DIY Security that Does it All!

Arlo has seemingly been an under the radar home security solution for a while now with its line of cameras and doorbells. Now they are making a big move with an actual security system and so far, I am impressed! UNBOXING & INSTALL: - As seen in the picture, this unboxing is straight forward which I like. the keypad is nice and low profile and I love the look of the sensors. - Overall the install was very easy. You plug in the sensor hub first, and once that is setup via your Arlo Home app, it’s very easy to connect the remaining sensors. - The sensors go on with a sticky pad which makes it easy to go on any surface and also makes them removable if you ever move or want to place the sensors somewhere else. - Let me also add, you are not required to have a subscription to use this alarm system. Yes there are added benefits to a paid subscription like professional monitoring where agents will call the local authorities for you. But you can manage that all on your own if you do not want to. PROS: - All in all, the hardware here is rock solid! I have had no issues with the hardware at all and they have been great to use! - The all in one sensors are clearly the star of this package! They can do monitor open/close, motion, temperature changes, light changes, water leaks, detect smoke alarms going off, and tilt change aka if you want to attach it to a garage door. Really versatile value!! - The hub itself is great too as you can easily arm it, or turn on the siren, or contact the authorities! It also detects motion so it really acts as a 6th sensor in this kit. - Something I love is that the hub will play a “ding” noise anytime someone opens a door. Very useful feature so you can place the hub in a common area so everyone can hear when access doors are being opened! - Overall I do really like the Arlo Secure App as well! They made some improvements to the app and its works really well with the security system. Within the app you can make your system very minimalist or very hands on with a lot of notifications. So whatever works best! You can also customize each of the 3 modes so that the sensors behave differently in each security mode. - Expanding on that, so the app lets you set schedules for when you want different security modes or how you want your cameras & sensors to behave during different modes. I think people are really going to like this increased level of customization! CONS: - My only “cons” about this product are strictly around their app and software related features. So let me start by saying, I think this product is still new and they can easily implement fixes for some of my concerns! - That being said; the “feed” feature in the Arlo app is great but I think it needs fixing. Essentially the only things in the feed are notifications, but I think users will like seeing activity in the feed when you are not away from home without getting a notification about it every single time. For example, seeing when a door was opened or closed, seeing when there was motion at a certain sensor, or seeing when lights were turned on. I just think that needs to be fleshed out more and not driven by push notifications. - I’ll also add, the new App will default to NOT showing recordings when you are in “standby” mode. So I had to create new rules for my cameras to still give me video recordings even when I am home. I think that Arlo should change this so that cameras still default record in all security modes. - Lastly, there is no integration with Google Home or Apple HomeKit at this time. It would be nice to have so I could arm the system using Google or that it could tie into some of my other home rules. BOTTOM LINE: - Overall what I love is that this system gives me piece of mind when I am at home sleeping or gone from the house! It simply does exactly what I need it to as in monitor the entrances, turn alarms on when I am gone, and notify the authorities in an emergency situation. I would like to see Arlo make some software related updates but that is easily attainable!! I think a lot of people will really enjoy having a system like this in their home, office, or wherever they need it!

The Arlo Home Security System is definitely a top-tier product. Easy to set up with plenty of great features that other home security systems don't offer. I build kits and systems for customers and they make an excellent upgrade when paired with Arlo Pro security cameras, especially the Arlo Ultra 2's. Here's a few of our bundles we have put together that are paired with Arlo's pro 4 and Ultra 2 security cameras.

