the Apple Pencil is great. Screen sharp the speakers on this device enhance everything. The weight is super, lite weight still exploring everything it can do. Love the expanded note pad program. I take this item with me wherever i go. Use to have the mini. Through I liked it, thus iPad Pro beats it hands down.
