As a long time PC user, I was trepidatious about switching to a MAC. However, now that I've gotten used to it, I will never go back. It's fast, user friendly, doesn't get hot like my PCs always have. Just a great everyday laptop.

The macbook pro with the new pressure sensitive touch pad is just great. The battery life is amazing and the retina display looks amazing. Its easy to carry because of the light weight and compact size.

If you need a reliable and long lasting laptop that will always work with all rounded good specs and an above average battery this is what you need. The only big flaw on this computer is the lack of storage space for the base model and the inability to upgrade the RAM, if your pockets allow I would strongly suggest you to upgrade the RAM to 16GB and get the 256GB storage option. Or wait for a newer model because 128GB is just simply not enough.

I got this as a gift for my 18 year old son. He loves vets it and is currently learning how to computer program on it. He uses it a lot and he says he loves the size, the weight and the speed. One of the nice things about a Mac is you can run Linux and Windows on it easily. I've now owned three MacBook pros and I've been very pleased with all of them.

This 13 inch Macbook Pro w/ Retina is really awesome to use. I am actually currently using it to write this review and its so fast and and up to date. I have already and would recommend this laptop to anyone. I have also used iMovie on here and it is so easy to use and the quality of the videos comes out amazing. I had a macbook previous to this and this upgrade has helped me out with using my laptop more. The display is perfection.

This new MacBook is just Great! Very thin and lightweight, however extremely powerful and fast. Battery life is excellent, I use it all day and plug it in from time to time, but it always seems to have plenty of battery life left (75%+) Keyboard is sleek and smooth and the sensitivity is perfect. The connection to a monitor is easy and with 2 USB ports has ability to connect everything I need. An all-around Great computer.

This was a gift for my sister. She's going to law school and needed a fast, lightweight and reliable computer for the years to come. So far it has excelled in every aspect. It has great battery life, the images are crisp and clear. She love's it

I was deciding between this and the 13inch Macbook Air. I knew I wanted something light and had good battery life. The Air was my first choice and I was about to make the purchase until I realized I could get double the RAM, a better screen, and a more future proof machine. It also doesn't weigh that much more than the Air. Love it!

Screen is crisp and the laptop is incredibly light. Performance is great and it's super fast.

I originally purchased this computer with the primary intention of just using it as a school computer, nothing fancy. However, this computer soon proved me wrong and I realized that it has plenty of power and ability to do much more than just Microsoft Word. The speakers on this thing are far better than I could have ever imagined and AND OH MY GOD, how could I not mention the screen on this computer; literally, this one gives my $1500 Samsung flat screen a run for its money; this is literally the best screen I've ever seen on any device. I overwhelmingly recommend this laptop to anyone who thinks they need a computer from basic things such as internet and email, all the way up to video editing, etc... The build quality and performance of this laptop far exceeds any of the Windows laptops I have had in the past or my pervious Macbook. This computer has been by far one of the purchases I have ever made and I look forward to many years of service from this device. Best Buy also does great job getting this to their customers, I got my Mac in less than 5 days under Standard shipping with zero hiccups or any problems!!!

I am a graduate student and have never worked with Mac but this purchase has proven to be well worth the extra expense. It is so unbelievably light yet still fast, clear, and very responsive. I couldn't have asked for a better size laptop. It weighs nothing, but still has a large enough screen that it doesn't feel like size quality was compromised. I love all the features and am definitely a Mac person now.

This has been a great machine-small enough to carry, big enough to work on-plenty of power and speed for intensive business use. Have tried many....this is the one. Fast, versatile, powerful, very easy to use. A very high class piece of gear...and very attentive service and great advice from the Best Buy sales person.

I'm extremely happy with the new Macbook Pro. The new design is really nice and the display is awesome. I was able to upgrade to El Capitan easily. I have to say that getting the model with the SSD was also well worth it. It makes it too much faster, I would highly recommend the SSD version whenever possible.

got this for my college bound daughter- perfect size and weight and comes loaded with every feature necessary for a social media junky teenage student off to college- the best feature is the retina display. Amazing, crisp brilliant picture no matter what direction you are looking at the screen from- no need to adjust the direction of the screen ever again - it's perfect from every angle!

I usually don't buy apple products, especially computers because of the price tag, but this was a great decision! My battery life, sound and display are WAY BETTER than my other laptop, it is pretty compact, has a lot of storage, and I love the style of the computer. Overall very good quality and worth spending the money! Plus Best Buy was very good about price matching with Apple!

This was my first laptop computer, and I am very satisfied and pleased with its performance, looks, and quality. Best Buy had the cheapest price for this laptop from any online retailer. Went with the MacBook Pro as opposed to the MacAir for the extra performance capability and was not concerned about the small difference in weight. Beautiful retina display. Highly recommend it.

Bought as an open box from geek squad, the cpu was practically untouched. It's saved my school work, I'm much more productive with it. It's pretty light compared to most computers. Battery last me a long with school work. It does get a bit hot when gaming but that's probably due to the hard shell, it can burn your finger. I still think it deserves 5 stars, it's a solid buy.

the MacBook is a solid laptop that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It's metal enclosing may make the laptop feel a little bit more heavier that the rest of its competitors but it also offers a more premium feel to product. The Retina display makes everything on the screen more vibrant and beautiful. The downside of this particular model is the limited storage provided.

I bought this product to use for school, my other computer was slow and often unreliable (and huge/heavy) but since I bought this MacBook I take it everywhere. It's thin, light, reliable, fast, and sleek. Also being an apple product I was able to download an apple-compatible app (Notability) that helps me take notes more efficiently in class & records my lectures as well.

I love this laptop.It's lightweight, the retina display is beautiful and the battery length between charges is good. It is seamlessly synched to my iPhone. What could be better. The only downside for me is that when I work at home I'm supposed to have ethernet connection available besides wifi and this mac no longer has a port, it must be purchased as an adaptor.