I own an Arlo Security Camera and an Arlo Wireless Doorbell and am extremely happy with those items. I purchased this Arlo home security system thinking it would be a slam dunk and be as easy to set up as the other items but boy was I wrong. To start, everything about the system looks great. But, I had trouble right off the bat during step 1 of getting the base station to connect to my wifi (I run a dual band 5ghz - 2.4ghz system). I took three tries (my camera and doorbell had no issue in this department) and it has since disconnected twice and I had to unplug the system to get it to reconnect. Secondly, each sensor equally had issues connecting to the base station. All but one of them took several tries and those four had to factory reset themselves to finally connect. After around 4 hours, all the sensors were still at 100% battery except for the one I put on my garage door. That sensor is sitting at 14%. The ultimate crux is the app. I had to update it to use the security system with it but I'm now currently unable to change any settings for the system because the app is constantly in a state of saying "Please Wait" and then it will say "your request has been timed out" if it does anything at all. I may think I'm exaggerating, but I wanted to see how long it would say "Please Wait" when I tried to change the audio alert volume and after an hour of not using my phone at all, the "Please Wait" spinning circle was still going so I gave up. It's maddening that the app completely doesn't respond/let you do any setting changes. So, I went to the actual website and logged into my account but I was unable to make changes there as well through my dashboard. Everything is fully update to date in terms of firmware/software updates (my phone, the Arlo system itself and the app). Maybe Arlo is having server issues and it will work out at some point, but now I'm past the BB return window (my own fault for not getting around to installing it sooner) but I'm afraid I made a big mistake in purchasing this system.

Arlo is a home security system that can be set up easily and provides peace of mind. This system is easy to set up and use and affordable, and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. I already owned one Arlo system before receiving this Arlo system, and have been using it for a few years. My first Arlo system has three cameras and also uses a phone app to alert me to any motion. This system has worked perfectly. I have those three cameras mounted outside my house and in addition to seeing wildlife, it once helped stop a potential intruder. I will be using this system inside my house. It includes two small eight-in-one sensors that can detect motion, open/close, tilt, smoke, CO2, ambient light, freeze, and water leaks. The sensors can be placed anywhere in your home, including doors, windows, and walls. The system can be customized to fit your needs. For example, you can choose to receive notifications for all sensor events or only for certain events. The sensors are connected to a keypad that can be used to arm/disarm the system, set the alarm, and view notifications. The keypad has three modes: arm home, arm away, and standby. The system also includes a free one-month trial of Arlo's Safe and Secure Pro monitoring service, which can send alerts to the authorities if the system detects an intruder or other problem. Emergency response and smoke/CO2 alarm listening require an Arlo professional monitoring plan after the trial period. If you are looking for a reliable and affordable home security system, Arlo is a great option. It is easy to set up and use, and it provides peace of mind knowing that your home is protected.

If you're already in the Arlo ecco system then this would be a good additional security system. This home security comes with a keypad and two 8 in 1 sensors. The system itself is nicely built and has a compact design. First off, the keypad acts as the main hub so make sure you find a good spot. The hub is powered by USB connection so if you have USB sockets on your outlet you can skip the included brick. Setting it up is pretty easy once you get it connected to your router. Be aware that connecting it to the router can be a little challenging. This hub only uses 2.4Ghz band even though I still had some issues connecting it. My work around was to manually typing the SSID and password because my SSID was not showing on the app. Once connected to the internet, download the Arlo Secure app and follow the instructions. After setting the hub and updating the firmware connect the two sensors and you're ready to go. I really like how this hub can be widely used for other things than just a keypad. It actually has a built-in motion sensor and can also be used as a smoke detector and CO alarm. You can turn those features on within the app settings. The keypad is responsive and the built in siren is not the loudest but annoying enough to be noticed. You can add wireless connectivity and battery backup to the keypad with a non-included cellular/battery pack add-on. The included sensors are impressive. I really love how they can be used for multiple things rather than just motion. The sensor can be used as smoke/co alarm, motion, temperature, ambient lighting, access, and even as a water leak detector. To be honest I put them to the test and they do work. I even tried the water leak detection and it was right on the spot even with the alert. The hardware of this system works. When it comes to the software it is plain simple to use but it could be better. For instance you have 5 different tabs. The dashboard, feed, emergency, devices and routines. On the dashboard you get pretty much the same information as the device's tab and you can do the same thing. If you want to see the activities (triggers) you will select on the feed tab. That’s a lot of switching between tabs to accomplish those simple functions. In my opinion the activities should be displayed within the Dashboard tab which is the main screen when the app loads up, and you can see all the information at glance. When it comes to routines and automation they are easy to use but kind of limited. It just has two types of automations: schedule and arrive/leave. For instance I try to create a rule that if I get a water leak I’ll get a text msg. That could not be accomplished, instead get the notification from the app and that notification has to be set up within the device function tab and is limited to email. This is a DYI security system you can add more Arlo peripherals than just the two included sensors. You also have the option to subscribe to professional monitoring. Those subscription packages range from $4.99 to around $24.99 a month. That's pretty much on par as with other competitors when it comes to professional monitoring. Overall this system is a plain simple to use system and if you already have Arlo cameras installed then this will go perfect with that setup. It is easy to install and with multiple functions sensors you can be very creative and use them for pretty much anything. In the box you get the Keypad, two sensors, two magnets, power brick, installation kit and manuals.

