More for looks than protection

The case is smooth and easy to hold in your hand. The silicone texture helps to prevent a lot of slipping out of hands and pockets. The holes in the bottom half of the case do not make sense. It offers no kind on protection and is mostly there so you can see the phone colors through the case.
