    An Absolutely Incredible Laptop!

Please don't worry about the reviews that state that this laptop/notebook isn't big enough, or that the screen isn't wide, or that there isn't enough power to play their favorite games. Why would you buy a budget-friendly, 11-inch laptop and expect it to have the stats of high-end laptops? It's almost as if they are trying to find something to complain about! That said, this laptop is the best buy that I've ever seen out of any laptop I've purchased! Everything about it functions on a higher level. I know that Asus is known for their prowess with computer technology, but the fact they were able to add so much into a low-end laptop is insane. The screen is pleasant with a natural view setting, but this can be changed to reduce blue light, enhance colors, or allow you to customize the features. It's very lightweight and its size makes it easy to take anywhere. The keys are easy to reach, and the hotkeys offer quick responses. It is VERY good at sipping battery life while offering the highest amount of screen time from any budget or even mid-range laptop. The innovative NumberPad is nothing short of genius; it's easy to turn on and off, meaning it's there when you need it and out of the way when you don't, plus the touchpad makes the numbers very responsive while in NumberPad Mode. Project sharing is easy with the 180-degree flat-laying design, and the fanless computer design means you can work anywhere and not disturb anyone while you make progress. It even has helpful tools such as a built-in snippet tool, HDMI connection, Type-C connection, and two USB connections. In conclusion, anything short of gaming is perfect to do with this laptop, and you'd be hard-pressed to find something this good for the cost (psst, it's also perfect for remote workers like me!). Make sure to take advantage of this incredible product while you can!

Please do your research before you buy this laptop and then complain that it has Windows 11 S Mode. It does indeed ship with W11 S Mode, but it is very simple to "upgrade" to Windows 10 by using Windows 10 Update Assistant. It will easily install via this tool and converts it to Windows 10 Home while still recognizing the Windows pre-installed license. This is a fantastic laptop for the sale price of $130. I did notice some compatibility issues with Windows 11 and it appears to be much more snappier on Windows 10. Don't expect to do any gaming on this unless you are streaming via GeForce Now or Xbox Cloud. This is a perfect laptop for an IT professional who needs a small unit to travel with, a college student who needs something for Microsoft Office & basic tasks or just a casual user that doesn't need high specs. This laptop has an NVMe SSD 2280 slot that is upgradable that supports up to 512GB, but a user has reported 1 TB's work just fine. I installed a 512GB and it recognized it right away after pulling up Disk Management. Keep in mind even though it appears to be on the product page, this laptop does not have a micro SD slot, but you will have the ability to add storage with the NVMe. I really have no complaints at this price point especially after changing over to Windows 10 and adding an 512gb SSD. This thing is barely 2 pounds and it's crazy portable.

I purchased this online back in May when it was on sale for under $150.00 it's primary use is for streaming movies and television shows and occasional light gaming. It's excellent as far as battery life, you can go almost three to four hours before you get to 70%. The speakers are horrible but if you pair it with laptop/computer speakers, than you have a nice small, easy to carry and affordable entertainment viewing better than any large tablet.

Got this because I needed a 'beater' laptop to use in and out of the house without worrying about it too much. I only really use it to browse and occasionally stream Pros: - Battery life is quite good, when unplugged it says about 4.5 hours left on 'best performance'. For me that's more than enough (haven't had a chance to test it on battery saver yet) -Size and Weight: it's very light and can easily hold in one hand. I also like that you can have it push the screen all the way back so that the laptop is flat -Gaming (?): Kind of...you can play REALLY old games well like SimCity 3000, Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005), COD 4 Modern Warfare, etc. I was able to stream Apex Legends quite well from my desktop, however because of the small screen/resolution it made it a bit difficult to play. -Keyboard: I was surprised by this keyboard, I prefer typing on it compared to my other laptop (Razer Blade 15) -Mine came with Windows 11S which I was able to get out of easily and then I downgraded to Windows 10 (home) with no problem Cons -Screen: Viewing angle is pretty awful. It seems like it ran very blue light-y out of the box. Also not sure if it is me but the color orange seems to not show well, that's how blue it is overall if that makes sense. I ran the Windows color calibration and had to turn the contrast all the way down because everything looked very grey and washed out. -Touchpad: not really a huge con but sometimes I hit the calculator symbol on the top right and the touchpad activates the 'virtual' numpad so I end up typing a bunch of random numbers instead of clicking. -Streaming/busy webpages: Like streaming Twitch for example, if chat is open it kind of lags the video stream (using Chrome) a little. Not too bad but sometimes the jitters. Overall like others have said, it's great for browsing & emails but that's about it!

Cheap. Not built for gaming. I bought it to use as a home server, but the internal storage barely fits the OS on it. If you are to buy this for anything, I would recommend upgrading the storage immediately after setting it up.