    The Security System at Simplicity

First and foremost. I have Xfinity the Gigabit plan (1200 Mbps) service hooked to Nest Wifi Pro with 3 points mesh system. I primarily want to invest in this Arlo Security System because of the ecosystem since I already have 9 Arlo cameras installed across my house. Secondly, I like the Arlo app; its UI is intuitive and easy to navigate. What I like: Easy setup and installation and the whole process took me about 5 minutes. No drilling or wiring is required. Arlo app guided me through the setup and illustrated it well enough to visually understand. The connection was trouble-free and had no issues with my tri-band mesh router. Once I added the security system, the Arlo app prompted me to upgrade the app. After that, the app was changed and its UI looks different. My system comes with two sensors. It is worth noting that each sensor performs multiple functions such as open/close detection, motion, water leak, tilt detection for doors, light changing, temperature, and smoke. This is convenient and versatile. I used one sensor for my garage door since it will alert me whenever the door is open or closed. I put the other sensor for motion detection near my main door. Also, the sensor can be installed with or without a magnet. In my case, I had the sensor for the garage door mounted without a magnet since it supports a tiltable door option which is awesome. Such setup requires further calibration that is also well-guided through the Arlo app. What I don't like: It does not have a battery and cellular backup as it is sold separately. The system is not integrated with Apple HomeKit which is inconvenient since all the cameras are integrated and can be viewed on the HomeKit app. In addition, the new app UI upgrade forced by the security system is not as friendly as it used to be with the Arlo secure app. I have experienced some issues with 2 cameras and setting the arming mode is not as friendly as with the Arlo secure app. Overall, my experience with the system is good. it functions well and sends me a notification whenever an audio/ motion is detected. The garage door sensor is a breeze, it alerts me when opens and closes. Adding a widget on the app dashboard is great to have all my cameras and sensors at my glance. Of course, professional monitoring is available for $25 a month with emergency response. The app reflects the three alarming modes as they are physically on the hub keypad. that can be customized for how notifications and actions can be triggered. I had to edit each mode to adjust the motion and audio sensitivity in the best way that is not overwhelming and annoying. It is an excellent system if you are looking you have a security system and cameras in one app. So far so good!!!

I love the versatility of the Arlo Security System. It comes with two sensors, but it can support up to five, so you can customize it to fit your needs. I opted for a motion sensor and a water detection sensor for my basement, since I recently had a flooded basement. I love having the peace of mind knowing that I'll be alerted if there's any water in my basement again. And I love that I can easily change my mind and switch the sensors to something else if I need to. The Arlo app is also easy to use. Once the device is connected to WiFi, you're pretty much good to go. I don't anticipate anyone struggling to set up their own home security system with Arlo. It's nice that you don't have to rely on some third-party company to install your system for you. If you know how to stick a sticker on a wall, you'll have no problem with this. But there was one big downside to the Arlo Security System: the WiFi setup process was NOT easy. I couldn't get it connected to WiFi out of the box. I had to contact support, and they originally thought it was my home network. But I knew that wasn't the case, since it was the only device that couldn't connect. I finally convinced them that my network wasn't the problem and they eventually had me factory reset the keypad, and that fixed the problem. Weird that a brand new out of box device needed a factory reset. I don't think this will be a common issue, but it's something to be aware of, especially if you're not tech-savvy. Overall, I'm really happy with the Arlo Security System. It's versatile, easy to use, and can give you piece of mind which I think is priceless. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a DIY home security system. Oh and the best part about this is they don't hound you to subscribe! Yes there's added benefits, but I haven't once been pestered about it which I respect!

