The pros outweigh the cons big in this truly 100% wireless headset. With the help of the new windows sonic for headphones which is free on Xbox one. This gives you a surround sound audio of virtual 7.1 surround sound. If you prefer a more spacial sound you can pay for the dolby atmos for headphones on xbox which is just a couple notches above windows sonic but well worth the $12. This headset is pretty great. I play Ghost Recon and COD and i must say these things give you incredible sound and can be tailored (pc needed). With your pc u can adjust the sound to your liking or just import other players sound setting for fps’s or rpg’s or whatever your into. I have tinkered with mine on my own as well as well as imported other setting from other players. It has quality sound, a great mic (friends say i am very clear) and is just a touch above (in my opinion) the turtle beach stealth 700 that came out in the same time frame. I have both, i would recommend these over the TB 700 but if you are looking for easiest set up with just an app to make small changes to your listening then i would go with the TB 700. If you are serious about gaming and want a great mic and the ability to modify the sounds to what more important to you like footsteps preset, an rpg preset and may just an arcade style preset, you can do that. The astro feels a bit more solid that the TB 700 and is pretty comfy. Neither one weighs a lot so extended sessions are not and issue and i have not run out of battery on either one. Bottom line is if you want customization for different games or play styles, go with the astro a20. This is a solid headset and offers great sound and mic and imo is better than the competition in this price range of $150.

Great headset for sound and microphone. Overall perfect, but just were not comfortable on my head. I couldn't tell in the picture when I ordered it but when it came the headpiece has a groove in it that stabbed the top of my head. Yes it was rubber, but it felt hard and heavy and the groove hurt my head. So uncomfortable I couldn't bear it anymore. I had to return.

I've gone to the store several time to change these and they would not allow me 6 weeks after purchase they stopped working. Ive purchased another same thing happened again i did not get any help. My son now owns three of these head sets and they all do not work. I'm being refused help to rectify this issue. I do not want the money back just a different or fixed head set

My wife bought this for me as a gift and I love it. The sound is perfect enough to zone everyone out. LOL. It has 3 preset options that you can choose for audio. The balance between the game audio and chat audio is great. You can adjust how loud you want the chat audio to be or vice versa. The wireless feature is a must have. No more getting stuck on wires while you play. The comfort of having these on your head is pretty good. Its cushioned for comfort. The Mic performance is good. You can actually mute and unmute your mic by flipping it up/down. Overall great audio quality and comfort. What’s not so great is the customization. Would’ve loved to see more customization.

I am enjoying the A20 headset after about 10 hours into use. My background is I have audiophile grade and gaming headsets. This headset is closest to my Astro A50's (gen one) that is why I upgraded for easier connection to Xbox one X. Below are my Pros and Cons with this headset.
Pros: Comfortable-the headset does not look comfy, but it is. The headset is semi open back with a small bit of passive noise cancelation. The earpads go over my big ears so I'm happy.
Great Sound-Use the ACC to put some good eqs on here and it shines. You can use simulated surround on xb1 with Windows Sonic or use Dolby Atmos. Also learn to balance game and chat on the headset or you will have issues.
Battery-8 hours straight and it's still going, hoping I get close to 15 hours.
Cons:low volume-not happy with this as this headset only supplies 40mm drivers and it would appear Astro tuned the volume down to increase battery life. At max volume its fine, but it's nice to go up a notch like my A50s. Just be aware if this is a big deal to you.
Microphone-it was super tough to adjust the mic to a good level and noise gate. I have multiple consoles and use a optical passthrough, I got it to work but absolutely requires ACC to tweak.
Requires Update out of box-if you are reading these, as soon you get these tether to your pc and update firmware. That will fix your issues and also a hard restart will fix most anything else that happens
Overall, this is a great headset if you can get it for 99 bucks like I paid. Any more and I would require higher volume levels for sure. Hopefully after break in the volume is a small bit louder.

I’ve put a lot of researching and planning before i purchased these headphones. I’ve used other brands such as turthbeach and i have to admit that these knock turtle beaches out the park. These A20 had little to no lag and did not lose feed or cut off at all after a lengthy game. The structure may seem a lot less cheap than the turtle beach brand but they are a lot more comfortable than my x420 turtle beaches. (Which tend to strain my ears after a while) So if your into sound quality and comfort , go with these babies. They do not disappoint.

