This Astro Mixamp Pro TR was purchased to replace my Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS, which works fine for 7.1 surround but has hard-to-access controls and provides no chat capability on Xbox One. This Astro Mixamp Pro TR is very simple to connect and operate. It provides separate controls for game audio and chat volume levels, and I get talkback in the headset so that I’m not yelling at teammates. I originally purchased it with the Astro A40 TR headset; it sounded good. Not great. Good. I plugged in my HyperX CloudX headset to this Astro Mixamp Pro TR. It sounded significantly better and was much more comfortable. The difference was night and day. Thanks to Best Buy’s great return policy, I was able to return the headset/mixamp combo and simply buy the Astro Mixamp Pro TR to use with my existing headset. To my ears, it’s an excellent combination. The Mixamp sounds good right out of the box, but if you connect your Astro Mixamp Pro TR to your PC, you can create custom EQ settings and assign them to one of four profiles that get saved on the Astro Mixamp Pro TR. I tried tweaking the settings on my own but lack the patience or time to really get to know the controls. After exploring the astrogaming forums, I learned there’s an active community of users, and I simply downloaded some user-created EQ profiles. My advice is experiment with them. Try some out. You’re bound to find something you like. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Simply put, this allows the headset to show the full capabilities and potential that it was created for. I mainly play FPS and immediately upon using this with my headset I saw a big difference in my gameplay. I have owned many different headsets throught the many years I have been gaming and only one ever came close to this headset with the mixamp and still this one blows that one away. Do yourself a favor and buy it if you are thinking of doing so. What are you waiting for? Do it. NOW!

Great quality product. Worth every penny. Works great for what i need it for which was to be able to hear xbox and pc at the same time.

I use the mixamp pro to Xbox one edition for my sennheiser 598se/modmic. They're perfect and it's the best headset I ever owned. That's coming from someone that can used turtle beaches and Astros since 2008 I can hear everything with detail. From footsteps to moving grass to boost jumping all in Dolby surround sound. I know exactly where they are coming from even with dead silence. If you're looking for the best headset get the ASTRO mixamp an antlion mod mic and sennheiser 598se.

Had to find a work around for my headset (Logitech G933) as it doesn't work with it as far as chat goes, but the actual sound quality improvement is pretty massive.

I use this for my Xbox one(optical cable) pc(usb port) and Nintendo switch(aux port)

The model number for this item is actually the model number for the white Xbox version. I hope this doesn't mess up orders. Best Buy really needs to correct this. Also, it's not that hard to add pictures.

I have confirmed that this is indeed the xbox one version of the mixamp pro kit. The picture is also wrong since the picture shows the model previous and not the current TR edition mixamp. So if you wan the white xbox one version of the mixamp pro TR then buy this one.