I am very happy with this device after a few days. It has extremely easy installation, is easy to use and seems reliable. Unboxing & Setup: In the box you will find the base unit, two sensors, documentation, some stickers and the ac adaptor. Installation couldn’t be easier. First, download the Arlo app which will guide you through the process. Pairing the base station with the app is easy and will provide a few tests to make sure it works properly. The door sensors go on with adhesive and are easy to align. I used mine as door sensors but they can be used as water leak sensors or motion detectors. Hardware: I was very impressed with what features each unit includes. The base unit does everything, it has smoke alarm listening, CO2 alarm listening, motion detection (in the front) and a built in siren. The buttons are panic, first aid, police and fire. Buttons feel well built and are responsive. The unit will light up when it detects you are walking toward it. The only downside I see is it only uses 2.4Ghz Wifi which is good for range but might be bad for interference. Security options include home (disarmed), arm (all sensors active), and arm home (open/close sensors only, good for night while sleeping so no one sets off the motion detector). The door sensors are also jack of all trades. They do most of what the base unit does but also adds tilt detection (garages), open/close and temperature detection. The sensors use CR2477 batteries. Software: The Arlo app is easy to use. Compared to most home security systems, I actually prefer the Arlo interface since it allows you to arm/disarm the unit on the go with no PIN needed. I use this to disarm the alarm when I am getting out of the car so I don’t need to go to the panel. The app also has the ability to activate the siren and call emergency support. The unit came with a trial for “Professional Monitoring” which will allow Arlo to notify emergency services if the alarm goes off for any reason. There is further integration if you have other Arlo devices such as viewing cameras to ensure there is no false alarm. Daily use: The device is easy to use and as discussed, it allows me to easily set and disarm the device. You can also set automations via schedules. I trained my kid on how to use the alarm and emergency buttons so that is another tool to allow him to quickly take action in the event of an emergency. I have had zero false alarms so far with a large cat roaming the house. I intend to buy the battery / cellular backup unit as well as a few additional sensors for the house.

I recently upgraded my home security setup with the Arlo Home Security System, complete with the Wired Keypad Sensor Hub and two 8-in-1 Sensors in white. As someone who values the safety of my home, I was looking for an upgradeable and user-friendly security solution, and Arlo exceeded my expectations. Setting up the Arlo Home Security System was a breeze. The detailed instructions provided in the Arlo Secure app, made the installation process very straightforward, and within minutes, I had the keypad and the sensors ready to go. The Arlo 8-in-1 sensors are the true stars of this system. The versatility is unmatched, they function as motion detectors, contact sensors, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, light sensors, and more. This multifaceted approach allows me to monitor not just security breaches but also environmental factors within my home, providing a comprehensive view of my living space. I decided to make one of the little sensors a water detector because I have been having some water leaks in my furnace room, along with the other big sensors as a motion detector and then used the Second one to monitor my front door. The Arlo app serves as the control center for the entire system, and it is very user-friendly. From arming and disarming the system to receiving real-time alerts, the app simplifies every aspect of home security. The ability to customize alerts and notifications gives me complete control over my security preferences, and also setting up routines, ensuring that I'm always in the know, no matter where I am. I've been thoroughly impressed by the reliability and performance of the Arlo Home Security System. The sensors are incredibly responsive, detecting even the slightest movements and changes in my home. The system has proven its worth by providing accurate alerts without false alarms, giving me peace of mind whether I'm at home or away, I plan on adding additional sensors to detect leaks in other rooms and to monitor motion detection. Overall I feel that the Arlo Home Security System with Wired Keypad Sensor Hub and (2) 8-in-1 Sensors in white is a great choice for anyone seeking a reliable, and user-friendly home security solution. Its easy installation, exceptional functionality, and seamless integration capabilities make it a standout entry product for those that want to keep their house secure and choose to upgrade in how they want to. With Arlo, I highly recommend this for those who truly want to monitor all aspects of their homes.

