Customers consistently note the ROG Flow Z13's strong performance and portability, praising its ability to handle demanding tasks and games in a compact form factor. However, a common complaint centers around the device's battery life, which many users find insufficient, especially during gaming sessions. The powerful GPU is also frequently highlighted as a positive aspect.

In short, worth the wait and price. Runs games with ease mostly on max graphics settings. The keyboard is pleasant to type on even being a smaller size than normal. Touch screen is responsive. The pen(not included) is a little bit finicky but can do mild design work and write with it. Battery life is horrendous, but I have no use that requires all mobile work. The included adaptor is gold for this computer. Do not lose it. There are no available replacements for the power adaptor, and without it you cant use Turbo mode. Although you can use other 100+w adaptors on Performance mode. 16gb of RAM is plenty. 8GB of GDDR RAM is plenty too. I run AutoDesk and play games occasionally. Screen is bright and clear. A bit of a dust magnet. Overall, I have no regrets on my purchase. Very worthy machine. Microsoft Surface doesnt even compare, especially when their highest offering doesnt get close to the parts in this machine and is still extra price on top. Dollar per performance this tablet is unbeatable.

If you’re a fan of the Microsoft surface tablets but need a power house then this is the tablet for you. I loved my surface pro 3 used it for years until I sold it to a friend of mine which he still uses. When I first saw this I instantly wanted it. I don’t know how the durability of it will be in the long run since I like to keep my devices for years so only time will tell with this device. So far it has been great for running any game on pretty much max graphics with its i9 and 4060 graphics card. Although they’rethe laptop variant, they still kick but. The keyboard is great feels like the surface keyboard so it is a little bendy, I prefer my mechanical keyboard with it. And for sound it gets a bit noisy but not too bad, and battery was okay what you expect from a laptop especially when pushing it to the limits. If you have the cash or get it on sale with a gift card like I did then go for it!

The i9 in here is super fast, some of the highest benchmarks compared to other laptops. The 4060 gpu is 65w, but benchmarks similarly to some 4070’s in thin-and-light laptops. In typical ASUS fashion, hardware performs as good as it looks, and Armory Crate makes perf profile swapping super easy. I also installed G-helper for undervolting and overclocking.
I also used an Elago magnetic stand + Nillkin SnapHold Plus ring magnet to elevate the Z13 into a mini iMac desktop. (You can find these on Amazon). And I use a “Microsoft Designer” Bluetooth keyboard to complete this desktop setup.

its good, plays everything well, battery dont last long cus its got 2 power sucking chips in there, its normal with the performance there is always a trade off. you can manage it and put it into power saving mode and get like 8 hrs browsing.. but design is sleek and futuristic.
One complaint about best buy itself, in the listing its speced as a 4080, and as a result you get a key for a game as a bundle? why is it hard to fix? few clicks away, im not the first to bring this up, the code only works on 4070 and up cards, this is a 4060 model.. why make people be disapointed right out of the gate for no reason thinking they get an extra free game with this purchase, or be confused that this thing has a 4080. a little careless.

Well ill start with the dislikes….. there arent any to speak of really. If you travel, like to move around your area, enjoy a game or movie in bed this is for you! even if you are not a hardcore gamer this packs a punch can handle anything you can throw at it, sports the most current gen tech, and is highly versitle and portable. i am hetting used to windows 11 in touch screen (apple ipad convert) and honestly its so easy. The keyboard is nice and more sturdy than surface pro. I use a small LG wireless mouse and added a 512GB SD card for files photos and junk. The 1TB ssd is great for a few AAA games and you can be productive with college or other admin work. There are ways to extend the battery by lowering profiles, tirning off lights ect i recommed this product and would advise looking at youtube for the reviews and tweeks. Just click purchase ans count the moments down to when you can get your hands on it. Enjoy thanks for reading my review. PS it doesnt come woth the pen so im also in the market for that.

You will spend countless hours looking for an alternative, you simply won't find it. The Z13 is a one of a class! amazing power, amazing portability! Yeah battery life could be better but for the power it packs it's totally acceptable. 165 refresh rate looks amazing when playing games, adjust battery settings to get a full 6 hour video playback! all in all an amazing system! I bought the 13900h and 4060 version and i can say it runs the games i play very well. Mainly Destiny 2. Itll play on highest setting but i play on low to lowest for temps. It does get warm/hot when gaming for an hour plus. Armory crate set to manual mode and fans at 100% helps a lot. Noisy? Sure but thats gaming and for the form factor its not bad and a set of airpods or your youset on you wont notice it. I do recommend you know your way around a PC and windows to make some quailty of life changes to keep temps lower and free up some ram, z13 comes with a ton of bloat! Solid unit if you dont want the size of a laptop when taveling.

First and last time purchasing an Asus product. Do yourself a favor and just get a surface tablet instead. The surface doesn't have the specs this has but specs are useless if it isn't reliable. It freezes every two minutes and goes into blue screen needs to be restarted, it's constantly saying the fan inputs are blocked but they aren't and will not connect to USB4/TB4 devices. Some programs I try to open immediately blue screen the tablet every time. Asus keeps telling me to contact Best Buy and Best Buy tells me to contact Asus. Have only had this for two months and it's worthless and Asus is no help.

