I am an avid Mac user-have been for 12 years now-between mac books, iPads, iPhones, Apple TV, and even time capsule-I prefer Mac over any other brand for simplicity sake. My primary use for this 21.5” iMac is photo editing and web use. I found this 3.0 GHz processor thinking for too long of periods at a time between applications. The 4K screen has crystal clear resolution to my eye’s desire. I did, however, feel the screen was a bit small even with having a small writers desk. This 21.5” has a nice price point at just over $1k, but all in all, I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my purchase and decided to exchange it for the 27” 3.4GHz-which the extra .4GHz does the trick for my liking! Best Buy gave me some difficulty with the purchasing process (I price matched-but customer service rep didn’t do it correctly and I had to go back to the store several times...additionally, I purchased Microsoft Office personal to go with the iMac-which I found out they failed to activate upon purchase when I got home-so that was another trip back to Best Buy). I would still buy electronics through Best Buy again just for their decent price matching policy..but as for software, I will be going elsewhere in the future! Overall a great basic computer if you are looking to transition into using Apple products-but still would suggest paying the extra $500 or so to upgrade to the 27”-it’s worth it!

Bought this so I could upgrade my cpu from my early 2011 MBP. Was disappointed at first because the speed seemed comparable with my MBP but then I downloaded borderlands 2 and was instantly hooked. Handles multiple development processes simultaneously with ease. Haven’t edited images or video yet but I imagine that’s solid too, considering the overall efficiency.

This is my first iMac and it is replacing an old MacBook Pro. The machine is very sleek and streamlined like most of Apples computers today. Setup was a breeze as only a power cord needed to be hooked up to power it up, I add my WiFi password and and I was on my way to personalized setup. The included, rechargeable Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are awesome too; the keyboard is small and doesn’t take up a ton of space on the desk, but is plenty big for my hands to fit comfortably. The basic Mac software came pre-installed, such as the the iWork suite, GarageBand, etc. and there is more than enough memory and processing power to add more. I truly love Mac products and their ease of use, dependability and longevity.

I’ve been wanting an iMac for a while and this thing does not disappoint. It looks good, runs great, and it is super slim.

I could not ask for a more user friendly, and powerful computer. It does all i want and it is easy to use

I love this computer. It’s the easiest I’ve ever used. I’m so glad I went with an iMac. My iPhone links up with it and is hassle free operating.

First time iMac user, a longtime windows fan. I must say I'm impressed with the easy setup, well designed hardware but I wasn't happy to know that I have to re - do my home network to make this work seamlessly with some of my hardwares. Overall, I'm a happy camper, although it took me awhile to convince myself, if the price worth it? Well, up to you to find out.

I purchased this Sytem for my son & it is absolutely the best thing I could hv gotten him for a back to school gift. He loves it & it’s very reliable.. I love apple products....

I love this apple computer overall. The only complaint I have is that it is not as fast as I would like. It takes a while thinking before reacting.

I have to buy a separate cd drive as the computer does not have one.

I purchased this new iMac ten days ago. So far it is performing like I expected it to. This is my first Mac computer and it was very easy to set up. Still ironing out a few questions about the operating system and features, but that’s only because I’m not familiar with it yet. I had a 23” monitor before and I was nervous about going down to a 21.5”, but I can’t even tell the difference. The 27” screen is too large for my space. The mouse features are great and easy to use. The one thing I think I will upgrade to is a keyboard with the number keys. I didn’t think I would miss it, but I do. Going from a larger, traditional keyboard to a smaller, streamlined one is a transition but I really like it nonetheless. I have not tried all the features yet, but so far this computer is outperforming my PC tenfold!

I purchased this computer earlier this year to meet my needs for work and to also play online games. It has exceeded my expectations. It's still lightning fast, and it is wonderfully designed. The only downside to this model is it does not come with the full standard keyboard. I ended up having to purchase a separate keyboard, but it works perfectly fine with it anyways.

Love our new computer. The screen looks amazing and is so big and bright. The computer is easy to use, even when switching from PC. I don't regret not getting the retina screen. This computer is beautiful and quick.

First, I just want to point out that I have always been a PC owner/user. This was my first macOS purchase (Though, I have used iPhone for awhile now). I originally bought the mid-2017 4k 21'' iMac and that worked great, but for the extra five hundred dollars the 27'' was a better bang for my buck, so I exchanged it. (5k vs 4k, 27in vs 21.5 in., better graphics card, expandable RAM, etc. ) First Impressions: First, the screen. Holy cow, it's beautiful... I am spoiled now and can't ever go back to anything else. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Operations are very smooth. There are times when the computer will give me the beachball and freeze for 20 seconds, but that doesn't happen often. Very easy to customize properties and getting used to the macOS just took a few days. While what you get is a good deal for an apple product (2 things are certain, death and the apple tax) a PC at an equivalent price point would smoke the iMac as far as performance goes. Yes, I'm looking at you AMD Pro 5XX vs a GTX10XX. Last thing, the screen for this All-in-one looks dated because of the large black bezels. It's time for apple to start doing what it did to the iPhone with the iPhone X. Get rid of the bezels and you'll have one sexy computer. I have had apple products but never for business. I have always used PC for business but bought the macbook air last year and have used it for business during travel and have loved the reliability. Just recently my PC died and I thought why not switch to a new iMac. I am amazed by the ability of the processor , the design, the ease of use and the new 4K screen. I would recommend this to anyone I know.

My new iMac is fast and has tons of storage. I just upgraded from a 2011 and couldn't be happier. I would recommend it to anyone but especially other photographers, artists, and people that use heavy duty software such as photoshop or video editing programs! The screen resolution is amazing as well.
