This camera synced with an older base station we had without problem. I’m really surprised by how great the quality is at 2k and the spotlight is brighter than expected. The motion sensitivity is might need to be tuned down a bit. We would pick up flies in the beginning, slight adjustment and it’s now good to go. Highly recommend

Love the picture quality and the automatic zoom feature when it detects motion but it costs a little much money and it requires extra subscription of recording which was a big disappointment.

bought the two camera system from costco on Christmas special.... Best Buy prob had the same deal. Low upfront cost and simple set up. As the wallet could afford it we grabbed this add on camera on special at BB and will prob do one more someday. Totally satisfied with the rez but i wish the add on camera was a tad cheaper. This system will become a sweet deal as it gets older and cheaper because it's really good. Im not dissatisfied in the slightest.

I like the tracking capabilities. I notice that we had person question in the neighborhood been prowling late night peaking in the window of neighbors. The camera caught this person peaking in our bedroom window and the police had use this footage and they could not believe how clear, color, and clarity in night setting. I like this camera for the price and can hook up most systems of Arlo. I will upgrade eventually to 4K.

These cameras are a bit quirky in the way they work. They are battery powered only. I did buy long charge cables to go with them, but the connection is affected by the weather, and I have to occasionally disconnect them and clean the contacts. The software is a little funky, too. But they do work. They're just a little fiddly.

Nice Upgrade from Arlo Pro 2

This is a nice upgrade from Arlo Pro 2. It has a light that is triggered when recording in the dark, it records in 2K and you can specify areas to watch within the view. The notifications will tell you if it was a vehicle, animal or person that triggered the recording. It also does not require you to pay for recording service through Arlo.

Works as advertised and have no issues with it whatsoever. I highly recommend getting the solar panel for it, the battery lasts about a week before having to charge it again. Depends on how often it picks up movement, less movement equals longer and more movent equals Les s battery life. Get the solar panel charger for it. Great picture and sound.

The Pro 3 is bigger than previous Pro 2 and HD Arlo cameras, but is doesn't look at less discrete. Battery life is better than I expected. Placed one in a high traffic area to see how it would do with may activations. Got maybe a month out of it (limited light use though). Compatible with base station that came with Pro 2s.

The difference between the 2k and the 1080p is definitely noticeable; but don't expect camcorder level video quality. Far off objects are still noticeably pixelated and the color is washed out and looks like something from a post apocalypse movie. Hopefully that will change with updates. Calling the light a "spotlight" is being VERY generous. I don't know what the specs are; but it's about as bright as a guide light that you'd put on the walkway to your porch. It's no substitute for a dedicated motion detection light. The build quality is great and if history is any indication, it'll give me years of service. I love the redesign of the mount because it gives more options for where to point the camera (not that the prior versions were "bad") The app is still...regrettable. It can be VERY slow to connect to the hub (minutes). I can't blame it on my mobile device, router, cell provider or number of cameras because it's ALWAYS been this way...for years. Also the "integration" with Amazon Echo and Google Hub only meets the barest of requirements. You can stream to the devices (though that takes a long time); but with the Echo you can't even arm/disarm it.

Nice wireless feature in a camera

I got this camera to watch the back porch of my house, which I can then link in to the rest of my Arlo system. I had no cables or cords running out there, so wireless was an absolutely necessary feature. So far so good, camera and picture quality are great and working as described.

Pretty easy to setup and very flexible, to add more cameras. Compact and very good video display. The app was pretty good and easy to setup. Would have given it 5 stars, except the fact you have to get a subscription to be able to have option to select, people , vs. cars and animals. Also tends to loose the wireless pairing connection at times for some reason, but typically recovers even when the hub is reporting good status.

Nice quality. Video is clear. Spotlight is a nice extra. Shouldn't have to purchase a plan though. I didnt realize that. The other cameras its optional. Siren takes about 6 to 8 seconds after motion trigger to sound.
