Having both a Mac Book Air and an IPhone I went for the trifecta and recently purchased a mini IPad wireless with 32 gig. I stress this last point because if you are viewing or downloading movies minimum would be 32 but I now wish I had done 64. That being said the mini is a great traveler that you can easily store, good battery life and a nice clear crisp display. Doing productive work or for plain entertainment the Apple Mini IPad is a terrific investment.

I actually bought 3 of these, one for each one of my kids. I have a 4, a 3, and a 2 year old and they all love it. I plan to buy my soon to be 1 year old one for her bday.

I bought this tablet for my wife and she loves it. Its big enough so she can use it to browse the web, but small enough to fit in her purse. She found it easy to use from the start. The only problem that she found with it was some of the apps that she downloaded didn't work as good or as fast as she wanted them to work. But she is happy with it and I am happy with the purchase. I will probably get one for my self, probably an ipad air.

I bought the IPad mini because of its size and display. I get my e-mails and internet and have access to all my apps. This is a must have.

I like the compact size, quality photos, ability to do many things all on one device.

I had a regular size apple air IPad and loved it, but my husband was using that one all the time, so I decided to get the mini I pad and I love it.

I feel the iPad Mini 2 with Wi-Fi - 32GB, Is the perfect size as a tablet computer for me. I've used larger units and other brands, but the mini hits a sweet spot. It's easy to travel with or just use at home when needed. The screen, with the Retina display is extremely sharp and even small objects or type are easy to see. Apps work and display very well on the mini also. It is never slow and is solid and well built. The memory available is quite enough and the processor keeps up with anything and everything it's asked to do. Battery life is very good. And the price is lower than a larger unit. I consider the iPad mini the ideal tablet, filling the gap between a laptop and iPhone. It's Just Right!

Wow. This thing is amazing. I was skeptic about getting an ipad compared to a windows pc tablet because I like the fact of a windows pc in a tablet form. And I am happy I included this one in my recent purchase. I ended up buying both to compare. I would consider this my daily driver for a tablet. The size is great and the weight is even better. It doesn't start to feel like a strain on weight holding for a long period of time. Even the screen size doesn't bother me. It’s perfect really. Not to small, not too big. I actually like carrying this around too. With my personal cloud at home for my pictures and media and the MS office apps in the apps store it’s like I have my big laptop with me everywhere I go. The battery life is insane. Maybe it’s just the fact that is brand new but this thing won’t move away from 100% charge for a long time (with the Wi-Fi antenna turned off, dimmed screen down to 70%). Took off the charger Sunday at 5:30pm. Thursday afternoon battery at 68%. During that time I did some online shopping for a couple hours ever and school work. Even the apps on it feel quick to response and switching in between.

I want to start by addressing some of the things that I have read in other reviews. There are plenty of apps in the Apple store and generally the quality and visuals of apps on iOS are much better than the Android counterparts. I have played several games on this device and they look absolutely stunning on the retina display! Some games that I enjoy in particular are NBA2K14,Real Racing 3,FIFA 14,Infinity Blade III and Need for Speed Most Wanted. Now I have also played these games on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 10.1 2014 Edition and they looked great on that device but to me they looked slightly better on the retina display. On a side note when you have a smaller display with the same resolution as a larger display the smaller one will look better because the pixel density is higher(more pixels per inch). As far as price this device is worth every penny. While this device is generally priced higher than its Android counterparts the two devices are different and they each do things well in their own rights! A few people complain that Apple does not allow skinning of the UI or widgets! IOS does not need that Apple designed a beautiful clean UI out the box it's design is not cluttered and it runs smooth ! I have not experienced any lag when multi tasking or gaming on this device! I would kind of compare IOS UI to the pure Android experience that Google provides on the Nexus 7! Widgets and skins also cause lag and slows the device down. This is why I am not a fan of the custom UI's that many manufacturer's layer on top of the Android interface in their devices.Now with that being said back to my review. The iPad Mini actually has two speakers located on the bottom of the device not one! There is one speaker on each side of the lightning connector! These speakers actually has good quality for being on a small device. No they do not sound like a home theater system with Dolby Surround Sound but they work well with the form factor of this device! The retina display is a welcome addition to this device and is a very nice step of from the original iPad Mini! The visual and graphic quality of games,videos and photos are absolutely stunning! The processor is very fast and despite having 1GB of RAM this device is very responsive and performs very well. Overall I am very happy with the iPad Mini with Retina Display and would recommend this to anyone whose budget would allow them to afford this device! I also recommend the OtterBox Defender case for this device to ensure your investment is fully protected!

