The iPad Pro 12.9 inch is a powerful and versatile device, perfect for both personal and professional use. The 12.9-inch Retina display is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and a high resolution that makes everything from videos to photos look incredible. The M1 chip provides smooth and fast performance, making it easy to multitask and run demanding apps. The cameras on the iPad Pro are also impressive, with a 12MP main camera and a 10MP ultra-wide camera, making it possible to take professional-quality photos and videos. The battery life is also very good, lasting for hours on a single charge. Additionally, the iPad Pro supports Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, which can be very useful for tasks such as note-taking and drawing. Overall, the iPad Pro 12.9 inch is a top-of-the-line tablet that is well worth the investment for anyone looking for a high-performance device.

Best purchase I’ve ever made. I use for my business (artist) and for school, documents, literally everything. I also have an a MacBook Air, iPhone, and Apple Watch, so I love that i can easily transition from one device to the other depending on my needs at the moment, where I am, etc. Most people in my life are surprised to ever see me without it, which honestly is rare. I’ve never had an issue and with a good case, it’ll withstand a good drop. It’s fast, clear, and does literally everything for me. I prefer the bigger size, but do find it slightly cumbersome for things like ebooks. Battery life is better than my MacBook and my phone, and it charges faster than both too. Super love the magnetic side that connects to my Apple Pencil.

M1 over M2

I exchanged my M2 ipad pro 12.9 for this M1 ipad pro. Price to performance and my needs the price could not be justified. The M2 ipad is great profuct but is held back by app limitations. So is the M1. There really isn’t too many apps out there that really push either M1 or M2 to their potential. I use my ipad for gaming using the Apple Arcade and Xbox Cloud gaming services. I don’t do 4k video editing or any heavy task. So Why a pro model? Because of the refresh rate. 120 hz is nice and smooth. Why the 12.9 iPad Pro 5th gen? Because of the mini LED display. You don’t get mini led on the 11inch models. The display is amazing and yes it’s big and a bit heavy, but I’m used to it now. With any M1 ipad you can use stage manager which for me as a gamer turns my iPad into a gaming console once connected to a tv. I also purchased the Apple Pencil 2 and it’s great but almost never use it. Anyway, My M2 ipad cost $1,199. A couple weeks later Best Buy had the M1 12.9 256gb on sell NEW for $899. Price to performance and my usages just didn’t warrant the almost $300. Hope my review helps you out. Ps the M2 gains about a 40% gpu performance hike over the m1. But again that means nothing in real world usage if there aren’t apps to really utilize that power. And don’t buy the latest and greatest M2 with the hopes of promised future apps that will need the extra power. Remember Apple is great about maximizing apps for legacy Apple devices.

Got it for my girlfriend and she loves it. It’s been 3 years and it works great and no issues. She’s a iPad kid so it’s perfect for her. It had no lag issues with all the apps she uses and size it’s perfect when she uses her drawing apps as well.

This large 12.9-inch screen is a great advantage when working with a MacBook and using it alone. Currently, iPad Pro 6th generation is too expensive. I bought this one as a substitute for Ipad pro 6th gen and bought the open box product at a much lower price than I thought. I'm very satisfied with the price and performance.

It’s been a great iPad Pro. This is my third. I fully suggest the larger one just for the better screen alone. It’s also nice that they have shrunk down the bezels. This M1 is so much smaller than my gen 1 iPad Pro. Still weights a lot. But at least it’s fast as.

I cannot tell you how much I love this iPad, but I’ll try! As a college student I have found this to be the most helpful piece of technology next to my Macbook! I can download files and notes and write directly on them, or I can scan documents and do the same! I love how detailed I can be and the screen is the perfect size! I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited to set it up to dual screen with my Macbook! I’m soo incredibly happy with my purchase! I recommend also adding a screen protector and camera protector along with a case to really keep your product in prime condition

The 12.9-Inch iPad Pro is a great product for anyone looking to take their tablet to the next level. The large screen size is perfect for drawing or taking notes, and it's difficult to go back to a smaller screen size after getting used to it. The speed of the M1 chip is a huge upgrade as well. The only downside to this model is the size of the display that may use up battery much quicker than one might expect, especially if set to a high brightness setting.

It’s not a MacBook. It’s an IPad!!

