Nice compact gaming desktop

Pros:
+ It has the latest hardware, so it can run any game without hassle.
+ Great design and beautiful looking case.
+ Lots of connection ports including DVI, HDMI, Display Port, USB
+ Despite the compact size, it runs silent at normal usage.
+ If you are not gaming, you can easily disable the external graphics card and work with the on board graphics card. This makes the machine run very silent.
Cons:
- The case is not easy to open and modify the components.
- This version comes without an SSD. But I don't think it is necessary, since the 7200rpm harddisk does the job well.
- The GPU can get warm while heavy gaming, but still runs at high performance.
- Bulky adaptor and lots of cables.

Solid speed and graphics. Very dependable, which is a huge plus given my luck with computers. Would have liked a solid state HD in store, but no luck.

I was concerned about the outboard power supply but it's not an issue. The core 7 and 1070 video card have my Train Simulator doing 65-85 fps with all the settings on high!

If I try to put together this pc buying separate each piece would be super expensive. This is a super deal for power +designe plus GTX invidia 1070 is more that I need for any VR performance, wich is mainly for what I got it for.

I've had this pc for about 6 months now. Good budget pc for high end if you don't want to build the unit yourself. All games run over 100fps including rust, ark, planet coaster. Other low end games I.e. CS:GO runs around 250 fps. Unit does get hot at times because of the case design but has never over heated even after 16 hour straight of rigerous use.

This was a bargain considering the quality of cpu and gpu you're given. Compact size wasn't necessary, but ended up being convenient. I do have concerns about the units ability to stay cool, but temps seem to stay at reasonable levels. (Maybe im just paranoid) I did have a weird driver issue which rendered the gpu useless, but I sent it to ASUS and they repaired it free of charge, and had it back to me in about 4 weeks. Worked fine ever since.

I came from a Computer i built my self which had a Core i5 4690k, an ASUS Strix GTX 1070, 16GB of DDR3 and a ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark S (limited edition) all neatly installed into an NZXT S340 Chassis with watercooling. - This Rig was solid and could hold its own even next to all the newer gaming rigs out there! However it was HEAVY and I broke my Motherboard. It was Damaged in a way that allowed it to run, but started having problems as of late.
It was time for another Gaming rig.
So, I decided to go prebuilt this time around (even though i would rather build a PC my self.) I chose the ASUS ROG G20CB because I trust ASUS and i needed a small form factor PC or at least a more portable option- i also didnt really want to take on another build project this time around so the ROG G20 was my obvious choice!
Pros:
1.Small Form Factor -So many features in such a tightly knit unit.
2.Can game without Compromise or sometimes VERY LITTLE Compromise! Dont be afraid to turn those settings up!
3.Has Internal Bluetooth AND Internal Wifi (no need for an Antenna near the I/O port) Wifi adapter inside the ASUS ROG G20CB is Almost as fast as an ethernet connection (which really was a big awesome surprise!)
4.Has very Subtle RGB Lighting that reacts to sounds/music output. (not so obnoxious or hard on the eyes!)
5.Its Built VERY sturdy
Cons:
1. The 1TB HDD is Mechanical but for the price of all that you are getting, its ok....Mechanical HDDs are actually the cause of some performance hits that come in the form of "Pop-ins", "Stutter" and insanely long Loading times in some of the latest games (NO I AM NOT KIDDING) Get a Beefy SSD to replace the Stock HDD.
2.Quite a bit of finesse needed if you want to install an SSD to go along with the 1TB HDD that comes with it., it was the hardest thing to do so far.
3. The Graphics card (both the 1070 it came with and the 1080 that i replaced the 1070 with) run on avg under full load at about 82c (even with a custom fan curve set using afterburner) -not too happy about that.
Although I did heard from a few people that the GTX 1080 is known to run about as hot under full load anyways .even if thats the "norm". I STILL would RATHER it be somewhere in the high 60c area.
these above are the only reason i took a star off.
OVERALL:
The ROG G20CB as it is sold will get the job done and then some!
I wanted a little more SOOOO>
I ended up swapping out the GTX 1070 for an Nvidia GTX 1080 FE (an actual NVIDIA Manufactured GTX 1080 Founders Edition, not a third party card). The GTX 1080 was easiest to install over the SSD I ended up putting in but still requires a steady hand and being gentle. I ended up adding a 250GB SSD (for games like Ghost Recon Wildlands, GTA 5, and Batman Arkham Knight to hasten the texture streaming and irritating loading times in these games. This was actually incredibly difficult to do as it requires you take most of of the chassis apart. Luckily i was able to do it without damaging or even scratching anything!. It was just really hard to do. Lastly i purchased an ASUS ROG Swift PG248 Gsync enabled 24" monitor.
I STRONGLY Recommend pairing this PC with an ASUS ROG SWIFT PG248 24" Gaming display with Gsync.
Using a GSYNC Display with Refresh rates over 120 and that has a Display Port on it, is the only way to fly.
I didnt realize it, but because of the advanced nature of the GTX 1080 coupled with a high end CPU and DDR4 Ram, you are actually going to cripple your Pascal GPU with a regular HDMI connection. the 2nd Iteration of HDMI is OK (i guess) but Display port allows for the highest Framerates and Fidelity Possible.
To sum it all up:
GET AN SSD and a Gsync Monitor with higher than avg refresh rates and get a Display port connector (Ditch HDMI).
These three things will change your gaming life forever!
9/10 would buy again, but dont need to! because this thing is beast, and even more beastlier after i upgraded to a GTX 1080!

