    Coming from Android

Unboxing: nothing special here the box contains the phone, a charger, sim removal tool, charging cable, wired headphones. Set up: Coming from a Flagship Android device I thought it would be a very tough task to transfer data from my Android to this Iphone SE second edition. I was wrong! once I started the iphone it asked me if I want to get my data from another device and gave me the option of transfer from Android. asked me to download an app called MOVE TO IOS. I downloaded the app and then followed the instructions and the transfer started wirelessly and took about an hour or so. I restarted the phone, created an Apple ID, added my fingerprint, and went about to install my apps and import my Google accounts, and downloaded the latest IOS updates. Restarted the phone again and started using the phone. Experience: The phone is very snappy and fast, although you will notice some tracing while scrolling menus due to the lower refresh rate but the phone performs very very well and I can say that with this price point, nothing can beat this hardware and software Experience: The IPhone SE 2 has the latest A13 Bionec Chip, an OK screen size and quality, and a very nice camera compared to other phones in this price range. Build Quality and design: The build quality is solid. it took me less than 3 hours to drop the phone from the table on hardwood floor flat on its screen. I thought the screen was shattered. I was wrong again. the design is very similar to the IPhone 8 with its rounded edges and the silver frame with a glass front and back. although when tapping on the screen with my finger nails, it feels more plastic than glass compared to my other phones. the power button is located on the right side, and the volume rockers are located on the left side. this phone does not have stereo jack and instead uses a lightning port (Thanks Apple!), and dual stereo speakers at the button of the phone. this phone still has a physical button on the left side above the volume rockers to switch to silent mode if you want to. and the sim card slot is located on the right side under the power button. the finger print touch is located in the center of the screen at the buttom. the phone has a double chin that measures about a half inch at the top and buttom. and the screen size is 4.7 inches (usable but would love bigger one for sure). The phone is perfectly balanced and feels good in your hand even if you have a smaller hand. it doesn't feel lightweight and cheap but it doesnt feel and look like a flagship either. the frame of the phone is made of metal. the camera has a slight bump, and has a single camera on the back with a sensor and a flash. the camera app has Portrait, panoramic, slowmo, time- lapse, video, photo out of the box. you can change the quality and size of the photos and videos and you can record videos of up to 4K with 60 frames per seconds which will cost you a hefty 400MG per minute of recording. after setting up and importing the necessities from my other phone I was left with less than 20 GB of the 64GB this phone comes with. not much considering i am just done with setup and havent actually used the phone yet. but you can always upgrade to the 128 GB version of this phone. Battery life: after using the phone with everything on out of the box I was able to get about 9 hours of continuous use and wast still left with 37% battery life. not bad considering that the phone has wireless charging capability and comes with a fast charging cable (but not a fast charger!). Sound quality: the sound quality of this phone is OK, not great but its just good. the same goes for the included wired headphones. you can use them for sure, but we all know you are going to upgrade to those nice wireless pro's. final thoughts: The IPhone SE 2 is a great cheap smart phone in the $400 range for any IOS or Android user. the A13 Bionec chip is the latest and fastest IOS chip to date, its the same chip used in the flagship Iphone today. the smaller screen with the less refresh rate and the older looking design are not deal breakers considering you are getting the same flawless experience from Apple. I switched from Android to Apple for a few reasons: 1- there are apps I need for work that are not available for Android (these are custom made Apps that I need in my day to day work) 2- Security features: although Android has great customization capabilities, but security is still and issue. Apple is superior when it comes to protecting your privacy and security. 3- Some gimmick features that I see everyone around me love and use like Facetime, and impressions in Imessage. finally, I would totally recommend this phone for anyone who wants to buy an affordable phone with great features and support that will last at least 3 years from Apple. this phone is also a great entry to IOS for anyone coming from Android family. Last point: if you are an Android user and want to make the switch but afraid that your most valuable apps wont work, rest assured that everything from Google is available on the apple store even Google Authenticator. if you are missing some of Apple features with Android, you can make this leap of faith and will be happy with this purchase.

Is Unlocked truly Factory Unlocked or Not?

I brought 64GB iPhone SE 2020 red color from BestBuy and its model number is MX9M2LL/A but came loaded with Verizon sim card in it. Why did it come with it when It's Unlocked? It shouldn't come with one at all if its Factory Unlocked. Please BestBuy you need to state if this iPhone SE 2020 model is true "Factory Unlocked" or "Carrier Unlocked" or "Network Unlocked" one of the three Unlocked and "not simply" "Unlocked" <- its confusing buyers like myself when we pick are Carrier to activate it later with them. Overall I love this iPhone SE 2020 very much, setting it up was super easy especially moving from iPhone 5C to this was a great upgrade for myself. I needed a long upgrade, iOS 13 runs so fast, apps open quickly, sign-in between accounts are faster when you have info save on the iPhone. The camera is great for taking pictures and video recording my stuff for videos on social platforms, of course, you need Lights at nighttime since this phone lack nighttime mode. 3 GB of LPDDR4X RAM allows me to have many apps open which is great to have also 64GB storage helps me out a lot too since I needed more than 8GB my old iPhone 5C had.

