The headphones are great however the MixAmp drops the connection every few minutes. Purchased the one with the external mix amp and they are perfect.

Okay I know that the price is kind of steep but this headset is worth it! I'm so happy I got them. I live with family and I like to game at night so its nice to be able to listen to all of the sounds in my gaming headset without disturbing anyone. They arrived sooner then estimated and were delivered in perfect condition. They look so beautiful in person the picture isn't capturing all of their awesomeness. I love the color scheme especially the blue. Sound Quality: My game play has gotten better since I started wearing these. The sound quality is great. I can tell where people are shooting me from and I'm just so much aware of my surroundings in my game. I use these with my Wii U also. Nintendo doesn't use voice chat but that doesn't reduce the quality of the sound coming through the headset. Comfort: They are very comfortable and not to heavy. When you adjust the headset to your head they are just right. I can wear them for hours and still feel like I just put them on. Other: I love that you do not have to charge the headset, and that it doesn't require batteries. Also, the mic is detachable and being able to switch the mic to your left or right side based on your personal preference is a plus.

I had the older A40's for my xbox360 for surround sound primarily for Halo 4. The sound was great in that you could pinpoint the direction of where people were shooting. When you spoke to your friends on xbox live you could hear your own voice along with others which was very nice to know how you were being heard. This new A40 comes with a much smaller (~1/3 the size) of the previous mixamp and has 3 pre settings instead of the prior 4. You CAN NOT hear your own voice when you speak to people but they do hear you and you can converse. The sound quality is better in so ways and worse in others. It's better in that the sounds are more crisp and distinctive; the foot steps are more clearly heard. It's worse in that the sounds are not as pinpoint. You get a more general sense of where people are shooting rather than knowing precisely where to look. Over all this is a decent headset which I'll be keeping. At $220, it's not the most cheapest headset but it's not the most expensive neither. I found it worth it. It had an immediate impact in improving my gameplay for Halo 5. Hope this helps you for all you Halo fans. This is the one to play Halo 5!!!!

    Missing DLC

I purchased this product a few weeks ago, it works fine and I enjoy it. I greatly prefer this headset to my last pair of TurtleBeach X41's. So why leave a one star review? This particular headset comes bundled with some downloadable content (DLC) for Halo 5. Although this was not my primary motive for purchasing this product, I was extremely disappointed to find that someone had already used the DLC code!