Let me start by saying that I have owned hundreds of desktops and laptops in the last 30 years starting with the Apple 2E and this beast being my latest. It was an exceptional bargain as it was open box. Although it came with nothing, not even power adapter, It was $500+ dollar discount!
The power supply was an issue since it doesn't have one built in. It uses two very large external bricks that resemble laptop chargers. One of them is dedicated to power GTX 1070 graphics card while the other powers the rest of the system. It defies logic how this machine can run so quiet and so cool in a case that seems too small to even fit the graphics card alone! But it does just that, and with ease. It never throttles gets warm and I haven't even so much as heard the fan yet. It is absolutely beautiful and I love the subtle LED illumination which is not at all in your face and overpowering like most today. This is by far the greatest machine I have ever found and will continue be my primary rigged for as long as it takes someone to match it's top-notch solid design. The bar has been set firmly in place for the foreseeable future.

I have been incredibly happy with my Asus ROG. It was incredibly easy to setup, seems to automatically know what I want to do every time I add a component or peripheral and makes those additions really simple and mostly automated. I have been extremely impressed with its capability for streaming and rendering media. A+ machine for graphics, gaming, and more.

If you are looking for a nice complete system with the bells and whistles this one works very well. I have had no issues with it at all and it runs everything nice and fast with great graphics. Power supply is a bit bulky, but that is because of the graphics card requiring the extra power which happens with high end systems anyway.

For those just beginning their research, this system comes with the 2nd-most powerful graphics card in the NVIDIA series (as of Jan. 2017), not counting crazy-expensive systems that double or triple-up on GPUs. The hard drive is... fine, with a slot available to install a SSD if you prefer. RAM is upgradable, but otherwise, you are trading a great-looking, compact PC case for a lack of ability to upgrade other components (only a problem if you want bleeding-edge power).
Already done your research,? Than I'll get to the point. Beautiful case, about the size of the XBox One. ASUS software stays out of the way, but you need some of it to customize the case LED lighting and to update the system-specific drivers (Windows Update isn't adequate for everything). BIG COMPLAIN: The OS wasn't installed with Windows 10 Anniversary Update, so I spent three hours upgrading everything before being able to actually use the computer. BUGS: While the LED case lighting is great, the customization software is bad. First, the default color is blue, not the advertised (and pre-set) red color that matches the case. Second, they give you a full color spectrum to choose from, which is actually a detriment, as it is very, very difficult to find the specific color you're looking for (again, the pre-set red takes forever to pin-point on the color spectrum). Third, the LEDs are buggy; I've had "zones" freeze up for days at a time where the color doesn't respond to changes you make. In order to get the issue fixed on a newly purchased system, it would require sending the system into ASUS for 2-3 weeks... longer than I'd owned to case at that point.
Thankfully, it hasn't been buggy for a few weeks, so I'm glad for the purchase and would recommend the system. It just had a bad first impression.

Got it on sale, wasn't able to build one spec'd out this good for the same price (even at full price) *at time of purchase.
If I did it again I would probably hold out for the better model with the nicer graphics nevertheless its been running multi-monitor gaming quietly like a champ

I decided to buy the Asus ROG G20 because it had all the specs I was looking for. It will run any game at ultra high settings and it doesn't even break a sweat! Also it is very quite. The only thing is buy an actual gaming mouse since the one that comes with it is a cheap mouse.

Great PC, Bad ASUS Support

Used this PC for 70 days without any problems, I could run GTA V at 4K 30-60FPS and any game at 1080p 60+FPS. Until the 70th day the Graphics Card Failed. PC temps were never higher then normal, never had any abnormal FPS drops. I contacted Asus support and I was told to pay out of pocket to ship it back to them so they could fix a barely two month old PC. If you are looking for a small form factor PC with the ability to play most games at high/epic settings I would recommend this PC but I would also highly recommend that you buy Geek Squad protection just so you can avoid ASUS at all cost.

As far as a pre-built desktop goes I am a huge fan of the compact monster of a machine. The main down-side people have about pre-built desktops are:
1) They are too expensive
2) They come loaded with useless and redundant programs that take up space.
I will agree with number 2, but with a quick google and some time to learn about what is actually on your desktop when you purchase you can remove and eliminate any program you do not need.
As far as pricing goes, during the time I purchased this desktop was around the time cryptocurrencies were on the rise and you could not build a desktop cheaper than what I paid for this one. I am genuinely pleased with how this computer has performed and will continue to support ASUS products in the future.