I went on a exploration of the new 2021 iPad’s. I started off with the IPad Air. I then exchanged it for the IPad Pro 11 and then decided to exchange it for my final destination: IPad Pro 12.9. I must say I was impressed with all three IPad’s. However, what it came down to for me was screen real estate. I certainly researched the various new iPads’ before making my decision. There is a lot of tech reviews on YouTube and perhaps even on the the reviews here at Best Buy where uses share that the IPad falls short from being a computer like MacBook. First and foremost, let me just first start out by saying, this is a tablet and not a MacBook. Tech reviewers seem to not be able to grasp the concept that they are two different Apple products that offer two different OS’s. If you looking for a full system that offers software without limitations then, MacOS or MacBook is going to be your best fit. However, you need functionality of daily productivity suites such as Microsoft Office. The IPad line up will support that endeavor. Most don’t seem to understand Apple’s business model. Sure, they put the M1 chip into the iPad but just because it’s in the MacBook Pro doesn’t mean it’s a MacBook. I weighed out the options. Certainly, the M1 chip is going to pack power which from a long term perspective means somewhat future proofing. If Apple released a MacBook OS to replace IPad OS than it would completely defeat their meaning of differentiation between their two product lines. If you are a photographer or videographer and are looking for excellent portability. Then, an IPad is for you. If you are a media consumption junking and like to browse the web, check email, read news and don’t like having a keyboard attached. Then an IPad is for you. Lastly, if you are an artist or student and like taking notes and enjoy using a touch screen in lieu of using a mouse for navigational purposes, than the IPad is for you. It is preference and I feel the IPad OS could use some improvements but the usability for all the things I have mentioned is completely feasible. Some say, well it’s over priced but is it? The features are a trade off and when you weigh out the features, the cost is justified. I feel the Apple Keyboard for the IPad is overpriced but it’s Apple and they can get away with it. I elected to use the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard and I find it extremely competitive and cost effective in contrast. After all, Logitech is licensed to design products for Apple so it makes sense. At the end of the day, don’t get it confused. An IPad isn’t going to be like a MacBook. Perhaps someday outside of the upcoming IPad OS 15 release, Apple with manage to integrate more features to support the power of the M1 but until then, it still is an amazing piece of technology. With that being said, I recommend this product as long as you understand that you purchase this tech with the full understanding that it isn’t going to be a MacBook.

A 5-Star Product, Just Needs Logic and Final Cut!

Everything about the iPad Pro is excellent, with one big exception, not enough Pro Apps to take advantage of the desktop class performance.
Fortunately we've been inching towards this, we have Lightroom, Photoshop/Illustrator (Albeit not the full versions), Da Vinci Resolve, and a few others. What we all want though, is proper Logic Pro and Final Cut, that would truly change the game for the creative industry!
Pro Tip, pair this with a Mac and you can use it as a second display with "Sidecar", or you can just control the iPad with your Macs kb/mouse with "Universal Control"

I switched from the M2 to the M1 Ipad pro 12.9. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get the larger one or the smaller one since of the weight. But after purchasing the larger one I am so glad I kept it. It works great, the M1 and M2 chip wasn't much of a difference in processing based off my needs and just couldn't justify the extra cash. I was able to use the extra cash and buy the magic keyboard. This was a great investment and is super fun to you. The speed is great and does everything I need it to do. If you can get the M1 over the M2 I would highly recommend it!

Best Investment for School

I decided to give the iPad a try for school and MCAT prep and so far, it’s been the best investment for myself. My penmanship was legible and the storage was large enough to store all of my saved school notes from iCloud and OneDrive. There is also a software built inside that learns my penmanship so each time I use it, the neater my penmanship. The only downside is that the iPad heats up very quickly and of course, apple needs to improve its battery life.

This is an amazing tablet! The size of the screen may be large for some but if you’re doing detailed work then this should be a definite consideration. With a super powerful M1 chip. I recommend this over the newly updated M2 which didn’t get many upgrades that justify buy it over this M1. Battery does drain with the screen at ultimate brightness which is between 500 and 600 nits. And when watching videos I recommend splitting the screen and making them smaller so they take up less processing power. Games on this are absolutely beautiful and can handle even the most graphics intense games.

Well this will be my first iPad since the release of the original iPad in 2010. So far it is as fast and as good as my Mac book pro. I also but the Apple keyboard and pencil. Which I will say is a must. Picture is amazing. All around great tablet best on the market.