This versatile security system can be used anywhere you can access Wi-Fi. With this kit, you get the main security keypad that connects to the Wi-Fi, two unique 8-in-1 sensors, adhesives to attach sensors, a USB Charger Block/box/cube/brick Plug, a quick reference guide, and a “Protected Arlo Smart Security” sticker. Each sensor has the capability of one of these options: (1) Detects motion, (2) detects tilts (it is excellent to place one on garage doors), (3) Detects when doors open and close, (4) notifies if CO2 goes off, (5) notifies if the house smoke alarm goes off, (6) has ambient light detection, (7) has freeze detection. (8) water leak senor. Each sensor uses one battery size CR2477. DTo do the installation, one must download the Arlo Secure App, which it will guide you through the entire process. All the notifications get sent to your mobile device (tablet or phone). Note that certain features require an Arlo professional monitoring paid plan, which product gives you a free trial period to test the paid service. The kit is a small security system capable of expanding to include other sensor types, cameras, and devices. The cameras available to set up with the system are the Arlo: Ultra Series, Pro Series, Essential Series, Go2, Q&Q Plus, Baby, Go, and Arlo. Doorbells and Chime models: Essential Vidoe Doorbll Wire-Free, Essential Video Doorbell Wired, Audio Doorbell, and Arlo Chimes (Chime and Chime2). You can add to the system the Arlo Wire-Free Outdoor Siren. The Arlo lights models: Pro 3 Floodlight Camera and the Arlo Security Light. Another device is the Arlo Light Bridge, which controls lighting around the system. I have reliable internet, but if your Wi-Fi isn’t that great, there is an option to purchase the Arlo Cellular and Battery Backup modular accessory. The Keypad Sensor Hub attaches to the backup modular and provides cellular backup during internet or power outages. Overall, I am satisfied with this Arlo Home Security System, and what I like the most is that it is customizable and expandable.

Very versatile yet sleek Home Protection offered by Arlo. I already have 4 cameras and a door-bell by them so i'm really pleased to see this addition. It really adds to my peace of mind when comes to my home protection. Setup is very simple Arlo has a very intuitive app and with a lot of illustrations. Specially if you already have or used Arlo in the past this should be a walk in the park to have this system set-up and running. The device it's self is sleek and like i said in the description it's like a do it all sensor that i bet a lot of people will be loving to have it really serves well in a lot of situation when comes to protect your home. Basically besides a God forbid home invasion this will help you protecting your home from a potential water damage, fire or freezing pipes due tue a faulty furnace or so. The 8 functions of this tinny sensors they are very welcomed and i'm planning on adding more besides the 2 pack they currently have. What i'm not planing on extending is the monitoring security hence the reason i gave 4stars. It's a great system i love my arlo devices and this makes no exception. But i'm not the adept of subscription business model that's been taking over in the last decade specially when you have to pay for the devices. I think if you have to charge me monthly for my security then at least you can provide the equipment as this becomes old and needs to be replaced every couple of years to stay relevant. That being said .... if you currently own Arlo (like i do) this is a great addition ... even without the 24/7 monitoring they offer.

