Charge it !!! I like the cord it seems like it’s a little bit longer than the original cord which adds to the comfort of me using my laptop great job guys

I bought this because I previously bought another charger and it worked so well that I bought one for my wife’s laptop as well.

The maker of this product didn't make the improvement of the failure part. I expected that this issue was redesigned. *the connection of the wire and the metal/magnet connector from the charger to the laptop.

OEM Quality for absolute good performance,for my MacBook Pro

It works...but this is the third one I've had with this laptop. No matter how carefully and gently you wind the skinny cable up, it eventually breaks at the join with the main box. I know I wind it up carefully, because I made sure after paying $79 to replace the first one. The question below "Would I recommend this to a friend?" There's only one choice, if you need a charger.

This product works exactly as it should. Best Buy carries quality products.

i ordered what I thought was the same thing from Amazon for 17$ and it came in a blank box with no cord that plugs into the wall. The one from BestBuy came in an Apple Box and has the plug so its operative, I was also provided and extension AC cord with plugin like when you buy from Apple directly. RECOMMEND!!!!

I bought this item to replace my 6-year old Macbook Pro charger that bent and frayed on the end. There are too many stories of knockoff products causing fires, so I went with this charger since I have two kids. This version definitely has a better design that stays in the power slot, and the cord doesn't bend at all. My 1 year old son can even pull on the cord without it coming out! I would expect this charger to last a few more years until my 2009 Macbook Pro finally bites the dust. My main criticism: the price is typical Apple. As usual, they get away with charging $75 for an item that probably could sell well for $50. Apple's chargers haven't changed much in 5 years, which does say something about their quality. I do think they should consider lowering their prices if they want to maintain the same design. Fortunately, I still like this charger a lot and would definitely recommend it over the generics. I just don't know if Apple will do enough to keep their products (especially Mac) interesting over the next few years.

Simply put the Apple MagSafe 2 Charger 85w Works this generation as opposed to the last several. In past generations we had many charger cords born through near the charger box but this generation has been cool to the touch and solid performers. Decided to buy a second charger for backup only or use in separate locations for our three MacBook Pro Retinas. Being Apple buyers since the first Lisa we know that Apple may just stop making an item so we did not want to risk having 3 laptops unable to charge at some point. Found a good deal to buy using Best Buy reward points and cut our costs to 50% retail so we have a backup option.

The mag plug on my original power supply burnt up the pogo pins after about 3 years. This unit is redesigned such that the cord comes off at a right angle (probably to keep the pins from arcing and burning them out). It stays put better on the mag jack. Officially, this is not for the lower power mac books, and Apple is cut and dry about which ones it works with. However, the voltage rating is the same as the lower powered supply was only a few dollars less. The difference in size doesn't bother me. Turns out that it works fine and I can lend it to my more affluent friends with bigger MacBooks.

Had an original MagSafe adapter for 7 years with no issues until late last year and had to replace. Saw the price and went online to look for something highly rated but cheaper...well it was NOT an original and guess what...had to buy another. I decided to buy the original from Apple and could not be happier...it works! As a note and a HUGE PLUS...if you are thinking about upgrading to a new MacBook Pro, you can use this cord/adapter by buying a $9.99 Apple MagSafe adapter for years of use without breaking the bank for a replacement later!

I tried to cheap out and got a 3rd party power adapter from online. While it was half the price, it ran so hot that the plastic cover began to change color to a burnt orange. Then eventually it failed to provide a consistent charge to the laptop. Moral of the story, some computer stuff you can cheap out on, but if you want your Apple products to work as intended for as long as possible, buy the Apple brand. With all that said, this plug works as intended and I am confident it will continue to do so for years to come.

Lost my charger for 2011 17" MBP and grabbed this to replace. Came with the extension cable for extra length from the wall socket which is nice. I tried buying an off brand charger off Amazon for cheap and same day the Mac went dead and needed component level repair. Not a great experience. This being the genuine Apple charger cost significantly more but the quality is there, my MBP charges great and I have confidence it's not going to blow up my Mac like the cheap one did.

I had a very difficult time when purchasing this power supply. I have an old Macbook with the silver keyboard. The original power supply that came with my Macbook has a square magnet that connects with the laptop. The Magsafe 2 has that same looking square end, however it will not work. It is smaller than the original. I actually purchased the Magsafe 2 originally and that is how I discovered that it was not the right size. The Magsafe (1) is the correct power adapter for older Macbooks.

Hello! This apple magsafe 85w power adapter "15-17" MacBook Pro. Is awesome. Its so easy to use. You don't fight with plugging it in. It glide right into postion. Changer very quick. You can store it very easy. Just unclip the piece on the back if the plug. Wrap your cord up. Then your good to go. I recommend the item for sure. Love peace respect

I like my Macbook Pro - and this is the basic option for keeping it charged. I like the design of this cord better than the previous one. I am hoping this will last longer - this is my third one in almost six years. The first one stopped functioning and was replaced under the warranty; the second one started peeling so I purchased this one - so far, so good. This cord seems to be more solid and works well.

The charger has a fantastic design that makes it easy to use, safe, and durable.
