Being a fan of Apple products, I wanted a lightweight laptop to use while my wife watched TV, so I went right to the newest MacBook Air. After two weeks I am totally satisfied with this product. The MacBook Air works perfectly with my iPhone, Apple Watch, and old Mac when it comes to making changes in calenders, and contacts. The fingerprint ID is nice, but to my surprise my Apple Watch started unlocking the new laptop. How cool is that? Now when I am not writing on it, researching with it, checking my e-mails, etc, etc, etc., I can use it to watch live TV by signing onto my account at Xfinity.com. This baby is not only lightweight, but also produces almost no heat. The speakers are really good for a little laptop. The earphone jack is a 3.5mm which at first seems like a step back by Apple, but the 3.5mm connection actually allows greater flexibility than a lightning connection would. Charging time is short and I've been able to work all day without the need for an additional charge. No negatives on this review except the cost, but most people who consider buying Apple, know the extra expense is well worth it because of the design, functionality, and dependability, of Apples products.

I bought this to replace an aging 12" MacBook, which I bought as the perfect compromise between a tablet and a laptop. The Air has many of the good qualities of the slim MacBook (portability (amazingly thin), good battery life and an excellent screen, but amps everything up enough (ie, keyboard, screen size, speed etc.) to make this a daily-use computer. I honestly can't think of even the slightest shortcoming. Some will complain about the keys (which are noisy and, with extended use, prone to failure), but I have had no issues with them at all.

I am fairly new to using a mac and I have a little older model for work. This mac has really easy to use keyboard compared to my older model. It's lighter and seems thinner. It's fast, works for everything that I need which is probably a little more than an average user. It has the newer USB-C ports. I've connected a Bluetooth monitor and keyboard as well as a monitor via HDMI cable. It's also super easy to use. Have had zero issues. I will most likely stick with mac.

Pros: This is my first Apple computer and it’s great : very fast, pretty light, and I actually like the butterfly keys ( makes for a faster typing experience . Cons: More expensive than the competition but you can generally get a great deal if you shop around and GET PRICE MATCH(Saved $200 on the 256SSD by checking Amazon first!) and the webcam: bad quality for “HD Camara” looks like it’s from 2012. Overall a 7.5/10 laptop for Apple users who want a portable mac with great performance(web browsing, Netflix, iTunes, etc)and a decent battery life

This is my first ever mac. I've had lots of pc's in the past and I can't believe how fast, smooth, comfortable the new macbook air is. It is very portable, easy to pack/carry and lightweight. It boots up in seconds, compared to the several minutes it takes my pc to boot. The retina screen is super crisp - great for photo editing and viewing. The keys are perfectly placed and weighted. It may sound weird to say, but I actually make fewer typing errors on this keyboard. Trackpad is large and intuitive. Performance is fast and smooth.

The new MacBook Air is a very capable improvement over the previous generation. I personally came from a 2013 MacBook Pro and was a bit concerned that even though it was a newer device, that performance would suffer. I couldn’t be more wrong. The screen is excellent, on par or better than I had previously. I also LOVE the new key mechanism on the keyboard. Very nice to type on. And the performance has been a tick up from the MacBook Pro I came from. And lastly, the added TouchID is a very welcome addition. I hate typing in passwords! The only downside, which I understand, is the lack of ports. This has just two USB-C ports on the left side. It’s required me to buy a few new cables, but hopefully I’m covered for a long while now as I slowly convert to the new USB standard.

I have always wanted a Mac but wasn’t able to make that happen. But now that I do have one I am enjoying it fully the Mac runs smooth and it’s easy to navigate there are no surprises so far. I love it! it’s so easy to work with and I can start projects of pictures & videos right away and the ability to work on these projects is so much easier because of the Mac program that is comes with already. This model is also light and love the dark silver gray option in color. Very satisfied customer

No one makes computers better than Apple. This computer is fast with a great display, excellent keyboard, precise touchpad, and a fabulous display. It also comes loaded with all the software you need for home or business. Moreover, it is extremely light and has a 10 hour battery life. My data from my 5 year old MacAir, that I gave to charity, transferred seamlessly from the cloud. If you are looking for a great computer look no further. This is is it.

Being a longtime windows guy and having used iPhone and iPad for years, this laptop took, and is taking, a period of adjustment, but that is on me not the laptop. I needed a laptop for school and this one has the weight, battery life, storage capability, and integratability with my other devices that I was looking for, I could have given it a star less due to the usb-c ports, but having purchased all necessary cables I can’t see a reason to lower my rating.

This laptop is perfect for me. I’m a light user. I surf the net, make purchases, listen to music, make lists, tackle a doc every now and then. I bought it because I do everything on my iPhone and wanted a larger screen. I wanted a laptop over an iPad. The rose gold case is gorgeous. I put the new dark layout setting on that’s less stress on the eyes. I put on one of the new Apple wallpapers. Setup my Apple Watch to unlock the screen - love that feature. It’s got Touch ID to make purchases. I setup my apps in a hot minute and was in business asap. It’s super skinny, light and intuitive. The only thing I’m preparing for is, similar to iPhone, there’s only one input type. I’ll be investing in adapters or looking for media / apps / cloud space that doesn’t require external solutions to get things done. In the few weeks of ownership so far, it hasn’t been an issue. In sum, I love this laptop and strongly recommend it if you’re a user like me.