Arlo has had some of the best consumer wireless security cameras on the market. In terms of visuals, battery life, versatility, they don’t get much better. The issue for me has always been the cost. Even more so, Arlo’s line of products have become increasingly more complex. I’ve also had issues with Arlo putting its older products out to pasture (like some of the original cameras I have). But, I feel somewhat trapped in its ecosystem after already having purchased many of its products - and paying for a camera subscription. So, the security system makes sense on some levels as it’s one less app to use and the cameras I have should work in sync with the security system. However, it’s hard to recommend the Arlo Security system, not necessarily because of the features or even ease of use, but because of the cost. IN THE BOX and SETUP In this box, you’ll get the security keypad, power cable/brick, and two all in one sensors. The setup is pretty easy - surprisingly actually. Reminder that I already have the Arlo app and cameras, so for me, I opened the app and clicked on “add device.” There I added the security system. First I had to “upgrade” the app. I didn’t have to redownload anything through the Google Play Store, the app just took a few minutes to update itself. From there, you walk through a tutorial like setting up your pin to unlock/arm the system. The app walks you through the various modes, like away and home and unlocked. From there, you add the sensors that are included in the box. As you add the sensors - by scanning the QR codes - you’re asked to name them, and asked how you will use them. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by the app’s helpfulness in showing/explaining how you could use the sensors so you could make the best choice to fit your needs. SENSORS The sensors really do it all. They detect changes in light, they detect motion, sound, they detect carbon monoxide, smoke, and can even detect water. They really do it all which is nice, because you don’t have to worry about what sensors to buy when expanding your system. You can put them flat on the wall, or in the corner. The app does a great job of calibrating them to detect doors opening, or where best to place them to detect motion in a room (i.e. height, angles). They can be installed using sticky adhesive (included) or a small bracket that you install with screws and anchors. KEYPAD The keypad is really responsive. The buttons are clicky and consistently register each push. Given the cost, it would be nice if it had a small screen, but instead, there are lights indicating whether it’s armed or not. It should be noted that the keypad also has similar functionality to the sensors itself - so it can detect motion and carbon monoxide/smoke. This is useful because you don’t necessarily need a sensor in the same area as the keypad. The only real issue I have with the keypad is where to put it. Honestly, i prefer that it be on the wall which you can do, but you need a plug nearby. And even if you have a plug nearby, there’s the issue of having a cable hanging on the wall and the extra work required to hide it (if you so choose). Based on my house’s setup, I don’t have a good spot to have the keypad in a location where it’s easily accessible by the door from my garage. That means I have to walk to a nearby room - tripping the alarm - which makes me feel a rush to get there and disarm it quickly. But this all depends on the setup of your house. EASE OF USE AND THE APP We don’t arm our security system very often, because one of us works from home most days, but when we have armed it when no one is home, it’s dead simple to use. The keypad has a microphone in it, which allows for voice commands which makes placement of the keypad a little easier (as I mentioned above). The Arlo app is surprisingly versatile. At first, I was burdened with what I believed to be unnecessary notifications - like change in ambient light as detected by one of the sensors. But spending a little time in the app, you can disable/enable specific notifications. You can setup routines in the app, which will arm the house at specific intervals of the day which is nice for those you have a pretty consistent routine. What I do love is the integration with other Arlo devices. They work well together, with sensors triggering cameras to record as one example. And being able to see all of your security devices (cameras, doorbells, sensors) all in one location, in one app, is very nice. WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED So one of the rubs with this system is that it’s entirely reliant on the internet. This obviously makes it easy to setup and monitor, but what about those times when your internet is out? There’s no cellular backup option, but you can purchase an accessory kit from Arlo. This is something that should be included in my opinion. There’s also the issue of the limited number of sensors. For better security, you’ll want more than what’s included in this package. Luckily they aren’t too expensive, and one benefit of Arlo over other home security setups is that the sensors themselves are really versatile, which in some respect takes the guesswork out of your setup. Professional monitoring will cost you extra, starting at $24.99 a month. This seems to be about in line with most companies, although Simplisafe is cheaper. I was already paying for multiple cameras in my house (Arlo Secure Plan) so I’m not thrilled with having to pay even more. CONCLUSION At the end of the day, this is an easy to use and easy to setup home security system. But if you don’t already have Arlo security cameras, I would consider staying clear as the upfront costs could get pretty steep depending on the number of cameras you need. But if you already are invested in Arlo, this is a great option to get even more security. You can get away without professional monitoring, but you’ll still need to pay a monthly fee depending on your cameras so there’s really no way to get home security without paying some subscription fee. But it is worth the feeling of security.

Upon opening the box for this Arlo security system, I wondered if this was Really a full security system, there was so little in the box, 2 peanuts, 2 good n’plenty’s and a cigarette sized box. The satellite sensors are very small, and the primary is a Wi-Fi station to the internet, smart phone & Arlo cloud as well as being a motion sensor, co2, smoke monitor, microphone and siren. It has a digital push button unit for PIN security, it’s coverage alone is amazing. The peanut size sensors detect Ambient temperatures, Motion sensor, Ambient light, water leaks, and smoke detector. Mounting adhesives and/or magnets are provided but are not necessary. The entire setup of this security system took me a full day. It does come with good instructions in a small booklet however it depends primarily on the app installation on the smart phone, which is a bit challenging but the app controls everything remotely. Its detection system is outstanding thus far and I have only used motion, ambient light, temperature, and water detection all work excellently. The size of the sensors pasted on the wall or sitting on a flat surface are unnoticeable. One detector placed in a walled closed door bathroom still reports all events to the main unit and alerts my phone. The calendar in the app also lets you review the past records of events recorded by the sensors, along with this feature you set detection level from mild to supersensitive. Its only Obvious drawback is the app on my Android, it freezes, reports the wrong time in the events log and straight up crashes. No noticed telephone support seems available but thus far this does not away credit for the valuable service, a reboot or closing of the app usually clears up the problem.

