We just upgraded for very old Alienware systems we have had Asus laptops for years and always had great performance from them and decided to try these desktops and all I can say is wow awesome system runs everything I through at it Modern Warfare and Battlefield 4 also Rise of the tomb raider at max graphics and its like the PC says is that all you got !! its just awesome yea they cheeped out on the keyboard and mouse also I would suggest upgrading the ram although the factory ram was fine we upgrade ours to 32 gig vengeance pro and it is just insane very satisfied with our purchase.

Haven’t owned it long but I’m enjoying every moment of use. The entire family can use it and when anyone wants to play some demanding games the device can handle it with ease. Simple setup and easy to get up and running. Currently ranked as a UFO on pcbenchmark. I recommend it if you can catch it on sale.

I normally build my gaming systems but i could not for the price of this turn key computer. It has never over heated. It is extremely quite. It looks great. It is likely major upgrades are not available without knowing more about the board as Best Buy nor ASUS has any information about it. Not sure it needs to be upgraded you can max the graphics settings and play at 200mhz all day long. Plenty of USB ports

As soon as I unboxed it and set it up I was amazed at how great it ran my games graphics were unbelievable. This is my second Asus gaming computer my other one is four years old it was just getting a little long in the tooth and couldn’t handle the graphics of the newer games. I would definitely recommend Asus gaming computers I’ve had nothing but great results from both of them

The computer runs fast and smooth. The start time is awesome and the graphics are amazing. The frames per second are extremely high even when I play a fast paced game or another game with high quality graphics. The case light customization is pretty cool too. The inside of the tower is neat and organized. It also has a SD card reader and hot swap-able bay: along with many USB ports some of which are 3.0. Some downers are that its a micro tower and its processor is an i7, also the power supply is probably not the best either but that is easily replaced.

Bought this machine to replace an aging Dell desktop after doing a ton of research on current-gen gaming rigs. Considered building my own but the specs on this desktop were too good for the on-sale price of $1499 back when this was originally $1999 full-price. Would have been a little cheaper to build my own but I figured that wasn't worth the extra work and pulled the trigger. Night and day difference between this rig and my old Dell. Been running great for almost 2 months now. Pros +Sleek design with some nice RGB. +RTX 2080 has handled every game I've thrown at it on ultra at 60 fps on a 1080p 144hz monitor. +SSD loads things much faster than the one in my old desktop. Wish it had more space but I'll throw in another one eventually. +Great cable management. Everything was connected and properly secured, this PC is plug and play. Neutral >Barely breaks a sweat with most of the games I play (RL/Warband) but Civilization 6 and Total War WH2 can get the fans pretty loud. No issue if you use headphones but it may distract you if you prefer to use external speakers. Still much quieter than the AW Aurora I tried out in the store though. >Multicolored cables were used and stick out. Doesn't bother me but if you're into aesthetics you'll probably want to replace them. Cons -Had one weird situation where I woke the PC up and the screen was distorted randomly. Restarting the desktop fixed the issue and it hasn't happened since, but still worth noting. All in all this is a great pre-built gaming machine. If you have the extra cash to pick one up you'll be able to run any game smoothly at maxed video settings. Be sure to pick up a 144hz monitor as well or you'll be bottlenecking the power this rig has. I'm sure it'll develop quirks over the years like my old machine did, but I'm looking forward to many years of great graphics and smooth gameplay ahead.

This Desktop is loaded with power. Rtx 2080, i7 9700k. Now the issues. ACBEL power supply. That's not a good one. Sky Hynix ram without a heatsink. Good brand with basement bottom features for a high end desktop. Cramped case and would be hard to upgrade. Beautiful water cooler and RGB. I couldn't get past the cheapo parts used to pay for the CPU and GPU. Then you add the cpu doesn't hyper thread? I returned and bout another PC from Best Buy that I love. This is not a bad gaming PC but you can do better.

