Have been wanting to upgrade my Alienware R5 to a desktop. Buying components is a crap shoot and the pro builders charge a ton. A comparable build with the RTX3080 and i7 run north of 2400 at the minimum from a builder. Stock has gotten better but all the component prices are up.
Was able to get this on sale for $1600. No it doesn't have the best air flow and will take off like others have mentioned when under load... but was able to play games at 1440p without it being too loud. So for a decent rig at just $1600 playable out of box? Sure, its a great deal.
However... I am moving it to a better airflow case and adding an AIO cooler. I want to go quieter since my old laptop was already louder than this thing lol.
Other negative is that it is a crippled B560-G ("G15CE" instead), so the KF processor in there is not able to fully spread its wings if the desire is to OC. Shouldn't be too difficult to... modify the BIOS chip... several instructions around the web for those brave enough.
Good bones that can be reinforced and upgraded as well.
TL;DR - Decent value RTX3080/i7 build when found on sale, preferably in the $1600-1800 range. Wouldn't recommend at the $2100 non-sale price

A lot of reviews talk about cooling issues, but it's really not that bad. Yes the two fans can get loud and this case does NOT have intake fans but I am only seeing temps as high as 80C when gaming 1080p @ 360hz. My room is generally ~65F so that probably helps. There is room to add intake fans but you'd need to remove the cover and you could put in an AIO or a different CPU cooler. There is also room at the top to add fans there if you get creative.
The motherboard is an ASUS ROG STRIX B560-G, but you can not use the latest BIOS for that motherboard on it's product page. Since this is a prebuilt you have to use the BIOS from the G15CE product page which is not as up to date as the motherboard product page BIOS, and when you try to flash using the latest it will say it's not a valid file.
I did upgrade to 32GB 4400MHz RAM to get better FPS and upgraded the NVMe to a 2TB Samsung 980 PRO for more SSD storage, but the system has otherwise been amazing. I do plan on changing the stock 92mm exhaust fan out with a Noctua 92mm fan (hopefully quieter) and am looking in to CPU coolers, but this hasn't been a necessity yet as much as just having fun upgrading this prebuilt. I did try the Vetroo V5 but could not get it to install with the stock backplate, and I was too excited to play with my new NVMe drive to keep fussing with it so I just put it all back together. I will try to install it again and update later, but might just go with an AIO.

Fantastic build, powerful machine with outstanding grapics card. Would be 5 stars if not for how noisy and also poor the cooling fans are with little ability to fit aftermarket cooling due to a lack of space in the tower.

I haven't put the thing through its paces yet but wanted to just let people know this is a super machine for the money. Especially since it apparently comes with a Full Hash Rate (aka non-crippled) 3080 GPU!
How do you tell? Load the Nvidia control panel, go to Help then System Information. Scroll to the bottom of the pop up window.
FHR Device ID is 10DE 2206 xxxx xxxx
FHR Part# is G13x 0030
LHR Device ID is 10DE 2216 xxxx xxxx
LHR part# is G13x 0031
My info matches the FHR #'s. You can also go to Nice Hash and do a 'test mine' and once you do that in about 10 seconds it'll Identify your GPU . If it says nothing then it's FHR, if it adds an LHR to your GPU model # after 10 or so seconds then it's LHR. And mine didn't change, stayed 3080.
Also there are no LHR stickers or v2 designation on the GPU anywhere.
So with these 3 data points i'm 100% confident as of Nov 2021 this machine that I got shipped with a Full Hash Rate 3080.
But ya... you really need to fix the cooling it is sub-par for this CPU and GPU honestly. You need a a bigger CPU fan cooler or a 240mm radiator setup for the CPU and more air flow for the GPU.
Here are some full specs that make up this PC
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 TUF Gaming Non-OC
CPU: 11700KF
Cooler: 92mm Air Cooler on the CPU heatsink and on the rear of the case.
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B560-G
RAM: SK Hynix 16GB (2x8) 3200Mhz
PSU: 750W Gold power supply
Storage 1: 512GB SN550 NVME SSD
Storage 2: 2TB Toshiba 7200 RPM HDD
There are 2 NVMe slots according to the manual, 1 used. 4 memory slots, 2 used. There is an AIO header, a CPU fan header and two other fan headers available 3 or 4 pin accepted.