I don't recommend it at all, it gets too hot and once you do that the screen starts to freeze. I took it to geek squad and everything seems to be in order but it keeps failing me, the truth is I don't understand what is happening if I use it with Online and I try to use Discord it happens too fast if it is a game like Red Dead at most It lasts two hours While playing I think that even the SSD is going to be damaged since it takes out Windows later as if it were damaged and I reinstalled it several times.. Basically I don't recommend buying it, you will lose your money.

Great device with a fatal flaw

This device is definitely a great competitor to the surface from a gaming perspective. There is a big flaw that many don't talk about and it's about the mics. When playing online the fans ramp up and block the your voice when attempting to talk to others. None of the "ai" settings in the computer helped. Of course you could use headphones but for this price the mics should work with no issue.

Overall love this tablet

The screen is impressive. Although I wish there was a 2024 model with an OLED, the LCD display is very nice. At 1600p, it’s sharp and not too difficult for the 4060 to handle. The speakers are slightly lacking; they are loud enough and sound decent, but a larger grille could improve their acoustic performance. The positioning is also suboptimal, as the bottom-side placement makes it easy to cover the smaller speaker ports with your hands when holding the device. Forward-firing speakers from the front center of the screen would be a significant improvement.
The build quality is excellent. The kickstand hinge is sturdy and wide, similar to the Microsoft Surface, and the aluminum (or some alloy) chassis feels nice and sturdy. However, any flexion on the screen causes a squeaking sound, which, while infrequent, is noteworthy. The keyboard is very pleasant to type on, comparable to, if not better than, my previous MacBook Air. The backlighting is bright enough, and although the trackpad could be larger, it feels nice and is overall acceptable.
The device’s performance exceeds my expectations considering its size. While I wish they offered the 4070 in the standard chassis (the acrynm wasn’t in stock anyway), the i9 and 4060 handle gaming and computationally intense tasks quite well. The battery life is poor but expected, especially coming from my M2 MacBook Air. I bought the device knowing the battery life wasn’t the longest. Disabling the dGPU and using silent mode yields acceptable results; I have spent several hours watching Netflix on battery, usually lasting over 4 hours. In silent mode, I’m not even sure if the fans turn on while watching Netflix. When gaming, I use headphones, so the sound doesn’t bother me, but even without headphones, the noise is tolerable, considering the performance packed into such a small chassis.
**Side Notes:**
The back window with RGB is super cool. I usually set it and the keyboard to a Logitech blue, though I keep the back RGB LEDs disabled to save battery since I don’t see them anyway.
There is a new Asus pen compatible with this device, though it’s overpriced at $100 and out of stock. Instead, I purchased a Lenovo Precision Pen 2 because it’s USB-C charged and received good reviews on Reddit. It’s also compatible with the MPP 2.0 protocol this device uses.
The included 130W charger is the only way to get the most performance out of turbo mode. No other high-wattage USB-C PD charger will do 130W over 15V. Asus now makes a 140W GaN charger that outputs full power for this device, but it’s frequently out of stock and costs around $100.

It’s not a tablet - it doesn’t have the battery life or silence for that - but it’s ultra portable and intuitive like one. It’s not a gaming laptop - it doesn’t throttle thermally or burn your lap or hands on the keyboard - but it does run games like one. Overall I have found a device that actually nails “portable gaming” and is in a class of its own. Gaming tablet? Power tablet? The point is, if you’re looking for power gaming on the go, this is a great choice

a powerful all-purpose computer in a compact 13-inch tablet form factor. In fact, it's significantly more powerful in this 2023 update than the previous generation, and offers a display that's better suited for everyday use, creative work, and gaming. Just make sure the format is right for you, and that the middling battery life suffices your needs. Well built and compact for what it is. Good keyboard folio and typing experience. Excellently balanced QHD+ display. Notably more powerful than the previous generation with demanding loads and games. Good thermals and quiet fans.

I was hesitant to buy the tablet due to the expensive price but now I couldn’t live without it. Performance is great with normal day task and gaming. When gaming you will need to be plugged in to receive maximum performance . The battery life is not great while playing the games but is ok when in eco mode(only using integrated graphics). The ram is less to be desired but not something I’ve had an issue with but does need to be monitored. Also I mostly use this as a tablet or on a tablet doc.
Also note there is a lack of accessory for this device.

Best Buy advertised as "excellent" condition open box and it came without a power cord and the keyboard was faulty, so was definitely overcharged since it was listed incorrectly and they said "there's nothing we can do" and just wanted to cancel my order instead of price adjusting.
That all said, the product it's self is AMAZING- the detachable keyboard making it a tablet (which in my case I have no keyboard since it came broken) is very convenient. I love being able to play things like Hearthstone on it with touchscreen. The battery life is kind of bad expectedly since it's such a powerhouse- but luckily I don't really need it on the go in ways I can't just keep it plugged in. Really happy with this device though and hope when it eventually dies Asus continues to make newer versions with the detachable keyboard style.

Highly recommended. This has replaced most of my devices. I have a Legion Go and an ROG Zephyrus 16” with a 4090 and the FLlow z13 seems to be a perfect compromise between the two, giving plenty of performance while being as compact as something with a 4060 can be. Sure, it’s not a full on handheld, but for the convenience of having this thing to play in bed comfortably, it’s amazing for the price if you can get it on sale.