I'm an old school computer user; started with MS DOS, programming as a teenager, etc. As an adult, I moved away from computers ten years ago and moved to my smartphone and tablets. I recently made the decision to pick up a cheap Windows laptop to do my taxes and some streaming. This little laptop seemed to fit the bill, so I purchased it. Initial impressions were quite good and sturdy. Its build quality is light years ahead of the old laptops I used in the 2000s. The keyboard is excellent, the trackpad is nice and big (the built in keyboard is a novelty feature) and the display is fine. The barrel power connector was one of the reasons I picked this laptop because living in a household with four kids, usb-c cables disappear quickly. I turned the unit on, and sat while the system updated. No biggie there. I registered with Microsoft, and Asus. No problems there. I looked at the documentation that came with the laptop and ASUS says it comes with a one year accident protection plan, as well as an 90 days extended warranty if I registered. I was very excited about this, however when I attempted to register for these services I was sent an email explaining that the reseller I purchased the laptop from was ineligible for this promotion and I could buy an accident protection warranty from them. Bummer. The extra 90 day warranty was also useless, because it stated my warranty expired on 12/25/22; not even a year after I purchased and registered the laptop. I don't understand why ASUS would include this with the laptop if they werent going to abide by it. Windows 11 looks very nice, but very dumbed down compared to older versions of Windows. I knew 4gb of RAM might pose a problem (my last computer from 2010 had 8gb), but I figured since I was only planning on doing taxes and streaming it would be fine. The 64gb storage wasnt an issue for me either, because of my said plans. After installing updates, etc, I was left with around 34-37gb of space. There is no micro-sd card. There are a couple USB ports, so a flash drive could be used, I guess. I didnt expect great performance, but I wasnt expecting this thing to be as bad as it is. I click on an icon, and wait. A few seconds later, I click the icon again because I think maybe I didn't click it. Suddenly, a couple windows will open up. I've tinkered with my kids' chromebooks and its a completely different experience. They are much faster and more responsive. A chromebook would have probably fit my needs a lot better. I did run a speed test of the eMMC drive in this machine, and that most likely is the bottleneck of this device. The read / write speeds are quite slow compared to modern SSDs. In theory, this device does have an m.2 slot in which you could install a real SSD drive. The problem for me is, if I wanted to invest the additional money in the SSD drive, I would have just spent more on a better laptop. In conclusion, this laptop looks really great, but in the end performance is awful; and performance is more important than looks.

      Dear Valued Customer,

      Thank you for your comment.

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if it didn't meet your expectations.

On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product, will agree with that it is a decent entry-level laptop that runs popular basic or light computing applications, without compromising system stability and performance as long as Windows is up to date and internet service is stable while accessing web applications. Regarding your concern with the storage space. There is an ample amount of storage space in order to run WINDOWS and popular software or applications efficiently. However, since cumulative WINDOWS Update is being released periodically, additional third-party software being installed, and the OS file size becomes bigger with files being added, the space available may be limited. This can easily be resolved by using an external USB device for saving documents, photos or videos, and for installing third-party applications. The C drive will be mainly use for WINDOWS Update installation. For detailed instruction on how to do this, please go visit Microsoft's Knowledge Base.

Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.

If you want a simple computer this is a good one. There are a few caveats. It is underpowered compared to a computer with a intel core i3 computer. It comes with wind 10 in safe mode, which allow one to install app from the Microsoft Soft Store, similar to an app stored. If you want to you can enable full windows 10, but it is underpower for that. Think of towing a big trailer with a compact car. Good secondary computer. I am truly stunned by the laptop! I was not expecting such a high-quality device for the price. However, once I received the package and used the laptop for 2 months now, I had to leave this rating. I had purchased this laptop for my college and wanted something that is portable to fit on small desks along with your notebook, calculator, etc. This laptop does the trick. Not only the size, but the performance is amazing. My requirement for the laptop is to use all the Office programs, use Python (Anaconda), and R (R-Studio). This lappy does all of it without any hesitation. I can boot the laptop after shutting down fast and start-up any program without any delay. I even prefer to use this lappy even when I am at home since it beats my bigger laptop and desktop in performance and battery life (I also like no fan noise and no heat on this laptop). As for the 64gb storage, even after installing/downloading Office, Chrome, Python, Zoom, eBooks, and many college files, I have ample storage left. I don't see I will be out of space. As for the hardware itself, the laptop and cable that came with my purchase are high quality. The chassis of the laptop is durable and well-made. I haven't seen any imperfections. The cable is perfect size and great for traveling. The charging speed is also great. You get fast charging and great battery life!

Look this laptop works for me, but I needed it for a specific reason. Its not good enough to be an everyday laptop, but for the price, it can be a great backup. Too small for a kid to learn on IMO. Its perfect for my needs as a quick trip laptop when i need basic amenities while on business trips - but only that. Cant go wrong with price though.

My laptop crashed in the middle of a design project and I needed a new right away. I bought this without much research on the brand, specs, etc. I have been very pleased however with the quality and function. The screen is kind of small in general, and can be difficult for very detailed activities , but it is still useful for regular internet activity. There is not much memory, so adding adobe suite has slowed it down drastically. Overall, for the price, I am very happy with this laptop.

I don't think most people realize that there is an unpopulated NVME drive slot inside that is sized for a 2280 ssd. It's bootable so you can install an OS on it. I prefer Linux and it works very well. The onboard eMMC storage benchmarks at around 250 Mega Bytes/sec while the NVME drive clocks in at 1.7 Giga Bytes/sec, 7 times faster and at 1/10th the access time. Big difference. This makes the laptop so much more useful and at the sale price of $150 a real value. It's still a low power processor but that gives better battery life. Screen and camera are the biggest downside but you get used to the screen after a while and you can always use the full size hdmi socket to hook up a monitor. Great budget laptop just don't expect too much. The wifi card can be changed with something else in case you're using Linux and don't want to rebuild the drivers with every kernel update.

Paid 129 for it and at that price it’s a steal. I would not recommend this at normal price. I used the markdown to add an nvme drive into laptop. For very basic tasks this is a great laptop. Very portable and light. One con is 4gigs of ram. I converted it to Linux as windows is too bloated for me to run on 4 gbs.