First off, the cooling in this system is as bad as the other reviewers have mentioned. There's a very small exhaust fan and one fan dedicated to the CPU cooler. Nothing else. The GPU and CPU are both incredible and require more cooling. There's not even an intake fan on this case. Adding them isn't that hard to do but you must be SUPER careful when taking apart the front of the case to add a fan. You must disconnect 4 cables and the piece that houses the power switch is EXTREMELY FRAGILE. Ask me how I know. Anyway, only allows for screwing in one intake fan. Bizarre.. but you can ziptie a second one. The top of the case doesn't allow for screwing in any fans so you're going to have to be innovative with other means to add fans up top. Other than cooling and airflow, solid price for the GPU and CPU you're getting. Actually, one more thing.. the MOBO doesn't allow for CPU overclocking which is weird because you have a unlocked processor. These are my two issues. If you're not interested in overclocking and you don't mind doing a little bit of work (CAREFULLY), this is a very solid option for a gaming computer.

It's a somewhat solid machine. Great component if properly installed.
The cpu umis really bad, it does overheat and shuts dows! There's no room whatsoever to add more fans, you have to keep the case open with a home fan pointing at it if you want to make it a playable experience. But for the price especially now with inflation of this components? I'm perfectly fine having a home fan on it. I will replace this Case and get a water cooler for this system.

As almost every review states, this unit comes with inadequate cooling components for sustained heavy loads. But if you're willing to spend ~$100 on a few more fans and a better quality cpu cooler (and void your warranty), the hardware is worth the price tag.
I followed another reviewers' suggestions and got a Vetroo V5 cpu cooler, two 120mm intake fans, a 120mm exhaust fan for the top, and replaced the loud 92mm stock exhaust fan in the back. Maintains ~80C cpu temp during intensive gaming sessions which is acceptable. Investing in a larger case would give you more options if you want better cooling, but I personally prefer the smaller case.
Check the fan settings in the BIOS as they are a bit odd. And I think, I may be wrong, that Armoury Crate likes to override BIOS settings, so be mindful of that.
Lastly, don't put this directly on carpet. The PSU intake is on the bottom and has very little clearance.

Parts were a HUGE value, especially on sale. Unfortunately, the case baffles me. I NEVER write reviews, but I felt I needed to for this.
Essentially, my review is like most I've read for this product. But I figured out a work around (scroll to bottom)
I have NEVER heard a computer make even 1/4 as much noise as this made. It's kinda like, a hair dryer on low/medium loudness. Temperature hit 95-100 c, and the load was hardly intensive for what these parts should be capable of. There's one tiny rear exhaust, and one puny cpu fan. No intake fans, no airflow, and maybe it's just me, but I couldn't find space or slots to install new fans either.
I'm ordering a new case. Still though, this pre-built is worth it, especially if you have the know-how to replant everything in a better case with some intake fans.
Work around: I managed to keep temperatures to 60-75c by changing going into windows power management, change power plan settings, limit cpu to at least 90 percent. This brought my temp from 100c, down to 70c in literally 2 seconds. I could run halo infinite on mostly ultra at 2k 70 ish fps, while rarely passing 80 c. I also had the case open to get some air in.
That should work for the foreseeable future. Hope it helps folks - I was about to panic when I saw hit 100c haha.
Ps. No asus, this was not a random event because *i* placed my pc wrong. If the case had some intake holes, or at least slots to install more fans, this would be soooo much more workable. I doubt it would have costed more either. This case is a death sentence for the parts.

