I had no idea what I was missing. I picked up this item on a huge discount. I have never heard my speakers sound this full and clean from top to bottom. I have a set of bowers running as my 5 surrounds and a couple of "baby 8s" from the descend line of Def Techs mated to each front tower. I am shocked at everything I listen to knowing how the previous receiver performed. It was no slouch, a pioneer elite. But this brought everything that much more together. I have a second one on order for my main listening area. Ah, did I mention that the settings were a breeze? So easy to navigate and get set up correctly. Deeply satisified.

Outstanding at the recommendation of John once again my system is performing at peak levels I never thought anything could sound this good.

I've owned Yamaha and Denon before and nether of them sounds this clean and detailed! I've heard new instruments that i didn't know existed on my cd's, now to me that's amazing! Not the easiest to setup but it's manageable.

Upgraded from a Denon S750H for more power and pre-outs for future upgrade to separates. What a difference! My poor B&W 606s were suffering with the Denon. Now they sing! The DAC in the Arcam is wonderful to listen to. Even my wife notices the difference. Movies are more 3D in sound and sound quality is vastly improved. It's like I have new speakers. No more muffley dull sound. Now it's clear and better treble. Adjusting bass and treble is also not some cheap trick of making more boomy or brighter, but a very sophisticated leveling up of the entire frequency of more bass or treble. I can't explain it I've never heard anything I've owned do it that way. Also, my video quality is also much clearer and brighter on my Sonly Oled A80J. I bought the AVR5 initially but realized it didn't have IMAX Enhanced. So, I got the AVR10. A bit pricy for that feature because what you are really paying for is the full Dirac license and mic. I am not a fan of room correction and side with John Hunter at REL and prefer to set up manually. You can get IMAX Enhanced cheaper with a Marantz, but you are not getting the real all channels driven power and the DAC of the Arcam. Finally, I have Tidal Master quality and I can play Tidal through the Music Life app on my iphone and you can see the Arcam is playing an MQA file and getting all the detailed goodness from your, if you paid for it, Tidal Master Quality subscription. It's nice to see the color album artwork on the Arcam screen as well. Cons, the big plastic knob (I never use it); Lousy on tv screen menu (I have it hard wired and use my computer for setup); Have to pay for Dirac when all you want is IMAX enhanced and Auro-3D.

Bought this to pair up with a pair of kef Q950 floorstanding speakers and what a sounds the combination produce! I cant think of a combination at this price range with this clean of a sound and clean bass response. Its helps that google cast is built in which makes playing our spotify playlists effortless. Highly recommend this Arcan receiver!

Great sound and very efficient power delivery coming from an AVR. A gripe I have is that from what I can tell, menus are only accessible via the built in screen and not projected on to the tv which makes it hard to see. The receiver also only uses Dirac for room correction and does not have an onboard EQ adjustments. Caveat-I purchased mine as an open box item that was missing the calibration microphone as well as the license code for Dirac. All that being said, this is an amazing AVR with fantastic imaging, plenty of power, and lots of detail.

This AV receiver sounds amazing. I have used top of the line Marantz and Yamaha but this is in different level. Dialogs are chrisp. Bass is amazing and hits hard.

Sounds amazing, I used to have Yamaha rx, this is replacing that receiver. Honestly speaking- it is a little bit complicated to setup. If you aren't familiar with this kinda receiver. Manual is hudge. Lots of information but I do not have time for that to read. I request a service from BB - customer service told me, it will be $129 and I need to wait for 2 weeks. And there is another thing - no youtube videos for instruction for this receiver. But I made it. Yeu hooo. I am happy.

Amazing receiver. Powerful even at nearly half the wattage of my Yamaha 3900. However it’s not without faults. Had it for a few weeks and already had to restart it a few times for the audio to come on.

The voice clarity and the sound separation is amazing. I had a Marantz prior to purchasing this. After running Dirac-Live, I now have amazing bass, full surround sound, and crystal clear voices.

Excellent receiver form Arcam with unique true Arcam sound with outstanding surround and stereo music sound. Dirac live calibration is outstanding with added bass management. I use them with a set of Focal speakers. With the same set I used Marantz receiver and was very disappointed with its sound - too much of processing and it is very hard to find just unacceptable sound. I guess, as a repeated Arcam customer I have to go once more back to Arcam quality. The scam menu and Dirac calibration are very intuitive with a lot of options. unlike Marantz settings and superficial Audyssey calibration. Arcam items that I owned are very reliable, my previous 2nd hand receiver AV600 lasted for 10-15 year and still running with no problems.

Once the firmware was updated via thumb drive, I’ve had no issues. Sound quality in my room is much improved compared to the marantz sr8012 I had been using.

Yes, it's very expensive. However, once you know how to use it (and have a professional set it up), you really appreciate the quality.

5/5 stars. Amazing audio quality, super easy to setup. Worth the money if youre an audiophile.