I give this product a 9/10. Very easy to install. The price is a little expensive!! Overall a great product. Unfortunately, you need the monthly subscription (sub) to be able to use emergency services. Here is my honest review (video), which also shows me unboxing and installing this product: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC-2TL4_emZK7wLEwq0UySHZ3bexMwuBI I am not sponsored. I paid my own money for this product.

I'm very happy with the security system. It's simple yet powerful. I'm in awe with the sensors. I had no clue that they can perform 8 functions and all at the same time, which could also be managed and activated/deactivated from the app itself. This is the best.

I have been using multiple Arlo products for some time now due to the ability to save video on an SD card without having to pay for a subscription. I have invested in multiple types of the cameras and was excited to try out the home security sensors / keypad. I have been very impressed with the Arlo products and customer service that added me throughout the process. Setup was impressively easy with step by step animated instructions and retries without timing/erroring out. At times I found myself taking long pauses trying to decided where to place the sensor and keypad throughout the house. It was great to see the software never timed out as the phone screen locked throughout the entire timespan. Also it was nice to see the app retried without erroring out when I mistakenly placed the sensor upside down. There is a disclaimer for those who used the old arlo system that you will be upgraded to version 4.0 and loose custom settings. So if you are a legacy Arlo user be sure to take note of that warning. Otherwise all functions remains intact especially with still being able to access your SD Video recordings. The adhesive worked great for the sensors and the keypad has a long enough cord for placing in high areas. Be sure NOT to press on that sensor in the front of the keypad or it will ruin your device. My only issue is that the keypad uses WIFI 2.4Ghz instead of the 5G band. I wished they upgraded the band instead of using the slow legacy one. Other than that, setup worked great and with such ease. The application is my favorite, I really like the addition of widgets to bring to front the most used devices. I was impressed with the improved customizations for routine automations. I was able to select the individual devices and set them on different times for activation. I am also able to customize each device personal settings way more than the legacy software prior to the upgrade. The app also allows the feed and delegation with others in the family to be able to access the devices. I did notice it hides the SD card video library within the Arlo Hub personal settings. I found myself having to go into the Arlo Hub personal settings then selecting "storage settings" to see the locally stored videos. I am unsure if this will become the norm or its due to the upgrade. The amount of customization is a huge win for me as I have a large family and various schedules to set automations for. Overall this is an amazing product and strong recommend this for anyone looking to protect their home. The customer service is wonderful, Arlo allows for personal SD video storage outside of subscription and their products are well made!!

I got this in the process of replacing the camera setup I had before moving. I am moving from Blink to Arlo because the arlo cameras have better quality, just as simple setup, and like the Blink system (with the sync module) doesn’t require a subscription. I got this as it was a great way to start security for the whole home including camera monitoring. Now to the product itself. It’s really easy to set up, comes with great features like the sensors which have so many uses for the cost it borders ridiculous. The door sensors also have motion sensors AND can even be used as a moisture sensor. This kit is a great way to get your home security started and pairs well with the security camera kit. The fact you can add as you go makes it approachable for pretty much anyone.

The Arlo Home Security System is top of the line product. It’s easy to set up with plenty of amazing features that other home security systems don't offer. We build customized security bundles and they make an excellent upgrade when paired with Arlo Pro and Ultra security cameras. Here's a few bundles we’ve put together that are paired with Arlo's pro 5S and Ultra 2 security cameras. You can find our customized kits on our website: https://superiorsystemsinc.square.site

I am beyond impressed by this earlier system to the fact that when I started with the wired security panel everything else that was in the box was listed and ready to be quickly synced and everything was easy to set up. The sensors take less than two minutes to set up program and have in place and the operation of the system could not be any easier
