As usual, the Apple Airport Express will allow you to create a new wireless network or expand a present network with minimum fuss and trouble. Whether your base wireless router is an Apple product or made by someone else, makes no difference. I used this one to replace a failed network extender and to add network access to a DirecTV DVR. The new Airport Express all but installed itself. From out of box to full operation took less than five minutes. I've come to rely on Airport Express and it's siblings to get my work done with a minimum of effort on my part.

I needed to extend the reach of my wifi network. Like most Apple products, this Airport Express was dead simple to install and setup. Performance is great. No complaints here.

Use it to hook a stereo to iTunes

I bought this Airport Express mainly to be able to send music wirelessly from iTunes on a Macbook and a PC laptop to a stereo system. The Airport has a mini-RCA port into which I plug an adapter cable to convert the signal to the normal stereo RCA required by my amplifier. The Airport Express is connected via ethernet cable to my main router, an Airport Extreme. The whole setup works great, I can play music from iTunes on either a Macbook or a PC laptop running Windows 8.1. Just select the external speakers using the name you've given to the Airport Express (there's a small box near the normal play/pause section at the top of the iTunes window). Can also control volume from iTunes.

Knowing the extremes Apple, Inc. goes to, this is once again one great product of Apple. I had a Linksys router, which almost cost my house to be in flames. The Linksys must have overheated and caught on fire - burning a hole in my cherry wood desk that has my 'Apple Collection' including vintage Macs. I would have died if anything would have happened to them. I saw online about this product and was persuaded to purchase it! It is so small, fits perfectly on my desk, and lastly became well fit in with my Apple Collection! The setup was quick and easy; Any old person could set it up! Great job again, Apple! :)

I got this to extend the range of my Airport Time Capsule Extreme Base Station. My signal downstairs was weak and bandwidth was slow. After being plugged in for a few minutes, I had a full signal at all my devices, and bandwidth speed was just as fast as the computer hard-lined into the base station. It was instantly recognized and automatically became part of my home network infrastructure. Truly a plug and play device. Absolutely no know-how needed.

I originally purchased the Airport Express back in 2006 when I first made the leap from PC to MAC when purchasing my very first laptop (MacBook Pro). I've never looked back except to think "I'm never going back to PC!" The only reason I bought this new Airport Express was because my new roommate was unable to login on any of her devices to my network and as a last ditch effort, I thought perhaps it was my router. Alas, she still wasn't able to connect so frankly, I think it was her lack of tech knowledge and my old Airport Express might actually still work just fine, but I like the updated security and support I get from Apple with this newer model so I kept it. Apple Airport Express base units offer easy setup, strong signal and consistent reliability. Apple products rock!

I work for a local copier company and we utilize the Airport Express to allow connectivity within a customers office to their printer/copier. The range is awesome, the ease of setup could not be any easier unless it came setup out of the box! The instructions are simple and easy to understand. I use them at home to allow all of my apple devices to connect wirelessly to the internet throughout my house. I own 2 of them at my house and we have approx. 20 of them at my job and will continue to utilize them. GREAT ITEM!!

Best thing I like about this workhorse is that it's integrated with Apple. Sonos is OK, but I'm very playlist driven, and this way I can select my own music and it's played directly from iTunes on my home computer -- so I can see which songs were played and adjust the playlist. Made me nuts with Sonos that I could play a playlist, but it'd be the same songs each time with me having no control. The AirPlay is easy to set up and has really had no problems

The airport express is easy to set up. It took about 5 minutes and was very straight forward. I have not had any issues with connectivity and the range has covered my two bedroom apartment without any dead spots.

We have tried extenders before and had nothing but issues. This extender was quick to install, easy to operate and gave us internet connection with 5 bars throughout our large, very wood-trimmed home. We initially tried another extender and kept getting kicked out of Netflix. We returned it and the Best Buy representative told me this was the one to use. He was right. Very impressed.

I set up this AirPort Express in bridge mode wired with Ethernet to my Tim Capsule router to extend wireless range in my home. Setup was easy, and both devices show up in their configurations in AirPort Utility App. Maintaining the devices is easy from this app. I configured both devices to broadcast the same SSID and encryption passwords and all my devices automatically find and connect to the strongest signal. This setup is amazing and I am completely satisfied with both units.

This was great for my son's dorm and was simple to set up. He loves the ability to airplay audio from his iPhone to the speakers we connected to the airport express. The unit is nice and small (which is great for dorms) and the range has been perfect. The app to manage the airport from the iPhone was easy to use and a nice addition.

I'm probably only using 1/4 of what this router can do as I'm using it to extend the range of my wireless network. I live in an old house and there are some dead spots in the house. Connecting this to my Apple Time Capsule was something a 2 year old could do, it's that easy! No offense to two year olds, or parents/grandparents of them either :) Great price, great range, painless setup, small footprint. Love it!

The Express is simple to use. It's basically on autopilot and then you're connected (if it's your only device to make your internet connection wireless). But, the best thing about the Express is its real ability to extend the range of your network, rather than just claim to on the box labels like many other "extenders" seem to do. It's ability to take your speakers off their wire is just an added bonus, but one you'll use constantly.

This is one of my favorite router. Fast, easy to set up, reliable router. The price could be lower yet this is a great device. Since it is so small compared to other company router, you can bring this router anywhere you want. I take this to my work place and create my own network.

This product is great ,it's small and doesn't take up space, fast connection speeds and great range . Easy to set up especially using IPad,IPhone etc. Lacks additional ports but I haven't found a problem running 6-7 things on Wi-fi so it doesn't cause a problem . Great Product

I added this as a 2nd Airport Express to my extend my wireless network and add a speaker to my garage. I use the Airport Extreme as my main wireless access point, attached to custom router PC. I chose the Airport Express mainly because it's reliable. I have an older model that has lasted for 2+ years (in another part of the house). It's also very easy to set up, even did that via my phone.

I've found the Time Capsule and Airport Express to be a very simple way to set up and maintain a home network. In addition the ability to plug speakers directly into the Express makes it an easy way to set up multiple locations in the house for us to send our audio directly from our mobile devices. I did have some issues with my network due to interference from the many networks in my area already set up, but Apple Support was very helpful in walking me through how to diagnosis that as the problem and change my settings to deal with it.