I fell in love with mine that I got for another apple lover and she is so happy about it! Perfect size for for backpacks and even my purses. Super light and easy to learn! I never had an apple computer and was nervous changing from a Windows but it was easier to get use to and only took two of using to even know intricate system settings that I couldn't fin on any windows computers. I am a student and work from home for businesses social media sites - more than enough storage and ability for me to do online school and also create graphic and utilize apps and graphic creating programs to be successful. The personalization is endless and the best part about any apple product ... APPLE CARE IS WORTH IT EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE IT AND APPLE'S WEBSITE PROVIDES EVERY BIT OF SUPPORT YOU NEED AS WELL AS INFORMATION ON PRODUCTS THAT I NOW FEEL LIKE A PROFESSION IT WORKER. It is a great feeling fixing or answering my own questions about anything i don't know but apple care provides so much additional support that I can fall back on that if I need to . I have never had to use it but still would never pass up apple care on any product.

Coming from a 2010 MacBook Pro, this MacBook Air meets all my current needs. My previous computer lasted me ten years strong and it was finally showing its age. This MacBook Air definitely brought me into the modern design era, and absolutely love it. Works amazingly well within the Apple ecosystem, and couldn’t be happier with the features. I’m sure this MacBook Air will last me another ten years. The USB-C only ports is not an issue with me as I no longer need to do anything intensive. I work strictly in the cloud so it’s perfect. Lightweight, modern, well-built, and functional. Can’t go wrong.

This is the MacBook Air that we’ve waited for. The Retina display and battery stunning, with the battery lasting about 12 hours of continuous use. It’s light and fast. It’s fast for a dual core and even runs VMs’ well. The only downside is the in-store models are limited to 8GB RAM, where as 16GB models are available from Apple.

I bought this to replace my 2013 era MacBook Air and am very glad I did. Slightly smaller and lighter the laptop is faster than my trusty friend and has a sharper monitor to boot! The only drawback is the USB-C only ports which I will need adapters to use my peripherals. So far that's been a minor issue. I'm loving the upgrade!

Literally the best thing since the internet. This beast weighs next to nothing, so I definitely had to get a case so I don’t drop it & damage it. The gold color is very beautiful and matches my iPhone XS Max & Apple Watch 4 perfectly! I’m not a nerd, so I don’t know anything about the “specs”, so you’ll have to rely on the geek squad for all that jazz. Overall the laptop does what I needed it to do, but I would suggest buying either the mouse 2 or the larger track pad as using the little pad gets uncomfortable after long periods of time. Also, purchasing the adapter for the USB port is a must if you plan on using that feature, as it does not exist on this model. My only wish is that it had the USB connection already installed and a touch screen. But overall, a great buy.

This MacBook Air is what I’ve come to expect from Apple. It’s super easy to setup, light weight, sleek/looking, and seamlessly functions with my other products. Just beware of the new ports because you do need to buy the adapter in order to use USB/HDMI cords.

In my opinion, the 2020 MacBook Air is a perfect laptop. It has physical keys that are a pleasure to type on, a beautiful screen, an optimal size, good pricing, and a quad-core processor. The only "touch" button is the fingerprint sensor and the touch pad. The onboard graphics are as good as discrete graphics from a few years ago according to benchmarks, which is impressive. The speakers work well. Being an educator, I purchased it on the Apple Education Store for $1200, and it couldn't have come at a better time, given the transition to Zoom in the coronavirus pandemic. Thank you, Apple, for rediscovering yourself. I had been holding onto my 2011 MacBook Air because I was unimpressed with the offerings the past few years.

LOVE this laptop. I needed to upgrade my 2010 MBpro and had been eyeing this model, the previous version of the air, and the Touch Bar MBpro. I went with this model & absolutely love it. I don't need all the power that the new MBpro offers, so I went with the air. It has the TouchID feature which has streamlined unlocking my computer. Also, I'm able to unlock it just by wearing my Apple Watch. Color is beautiful. It is SO fast. Amazingly light which makes toting it around easier on my back. Screen has noticeably better colors and quality than the previous models. Sound is crisp and clear (and gets pretty loud). The larger trackpad is one of the features that I originally didn't think I would notice/prefer, but after using it over the past few weeks it is absolutely essential. Force touch works great. I could go on and on.

I was looking for a powerful, light weight laptop with a good display and this is exactly what the Mac Air is all about. I will also say that after being a PC person for 36 years, this was my first Mac purchase. Apple In-store and phone support has been great and I am glad I made the switch. Everything just seems to flow so smoothly on the MAC - from the sleek touch-pad to the integration of the programs. Open Office installed nicely and I'm dabbling with the native Mac programs as well. It's been a fun transition. While 8 RAM is fine most of the time, I have run into a bit of slowdown a couple times with too many programs open. I tend to multi-task to the extreme. Otherwise the response is excellent both online and from the flash drive.