Terrific upgrade from the iPhone 7

I took advantage of some BB reward points, and purchased an open box SE2. It was in like new condition, and quickly was operational due to the smooth transfer process Apple has by putting your prior phone next to the new one to activate. For basic needs (phone calls, texts, etc) the upgrade really does not seem any different than the 7. While there are noticeable improvements in opening up apps and web pages seem faster, since it uses the A13 processor, I doubt I would have upgraded the phone without the reward points, as I don't play games or use any apps that are heavily graphics oriented on the phone. It also takes the iPhone 7 or 8 cases, so that was easy enough to put on the new phone. I thought of purchasing the iPhone 11, but the model 12 is rumored to have 5G support, so I hold off on getting a larger iPhone until 5G is actually a useable reality for Verizon in our area. I don't use the phone for serious pics (have a full frame Canon mirrorless for that use). It takes decent snaps though. I am attaching a couple of shots to this review. I also added a comparison shot of the SE2 next to the iPod Touch 1G, which is typical Apple, still running strong.

I ordered this phone for my niece who was in the USA for the holidays (originally from Guyana). We had some delays with delivery. She got the phone just in time before returning home. I never saw the item but this is her feedback when asked if there was any defaults with the phone she replied “ No no it’s ok I love it”. The most beautiful experience was that she waited until we FaceTime m, so I can see her opened her gift PRICELESS moment. It made my holidays.

It was a very nice phone and lasted me almost five years before I finally broke it. I liked the size, because I could easily slip it in my pocket. One thing I did not like was how slick and slippery the case was. I was constantly dropping it, or it would slide off and fall on the floor. Buy a protective case for it.

I bought this phone because i always wanted to try the ios ecosystem but never really did because the phones were so expensive. Then this phone came along & at $399, im impressed. The fact that this Phone has the A13 Bionic chip, the SAME chip as the iphone 11 pro max, a $1000+ Phone, is insane. This phone also has wireless charging & water resistance which many phones at this price don’t have. Now I see that the main concern for buying this phone is the battery life. It really all comes down do what kind of user you are. I mainly use this phone for messaging, social media, youtube, web searching & this phone easily lasts me a day. Now if you’re an intense user who uses their phone for mostly gaming and such, then the battery life will drain pretty quickly. Other then that for a normal user, this phone’s battery isn’t bad. Overall for the price, this phone is insanely good & I recommend it to anyone. Camera is really good as well! A quick tip though: this phone does not have night mode on it’s camera but you can download an app called “neuralcam” in the app store. It’s $3 but the photos that come out through this phone at night with this app, is amazing ;) it’s worth it for anyone who takes pictures at dim light .

You can no longer call Android the value king. While I wish the battery would last a full day under moderate to heavy use I cant get over the speed and value this new SE provides! I use it for work and my Samsung S20 for play but I never feel I'm missing a beat with the SE! Best $399 or less smart phone in years!

    My experiences with the SE-2.

I've had eight android phones over the past six years, as I am a heavy user and I wear phones out within a minimum of six months and max of two years. I always find flaws with my android phones within a month or two. mainly software issues... and my androids usually die or become unusable by the end of year two, I've had four Samsung's, two LG's, and two Motorola's and they've all shown issues by at least month two. since I've had my iPhone SE-2 it has been fantastic! I've had it since early September... its now mid-November, and it still runs like it did out of the box! when my android would've shown some software qwerks by now, my iPhone has been perfect! in my humble opinion if you need a high quality phone that lasts longer than two years get a iPhone! I don't want this to sound like a sales pitch, but its truly a great phone! I used a friend's iPhone 6s plus (while I was waiting for a new phone) and it worked better than my (then semi-new) Galaxy s9 which had probably 8 months of wear on it! when the iPhone was nearly five years old!! In the end I feel the iPhone has the advantage with longevity and software performance.

I switched from my old Samsung to this iPhone out of curiosity, and I wholly do not regret it. First of all, the Touch ID works incredibly well and instantaneously. Simply resting your thumb or finger on the Home button (which isn’t a button at all, but works satisfyingly well) unlocks your phone right away with hardly any delay. I’ve already experienced this feature on my iPad, but having it on my phone is so much better because I use it for so much more. Because of it, I can get to my messages, phone, music, etc. much faster than having to put in my PIN every time. The display is bright and colorful as well. The resolution is technically low, but it looks crystal-clear when you hold it in your hand. Everything from movies to photos look nice on the display. Speaking of photos, the camera on this iPhone is not bad at all. It might not be as good or have as many features as the cameras on more expensive models like the iPhone 12, but if you’re not interested in those fancy features, the camera on the iPhone SE will work for you. And it’s still better than my old Samsung, so it’s a complete upgrade for me. The connection I get between my iPhone and other Apple devices is jaw-dropping. When I use a pair of AirPods Pro, it instantly connects the moment I put them into my ear. I can see my photos and messages from my phone on my iPad as well. And though I plug in my iPhone to my PC for iTunes, I still get that sense of hassle-free connectivity. The feeling of uniformity and seamless connection is great and works wonders. All in all, if you have been wanting to switch to an iPhone or want to try it for the first time, this is a great place to start. It’s also a great deal too!

