This was an X-mas giift for my son. He as fallen in love with this IPOD. He is never with out it. He takes it to work, listens to it in the car, and is on it until he goes to bed. Best gift I could have ever give him.

I like to use my iPod while I'm working out at the gym, which I do almost every day. The music on my playlists keeps me motivated and moving, so it's important to have a player that can hold lots of data, but is also easy to use. For a long time, I used my terrific iPod classic, and that worked great. But I decided that every now and then I might like to watch a movie or video while on the treadmill, so I looked into the new iPod Touch, which has a nice screen size, almost the size of the unit itself. It took awhile to get used to some of the motion controls on the Touch, but I have loaded all my favorite playlists and a few movies and I am good to go. Yesterday I started watching the first "Star Wars" release and it was awesome. Great image and great sound. Plus, I can get my email and check the weather any time I want, thanks to the iPod Touch's ability to synch with wifi. Nice technology.

Glad I finally upgraded to the 5th Gen

Over the years I have had several MP3 players: 3 different second to third gen iPod mini's, a second gen iPod touch which was my main unit up until I purchased this fifth gen unit, and a slew of generic brand MP3's from makers like Coby. Most of the players I get are for work and are considered throw-away units, but for my personal I want something that is reliable and wont just stop working on me for no reason. My second gen iPod touch still works great, as do all of my iPod minis but I have been at the maximum storage for a long time now, and like having all my music in one collection so I finally broke down and bought myself a new 64GB model and have been loving it. Aside from having a lot of apps I don't use I am pleased with the features as well as the stand by and run time. I play a few games here and there and notice that they are much faster and more responsive. Overall I should have upgraded a long time ago, and am happy with my purchase. On a side note, I dropped the iPod yesterday and it come away without a scratch on it. Faring better than my phone from a similar height (sitting) on a harder surface (linoleum for the iPod, a floor mat for the phone).

This is my 3rd iPod. Each model gets better and better! I have over 1000 songs, tons of pictures and video and with 64GB have room for 1000's more! I love the new 5 megapixel camera. I've gotten some awesome pics and videos of our recent trip to northern California redwood country. With this much memory I don't fear running out of room. It is always a joy to seamlessly update to iPhoto on my iMac desktop. No problems with iOS7 and is so easy to update with iTunes. I don't have an iPhone (yet!) and I understand that this WiFi only but, occasionally I wish I could send pics to friends and family. I think 64GB would be a better choice if someone intends to take a lot of pictures/video.

iPod touch 5th gen is great for music and Apps. Lots of improvements from 4th gen including bigger screen, faster processing and download speeds. One thing Apple needs to work on is Price and being user friendly, if I had not already used an iPod before there would be a lot of things to learn and get used to.

Lots of space, easy to operate. If you're familiar wit the iphone it's basically an iPhone minus phone calls and data. Only complaint is that it's super light and small.

The iPod touch 64GB MP3 player (5th Generation) is the best iPod for me as a runner. I run 60 miles a week and this iPod keeps the music I listen to fresh. My last iPod was a classic 160GB and it was heavy.

Nice Upgrade from iPod Touch 4th Gen

This was a replacement for my 4 year old iPod Touch 4th gen, whose battery was down to about 40% capacity. The display is excellent, a nice improvement in viewing angle over the old Touch and the 20% larger screen is nice. I found the changes from iOS 6 to iOS 8 were mostly improvements. The iOS 8 screens have less "eye candy" than the iOS 6 screens, similar to the way Windows 8 dropped Windows 7's "Aero" displays. IMHO this is good for a portable device as it should need less graphics horsepower = longer battery life. I like the changes to the Calendar app, it is much easier to jump years at a time, which I sometimes want to do and scrolling a month at a time is tedious. My one complaint is the same complaint I have for the older Touch -- the non-user-replaceable battery. That seems to be the way of the future from many vendors... :-(

I previously owned a 32gig 4th generation iPod. This was purchased to update my device to the latest OS and also have more memory. The display is crystal clear and the processor is faster. I use an Android for my phone, but I find the itunes to work best for me with my music library. I was waiting for the 6th generation iPod to come out, but who knows when that will come out, and whether it will be worth the wait. This is definitely an upgrade from my 4th generation device.

Photo quality much better than previous model, 64GB great for a big music library especially if you travel and don't have access to wifi and iTunes match all the time. Love the display size, AirDrop and camera timer! The downside: some pre-installed apps (I don't use FaceTime, Game Center, messages etc.) can not be deleted and use up memory you pay for. I still don't like the new icon for iBooks but it can't be changed. BestBuy downside: asked sales rep. about Whatsapp, was given information it works on iPod 5 - it doesn't! If you buy open box item online: beware! Mine was supposed to be Geek squad certified & in excellent condition. The reality: it had dark smudges (like handled with dirty hands) and some (small) scratches on the back. No big deal but a little bit disappointing. Also (iCloud and computer) back-up stopped working after a few weeks. Went to get it fixed, could not get it done on the first appointment. Basically had to reset the iPod.

I got the 64g model to replace my 32g which I had full of songs. I am happy as long as it worked as well as my original. The new generation is faster and has more features (most of which I have not explored). I don't use the apps or camera. I only use this model for the music storage. Being of a sleeker size, the case along with usb cord are different sizes and not compatable from the old generation to the new generation. Love it thus far.

I absolutely love my iPod! I had the forth generation iPod and I loved it at first but I dropped it on carpet and the screen shattered and after I got it fixed it never worked the same as it did before. It wouldn't connect to internet or connect using bluetooth. My other problem with my old one was it was an 8gb, I didn't have much room for my music. A few months ago I decided to get this one and I LOVE it. It has plenty of space, and I bought Geek Squad Protection on it too!

I purchased this iPod after my last one got stolen after many years of faithful service. Being able to run the most recent apps is nice, and the new one has a nicer look and better form factor as well, except for the camera (which I find utterly irrelevant on a music player). It still has all the stupid junk on it that Apple always tries to push on people (Cover flow, for example), but the new abilities are great. I can park my car in front of my house, and it will automatically sync with my music library without having to unplug it, take it inside, plug it in, and sync. I dislike how they changed their cable format, but it still works fine with devices that control iPods through USB. Overall, it's a pretty good job.

    Replacement for old iPod Touch

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas - he wanted the iPod Classic but it was around the time they stopped making them. He had the first iPod Touch that came out so it was not much of a change. The 64 GB obviously holds a lot of music and its super easy to upload new songs/movies. However it's super thin and slippery so I bought a case with slip-resistant grips on the side and now it's perfect.

I accidentally washed my old 4th generation iPod. Oops. I ordered the new 5th generation to replace it. All my music and videos transferred to the new one, seamlessly. I like the slightly larger size, I like that it has a flash for the camera. Still great mp3 player. The only negatives I have to say about it is Apple does not include a manual and they changed the way you close an app. The biggest drawback to me was changing to the 'lightning' plug. My dock for my stereo and my portable Bose are no longer functional. The manufacturer of the dock does not have one to support the 5th generation and I highly doubt Bose does either. If Apple had to have an oddball connector (vs USB) they should NOT change to ANOTHER oddball connector.

Got this iPod for my mom after purchasing one for myself. She loves and takes it everywhere she goes since she doesn't have a smartphone. She likes to watch movies on it and play games and 64 gigs is plenty of storage for such a small device. She also loves the camera and uses it as her main shooter.