We bought this for my 16 year old son to play games online. He says it's a good system. He is able to play the most system demanding games over 100 fps on the highest graphic settings. Recommended for any type of gaming, but it will get the job done. It is even remarkably capable of streaming at a stable 60 fps 1440p. Good purchase! :D

I upgraded the processor and graphics card, but even out of the box this is a pretty good rig. I just wanted to future proof as much as possible. Games run really well.

Great PC and all in terms of performance I guess and having the main components being "high-end" however, its disappointing that ASUS went with a single fan version of the 2080 here which doing some research, found that its a "Turbo" RTX 2080, whatever that means. However, it might be a good thing considering I haven't played any games yet that have caused the card to exceed 80 degrees C with the onboard Armory Crate software from the manufacturer. They definitely used a cheap RAM card for this model, probably to save money which is okay, but they could have done better. The cable management could have better on this, with all things considered the Tower is a little small if you want to make any upgrades but overall is a good PC. I did have out of the box crashes when attempting to play a few games, however, I cannot fully determine if this was a game issue or PC issue. One issue I have for BestBuy however, is that at the store I purchased from, this computer was connected to an Asus monitor that is NOT G-Sync Compatible, and I was told it was because after setting everything up, and going into the graphics settings, the monitor was not listed as compatible with g-sync. If you are not computer savvy, I recommend searching anything you can about the computer and seeing if anyone else has success with overclocking, or using good software for testing. I found the BIOS to not enable overclocking, I had to download another app in order to do that. I would also suggest the BestBuy have a better parts listing for their PCs as I had to again use other software to find the make and model for example of the exact motherboard, RAM cards, GPU. It takes some research figuring out what you can actually upgrade with compatible parts for this PC since they don't accurate list them on the specifications. All in all, getting this PC for $1499 is a stupid steal, so if it goes on sale again, don't hesitate, maybe you can take the money saved and upgrade a few things on the computer.

I just received the computer today and it has been extremely fast and working great! This computer does go on sale quite often so keep an eye out, but even if you don't catch it on sale, the price is still really good for a pre-built like this. If you are willing to go for a high-end computer this is a great choice. I will say however invest in a better keyboard and mouse. The Keyboard and mouse it comes with feels cheaply made but it's supposed to just get you through until you get a better one.

I've had this computer for nearly a year. I was extremely skeptical at first because I prefer custom built computers. I bought this computer at the start of COVID and have been using it for 50+ hours a week. With confidence, I can say that this computer is a beast. I am so glad I bought this. Games run so smoothly on maximum graphics. I play games like GW2 and BDO, and they run beautifully. I would absolutely recommend this computer to anyone!

My new Asus GL12CX Gaming Desk top is performing as advertised. The stock speed of the i7 9700K processor is given as 3.6 GHz. With turbo mode, I typically see speeds of 4.6 and 4.7 GHz. Frame rates in Microsoft Flight sim have increased from 15 to 20 frames per second (fps) to 40 to 60 fps. So far it has been very smooth running with no glitches. I highly recommend this computer.

I was looking to upgrade my 8 year old PC and was deciding between building one and buying a pre-built system. Pricing it out, this one saved me a lot of money over building one especially since it was on sale when bought it. It works great for games. The only issue I have been having is that the lights stay on when I shut down the computer. Still playing with the settings to fix that issue.

I would have given 5 stars had I not had a issue with tech support. The computer itself is blazing fast. Both in booting up and performance. I had a question for tech support which was answered only partially and that took better than a week of back and forth in e-mails with 4 possibly 5 different reps and 5 different answers and only 1 of those got me me halfway to solving my problem of which I (after a fashion) figured out myself. Hopefully I will not have any major issues. As far as the computer itself, barring issues, I would recommend this machine.

I bought this for its graphics card and plethora of USB ports, as I don't do gaming. Both are doing what I need them to do. The nice, sleek look doesn't hurt, of course.

Love the computer so far but the only downside is that it comes with a very old style keyboard and mouse with no rgb.

Had minor issues picking it up from the store because of the CORVID-19 stuff going on, but I was able to order it online and get it shipped to my house in two days. I've been using it to stream and run high-end games like Star Citizen. Great PC for the money. I highly recommend the ASUS brand!