I had just seen my brother's iPhone 7 and fell in love with the "Live" photos. Thought I might upgrade my 6S, then it was stolen the next day. I did lots of research on my choices and was considering a 7, 7 Plus, 8 or 8 Plus. But everyone said to go straight to the SE and they were so right. Not much price difference and lots more support and features. I'm mostly interested in the camera and that difference is incredible. I do Facebook Lives and I can see the difference in how I look on camera immediately. Great skin tones (and my skin needs it). I can't stop looking at myself (lol)! And Portrait Mode (on front and rear camera) give depth of field (meaning it fuzzes out everything in the background). Nice feature without having to have an SLR camera. Amazing for $400 - and I got an Unlocked Open Box, which is what I needed to get on Mint Mobile. It was only $20 off, but since I didn't have a phone to trade in, I'll take any discount I can get. I would have chosen red, but was fine with the fact it's black. I loved one review I read here that said it was nice of Apple to give us a COVID- priced option. It came out in April of 2020 when money was low. I appreciate them thinking of us. Never thought I could own a current iPhone.

It’s an iPhone, so everything just operates smoothly, build quality is premium as always with Apple of course. It’s the last iPhone created with a home button for all you lovers of nostalgia out there. It’s essentially an iPhone 8 body with iPhone 11 PRO power inside so it’s much better than iPhone 8. Takes great photos and seems to work with Mag safe accessories. I really wanted an iPhone 12 mini in Blue but so does everyone else, well not everyone but enough people to make them unavailable in store. If your new to iPhone or are thinking about making the switch don’t be turned away because of iOS, seriously just don’t. iOS is actually much more user friendly than android is and you’ll come to know that if you just try. All in all I’m very pleased to have an iPhone once again,

I bought this phone because I had a screen issue on my iPhone X and needed to send my X to Apple to get repaired. I was in full panic mode trying to figure out what I was going to do. Almost every option had me buying another phone and having a different number, then notifying everyone that I had a different phone number temporary. I use my phone for both personal and work use. When I found the unlocked iPhone SE on Best Buy it was a blessing! After much research I found I could take my SIM card from my iPhone X and put it in the unlocked SE and still have my same phone number and apps. This got me through the period when I sent my X to be repaired by Apple. I did have to edit what was transferred from a recent backup as my X is 256 GB and the SE was only 64 GB. The iPhone SE is very robust with the latest processor that Apple has. The battery life is lacking though. Having this phone for around a month, I've had to charge it once every two days, and sometimes every day compared to my X, which was maybe once a week. Other than the memory and the battery life, the SE is a keeper. Now that I have my iPhone X back from repair I'm going to tuck this away until I need it again, like the spare tire I have on my Jeep

I bought this phone for my 6 yr old daughter and it was perfect! The size is just right for her small hands. It is easy to use and perfect for younger kids and the price is affordable. I was not going to pay over a 1,000 dollars for a phone for a year old.

For $399, this phone is unbeatably priced. I dropped my Pixel 2, which I loved, into a tank of whiskey and it eventually gave up on this life. I wanted something small and reasonably priced and the SE is perfect. The brand new operating system is the same as in the 11 Pro and Pro Max so it’s very fast, snappy, and the screen is beautiful. The setup was easy. I’ve never setup ban unlocked phone before and I was finished in less than 10min. Just swap the SIM card with the included tool (or spend 30min searching your house for something small enough to use) and you’re good to go. All of my contacts downloaded straight from the google cloud so going from android to apple was not difficult. My two main complaints about this phone are the camera quality and the screen size. I know it sounds weird to complain about screen size when I wanted a small phone, but the SE kept the overlarge black bezels on the top and bottom of the screen, which takes up space that could’ve easily been covered by more screen. The camera works fine and it has all the modes like panorama, slow motion, and portrait but it’s just nowhere close to the Pixels or the 11 Pro and Pro Max. That being said, unless the camera quality is vital to you, it works just fine for the occasional selfie, food picture, or sunset. I quickly stopped caring about the lack of camera quality in the face of the value.

I am truly in love with this phone. I had the iPhone 6s still as I could never bring myself to spend the amount of money apple wants for their phones. Friend of mine told me about this so I looked into it more and decided it was the best deal! I’m not one for big phones so I loved that is was pretty much the same size as my 6s but had the brains of the iPhone 11 which mean not worrying about it phasing out and not working anytime soon. So glad I decided to buy it and I appreciate even more that apple decided they needed to release a “non-expensive” phone during the pandemic crisis.