This overall is a solid built desktop however it has 1 very specific issue currently that all units are shipped with. Some people may have noticed that it is turning off because it is overheating. The Bios has an issue with the Fan Curve. The Default Fan Curve is set to Standard in the Bios but the Fan Curve for it is actually supposed to be the Silent Fan Curve which doesn't kick the fans up until it reaches 72C which is too little too late because it will thermal throttle as high as 94C from what I've seen. The Silent Fan Curve in the Bios is actually the Standard Fan Curve that it should be set to. Hopefully Asus will issue a Bios Update and fix this on future iterations that are shipped out. To fix this issue, you just have to hit Delete or F2 on the Asus ROG Screen before Windows loads. Click on the Q Fan Control and then choose Silent for each of the fans. Hit Apply To and choose all of the Fans. Save and exit. Problem solved. You can also set a custom fan curve and adjust it correctly. GPU is a Asus TUF Non-OC. The ram doesn't support XMP. I wouldn't say that it is quiet once the fan curve issue is fixed but considering how difficult it is to get a GPU currently. This is a decent deal.

Sounds like a Boeing 747 taking off. Got so hot it turned off on battlefield 4 MAIN MENU….fixed it like some of the comments mentioned to go into the BIOS and just set fan to maximum non-stop. overall great performance but will likely have to swap case and install new cooler. Great price too. Sure it isn’t a Ryzen processor but it still works.

The system performs pretty well, but the case's air flow is pretty much crap given how much heat this GPU and CPU combo put out under full load. The one side panel is a solid piece of glass, so no real options to vent or add fans there (not without specialized tools). On its own the rest of the case doesn't appear to even have mounting points for additional fans, which is kind of crazy. Yes the metal top of the case is a honeycomb mesh, but the seemingly pointless indents into the cavity of the case, along with the plastic clips, make adding fans more tiresome than it needs to be.
#1 recommendation for improvement, transplant the guts of the PC to a new case and keep this one around in the event you need to do something that requires the warranty.
#2 recommendation depending on your ambient temps and/or the case you move this system into, you may want to upgrade your CPU cooler.
Other than that, I'm not a fan of the LED lights everywhere. I personally think that they distract from the hardware more so than they accentuate it.

Pretty good value. The case it comes with sucks and has bad Airflow so i moved the PC to another case I had with 2 larger fans instead of 1, left the side panel off and the temperatures are OK and I didnt even buy a new CPU cooler but that would help a lot. For $1800 before tax its a hard price to beat to get into a rtx 3080 desktop, and the specs are decent. Good ASUS motherboard with onboard wifi and bluetooth, and the I7 is of course fast and handles games like the best. The extra hard drive and fast boot SSD are nice too. Overall im happy with it, but only because of the price. If RTX 3080s and graphics cards in general were cheaper, I probably wouldnt have bought this but as of march 2022 this is a good buy

This is a great gaming PC that only needed a few tiny upgrades. I would have built my own PC but at the time I purchased this it was actually cheaper than buying the parts individually. The fans are pretty loud so I replaced them with a few white LED fans and they look great with the RGB lights. This also comes with a 3x4 PCI NVMe so I upgraded that to a 4x4 and saw a small increase in loading times (not a huge difference so you would probably be fine using the stock NVMe). I also upgraded the RAM just make sure you don't go overboard on clock speed as RAM clock speeds are worth less above 3200MHz (look it up if you don't believe me). Overall very happy with this PC.