The iPad mini 2 is a great tablet. The camera is nice, as is the display. Honestly I have no complaints, it does everything I need it to do. It works well with my Macbook, and it has a nice long battery life. The size is also much more comfortable than the regular size one. Overall a good purchase.

My wife loves it, and it is just the right size between her iphone 6 and my larger ipad 2. Lightweight, easier to hold for longer amounts of time. The mini is plenty fast and has decent storage. I may buy one for myself.

I decided to upgrade my iPad mini first generation 16GB and bought an iPad mini 2 Wifi 32GB during Thanksgiving from bestbuy. This tablet is worth it's price for the performance and quality it is providing. Pros: 1) A great retina display screen 2) Much faster performance compared to my previous iPad mini 1st Gen, with the upgraded processor. 3) Better price compared to iPad mini3. In my research, the only difference between this iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3 is the finger print scanner, which in my opinion most ordinary users won't need(especially for such a huge price difference). Cons: Apple should provide 'real' multi-tasking options, which is available in competitive tablets in this category. I would recommend this product to my friends.

I have been using an iPad 2 that my school district provided teachers and students in limited quantities for about 2 years now. During that time I purchased an iPad 3rd generation for my wife. I prefer a smaller device and was happy to see the Mini hit store shelves last year, but wanted the crisper display so I waited. I am vey glad I did. I have been using Apple products for several years now - iPods, iPhones, and now iPads - and have built up a fairly large iTunes collection of apps, music and videos, so going with the iPad Mini was an easy choice for me. I purchased the 32 GB version to ensure I would have additional storage for videos to watch during trips. I am still learning how to use the productivity apps that interface with Microsoft Office and incorporating the Mini more into what I do with students. The user interface on the Mini is easy to use and navigate and there is plenty of screen real estate for reading books and e-mails easily. The only drawback for some might be the price, but for me the ease of use and the ability to access and use my iTunes library compensates for that.

Thank you BestBuy for making this so affordable! I needed a screen that was a little larger than my IPOD (as my eyes are getting older) and wanted an IPAD Mini rather than the full sized IPAD but I also didn't want to pay the price for the latest & greatest 2014-2015 version. I received an offer from BestBuy in my email, saw the price and I bought it right away. I picked it up from the local store within 2 hours and we've been inseparable. This IPAD Mini2 is wonderful, I am always using it and cannot live without it.

I gave this mini to my fiance, and he simply loves it! Easy to use, hold and works with all of the apple products in the house. Holds a charge for a long time, and its light and fast.

Big pluses - great screen, long battery life, easy to use, plenty of space to store iTunes, loads of free apps, perfect size,lightening fast and down right fun.

I simply love my ipad mini with retina! I'm glad I got the one with retina because that makes a huge difference! It feels and works so much better when your screen is that much clearer! Besides that, the speed is amazingly fast! With all the apps available, you can do so many things on one single device! It allows me to do almost all the things I want to do with a computer, so it fits my lifestyle so well, not to mention its small yet practical size and light weight!

After getting my first iPad mini 2 for myself, I went back to get another one for my girlfriend (so I wouldn't have to share.) The portability is perfect at this size. Quick and snappy tablet, and iOS 8 extensions have added some much needed customization to all iDevices. Make sure you get enough storage for what you use but you won't be disappointed coming from any other older, or smaller tablet. And with the release of the iPad mini 3, the mini 2 has become just a great value. P.S. not just an apple fan boy, I use all OS platforms across multiple devices and brands.