Have tried pretty much all of the ither headset out there trying to find a decent wireless model for xbox that didnt have commection issues. Have used the turtle beaches as well as the more expensive a50. For half the price of the a50 these cant be beat. Amazing sound using dolby atmos for xbox clear no hissing or interference and awesome battery life to go with it

Great true wireless headset for the price. Especially after getting it on sale. Feels durable. First Astro headset that I purchased. Will see if reviews hold true. Mic seems good. Sound is clear as well. Definitely helps with certain FPS games “Battle Royal”. Waiting to try on PlayerUnknown BattleGround. Comfortable fit on ears. Easy to set up to XBox One.

I was looking for a good headset and mic to work with my xbox one x. I have been spoiled when it comes to sound quality because I use Bose QC 3, have a 5.1 surround system at home that I configured myself and didn’t know what to expect when I was buying. I was really thinking of buying another headset as this store demo for the Astro a20 was not working, so it was truly a gamble. I ordered another headset from another vendor but it would reach me in 3 days. After comparing this with turtle-beach stealth 700 when I got that, on sound quality, quality of mic and comfort I chose this headset over turtle-beach and returned the turtle beach.
These are good headsets for you if you like the three aspects that I listed above and you will not feel bad after buying them. Happy shopping!!!

My buddy and I both picked up these Astro A20’s after hearing lots of hype about astros and wanting a wireless headset. In game this headset makes such a difference. I clean head directional footsteps and gunfire which improves my gameplay. The fact that they’re wireless allows me to leave my controller and get up to refill my drink or what not without carrying my controller or ripping my headset off. The mic on this is also such a step up. My only complaint about this headset is that I had to pay $10.00 more for it because all they had was the special call of duty edition. Not the regular green set.

After breaking my old pair, I did a lot of research on what everyone has been buying lately. I knew this was a price I was comfortable spending and it paid off! Great sound and volume level. When you download the free tuning app, you can have up to 3 different EQ settings that you upload to the headset. Once uploaded, you can easily switch between the different ones by pressing the button on the headset. I play with more bass so I found some great YouTube videos on that. The mic itself is a quick on/off swivel piece for quick toggle. Comfortable on the head, well padded, and snug fit. Takes a couple wears to adjust to your liking but they fit secure. Battery lasts me about 3 days of gaming, about 12-15 hours without having to recharge. From what my friends have told me, the mic is pretty loud and clear. I pretty much have to switch the mic off if there’s anything at all I don’t want them to hear! I can’t vouch for other games but Modern Warfare is about all I play and it takes some tinkering to adjust all your audio settings. Once done however you can get some great quality sounds. You can adjust between game sounds and chat sounds on the headset itself. For me, it’s perfect for what I do. Casual gaming and great quality. I would say the only reason to bump to a higher level is if you are a very serious gamer or competitive player. The technology and sound is just as good, just without a few small upgrades. I would recommend for sure!

Best headset I ever had

This is by far the best headset I’ve ever had. I have the Astro A50’s now but this is what got me hooked on the brand. In all honesty I prefer these to the A50’s as customizing the sound and such can be a pain but this is a lot simpler. It’s well made and well priced and if it wasn’t for my stupidity “I broke this headset in a silly way”, I’d still be using this headset today. The Astro A20’s are definitely a fantastic headset with great sound and a great mic. I had mine well over 2 years and it worked flawlessly over that time span. I came from a long line of turtle beach headsets that were good but didn’t provide the level of comfort I’d have liked for long gaming sessions. This is definitely a upgrade from anything turtle beach that I had previously and I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend!!

I have glasses and these headsets do not bother me when I wear them. I recently tried the Turtle Beach - Stealth 700 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset, and those were not very comfortable compared to the Astro Gaming - A20 Wireless Gaming Headset.
Also, the sound is crisp and easy to change since the controls are on the side of the headset.

Got these on sale and they’re good for the price. These are my first astros (I usually use turtle beaches) and first wireless headset and I’ve had some issues where all of a sudden my friends can’t hear me but turning the headset off and back on seems to fix the problem. I got these because the rest of my friends got them and they all like it but have the same connectivity issues. Sound quality is amazing and they’re very comfortable. They adjust easily and fit better than my turtle beaches which I needed to be just a bit smaller.

Originally bought the PS4 version (same manufacturer and model), and my son loved it. Now he has a X-Box and decided to get the same version but for X-Box. Nearly identical in all ways.
Sound is very customizable but easy to use for even young kids. The cloth type material that surrounds your ears is very, very comfortable, unlike other materials used in other headsets, but that is my opinion.
Overall, he is very happy, and notices no difference between both version headsets, besides cosmetic appearance ( the X-Box version is the Call of Duty version, only version they had).
Definitely recommend this manufacturer and model type headset for any gamer with a mid budget set in mind.

Great sound but smashes my ears and after an hour the pain is unwearable. Truly wireless which I like and the design is nice. Don’t like the cotton ear piece.
