I purchased this power adapter after my other cord became damaged. I like the magnetic connection to my computer, but its best to connect it to the computer so the cord faces away otherwise it blocks the usb ports. I also like that the cord can be wrapped around the power adapter for storage and that the plug pulls off and you can connect both cords together to make the cord longer. The power adapter is available in three different wattages so be sure to get the right one for your computer. The cord is good quality, but I wish I didn't have to buy both cords when I only needed one.

I was very happy to find a new apple cord at Best Buy- the sales person was extremely helpful even saving me money by pointing out the open box option. Best Buy is my go-to- store. The cord has helped me drag my computer from room to room and not lose power. My only issue is the cord has discolored.

It's sad. I really enjoy my Apple products. Their attention to detail and their user friendly designs are the best of the best. However, for some reason and for many years, they continue to pass right over the MageSafe power adapter design when rethinking their products. Yes, they changed the magnetic connector. Which, I presume was done to make it sit more flush to the body of the notebook. However, they keep looking right past the absolute worst part of the design. Where the power cord runs into the converter block. This flimsy design results in worn and faulty wires after about a year of use. So, every year I have to go back to the store and purchase a new one at $80 a pop. I gave this rating a 2nd star only for the fact that I love being able to add the power cord extension on with a quick snap.

I’ve had the same power cord for my laptop for years to the point electrical tape was keeping it mostly together. Found a refurbished replacement for a decent cost when I thought that it had been but to third party or discontinued. Packaged like new and was a great find

When replacing your magneticic plug type charger due to a bad cord or some type of failure, be sure to read the output wattage they are different but look the same.

With all the great innovations Apple has achieved in the high tech expensive electronics realm, this is perhaps the worst of them all...The MacBook Air MagSafe chargers are made in such a way that if you fold your charger frequently which most travelers do when on the go, the area closest to the main body of the charger is prone to damage. This is my 3rd charger in 2 years and I'm sure this will also suffer the same fate soon enough. Apple needs to find a way to design the cord end that blends with the body of the charger to make it more durable and less likely to damage.

After reading positive reviews about the open box options available at Best Buy, I decided to take my chances and order that. At $18 off the original price I thought it would be a good deal, but I was wrong. The charger I received was said to have no missing parts and be in excellent condition. In fact, the charger I received had only one of the two outlet plugs pictured (the long one with the cord; the short outlet plug was not included). Additionally, the cord from the charging box to the computer was noticeably dirty, and the cord covering at the point where the adapter connects to the computer was separated, making the wires visible. Obviously, the charger was NOT in excellent condition nor did it have all of the advertised parts. The charger didn't even actually work on my laptop, so I am obviously VERY disappointed and will be returning.

Be extremely careful and gentle with it or fork out lots of money for a replacement. It’s a fire hazard. Apple needs to step up their game and design something more durable.

Much needed and works great with my Mac apple laptop! It was easy to install and useful for charging up my laptop more quickly.

So I got this as an open box item but I don't really care about that, but this power adapter is slick, it's a major high quality and works perfectly for my Macbook Pro. So far, as always, I'm super please over yet another Apple product!

I accidently damaged the adapter that came with my apple computer. Actually i caught the wire in the mechanism that controls my recliner.. The recliner inadvertinently stripped my adapter and left it in disrepair. I feared that i might have a severe problem with damage to my apple or maybe burn it up completely so off to the Best Buy in Morehead City n.c. i went . The folks there listened to my problem and understood it and quickly advised me that i did right by shutting my computer down and discarding my adapter . They then assured me that they would be able to find me a new replacement and off we went . I was introduced to the Best Buy agent that worked the computer section who after being introduced to me and my problem immediately went to straight to the Mag Safe 60 watt adapter. He picked it up and advised that this would be the correct replacement for me. I asked him a few questions and he politely and correctly answered my concerns..At that time i felt that i had received the best information from the agents there so i purchased it and upon arriving home i immediately plugged in in and it has worked perfectly ever sense....I am a Best Buy fan and customer and i highly recommend them as they will always take care to listen to you and and find the right solution.. Also i note that if when i am in the store and have questions of a technical nature and happen to get a new agent or an agent that works in a different section and does not know the answer then him or her will walk me personally over to the section that i need to be in and then locates the agent specialist of that section and introduces me and my issue which assures me that Best Buy has the best trained people to go to buy electronics and gadgets. So many other stores offers sale prices on electronics but the employees don't have enough training and knowledge to to really be helpful... Thanks Best Buy for another job well done...L. C. Swain..

It works excellent as expected. No issues with the charges. So far I have used in 60Hz and 50hz countries with 120v and 240v

Long lasting and very reliable Easy to use and charges fast

These are great chargers. For the life of my I can't figure out why Apple is killing off the MagSafe chargers in the new Macbooks. Have not upgraded and don't intend to as long as there is no MagSafe in the new devices. To use to the ease of not worrying about our Mackbooks not going flying if the wire is tripped on.

Reviewing this is kind of like reviewing gasoline or something like that. You need this thing to make your macbook work. And this certainly does the trick. I highly recommend if you enjoy charging your 13 inch macbook!
