Amazing extension considering I'm always far from my router, definitely recommend.

The Asus Ai Mesh system is fantastic. Setting up the Ai Mesh nodes in the app is incredibly simple. I have 2 Mesh nodes, one is another router, connected to my main Asus router. This small Mesh node is perfect for places where another router won’t work. The other node is connected via Ethernet but this one is connected wirelessly. Both incredibly easy to set up, literally plugged them in and scanned with the app. Both were found within seconds. You can also see what is connected to each device. Also doing a firmware update will check each device individually. So you may have a firmware update on just one device. Well thought out and incredibly easy to not only set up but to control. By far the best routers I have ever used and I switched to Asus from a Nighthawk. It’s incredible to be able to build your own mesh network with components of your choosing. This node extends wifi to my backyard and does a great job blanketing the yard, signal is fantastic.

Used this an AiMesh node along with a RT-AC68R as the primary. Had to upgrade the firmware but that is a must when using as a mesh node. Works great and now we have seamless coverage in the garage and on the patio.

Connects with my Asus router, and provides me with the extra range i need for the house, yard, and garage!

This is the second one I added. Very easy setup and handles my excess devices and camera very smoothly.

Was a pain in the butt to initially set up. Got it working by connecting an ethernet cable directly from my router to the range extender with power and configuring was easy using the ASUS router app. I am really glad I purchased it no dead zones.

Most consumers don't realize these devices use the same channel as the main router to run in AiMesh mode. This is normal with Wifi; however, even with an ethernet backhaul you can't manually change the device channel. I get about 250mbps up and down throughput with no interference in AiMesh mode. In access point mode I get around 700mbps up and down. Since AiMesh mode is garbage even in 9/2022 (until they release firmware to allow ethernet backhaul users to separate extender channels) I would pass on this and just get a cheaper access point that will perform the same.

It was very easy to connect to AiMesh router using the ASUS Router app. I did not have to put anything into the device. The router app found it and in short time it was connected. It was very useful when the TV would not stay connected wirelessly. The device has an Ethernet port so I just plugged it in behind my smart TV and connected an Ethernet cable to the device and plugged into the TV into the Ethernet port on the TV so I had the TV smart hub working again. It also gave an excellent WiFi signal where the signal was weak in one room.

Works great! Through walls and ceiling, no dropping et al. Extremely easy to install and set up. I've had lots of ASUS items over the years and they haven't failed me yet.

Super easy to add to your home system. I have other nodes and this one takes the prize. Yes, it is on the pricier side but well worth the extra money. Also, the device works wonderfully. No dead zones or latency periods. As a matter of fact, it works so well that I may have to upgrade my modem now.

Works great! The server is on one side of the house, bedroom and office on the other side. The WiFi on that side was slower and got dropped once or twice a day. Installed the extender, very easy to set up. Now it’s a little faster and haven’t been dropped since.

Perfect add on for my xt8 mesh. Had a dead spot next to my porch and this has greatly improved my coverage outside. Almost 200 down on a 800 service about 70 feet away from main router and 20 feet away from this.

Bought this to expand an existing Asus mesh wifi home network. Integration was seamless. Very quick setup. Product has been so far reliable with no issues to note.