I'm giving this 5 stars because for my purposes and expectations, I'm very happy with this purchase. There are some small caveats here though. As you've read by now in other reviews, this tower runs a little hot out of the box. The CPU cooler is small, the CPU itself runs hot, and the only other fan is a small exhaust fan in the back. Personally, I didn't have any problems with the PC actually shutting down or anything to that effect. My CPU temps did get up to around 80C though, which is a little higher than I'd like. The GPU stayed relatively cool though, somewhere in the range of 50-55C. The ASUS TUF 3080 in this machine is a great card.
As a lot of people have mentioned here, I'd recommend changing out the stock CPU cooler when you get a chance. I added a bigger air cooler with new thermal paste and CPU temps are now topping out at around 60C. If you're worried about heat, just take the glass side panel off while gaming until you get the chance to change out the CPU cooler. Again, it seems like some other reviewers have had more problems here than I have but I can only speak for my own experience.
I really like the look of this case. The included RGB lighting looks nice, the form factor is relatively small so it doesn't take up a ton of space, and there are a couple neat features like the carrying handle on top and the little fold out hook for a headset. I also like that the case has a USB-C port on top.
Another thing that impresses me here is the relative lack of bloatware included. I was concerned since this a prebuilt PC that there would be issues with too much unnecessary ASUS software, but honestly there's a very minimum amount of bloat here. Nothing intrusive or noticeably detrimental to performance.
Cooling aside, there are some really good components in this machine and there's a lot of potential here for making improvements down the line. A case swap at some point would really open up your available options as far as adding fans or water cooling. The value here is great ESPECIALLY when you consider how outrageous the PC components market has gotten recently.
I work a full time job and I don't have the time or the patience to put a PC together from scratch (I know it isn't that hard, building enthusiasts). I have no interest in doing any overclocking or crypto mining, I just want to play video games with no fuss. It's also nearly impossible to find a good 3080 like the one included here for anywhere near MSRP. I have been wanting to get into PC gaming for the last few months, and this prebuilt has been a fantastic jumping off point. If you're like me and don't mind tinkering just a little bit, I'd absolutely recommend giving this PC a look. I look forward to gaming on it for a long time to come.

Given the current pricing on GPUs this prebuilt is worth it for that reason alone. This unit comes with an ASUS Strix 3080 which by itself on eBay can sale for the retail price of this entire system. That is the main reason for a 4 star review, otherwise without the GPU this system could easily just be 3 stars. However, the huge caveat is that the other components are largely lackluster. The RAM is unattractive and lacks any sort of heatsink. Fans work but are rather subpar and the case feels overly large, isn't terribly attractive, or packed with exciting features. The main reason for concern is the high CPU temperatures due to poor mounting of the cooler/thermal paste (or lack thereof). If using this system save yourself a headache and repaste the CPU and maybe install a better cooler. Lastly, do a quick inspection of internal components as some of the wire management or components may not be connected or connected properly.

This thing IS a good value today. 6 months ago I never would have bought this. The motherboard (mobo), ram and cooler are all LACKING. However, the ram and mobo are FINE for 95% of people!!! The cooler and additional fans are something that everyone should consider. Get some Arctic P12 PWM and a beefier cooler like a scythe or noctua and you will be laughing at everyone else paying $2000 alone for a RTX 3080. This is still cheaper than some 3070 prebuilts from some builder sites and you don't have to wait 4-6 months.

Just arrived and I ran through some benchmarks...
- Performance tests all came out as expected. Temps ran high though.
- GPU has full hash rate ** NON LHR **
- Cable management was fantastic. A++ for a pre-built.
- The guts are good, but the case itself is crap, just like everyone else mentioned. Inadequate cooling and it just doesn't feel very good. The top plastic feels creaky and kind of cheap. It's super lightweight which is good and bad at the same time. The power button is really really bad. Horrible squishy feel to it. I doubt it will last long if you turn your machine on and off often.
- CPU cooler actually isn't bad. However it can't do much with such bad case cooling.
In summary, it's the best way to get a full hash rate 3080 (unfortunately) right now. So unless that's your immediate goal, you're better off building your own with a good case.

So after doing some research, the 11700kf can get a bit hot. It's designed to turn off boosting at around 100 F. I don't like this though, and while technically ASUS is correct in saying that the cooling is sufficient, I'm not okay with just sufficient. With this in mind, I upgraded the cooling system with the following:
1x be quiet! Pure Wings 92mm (replacing the stock exhaust fan/ jet engine in the back)
1x be quiet! Pure Wings 120mm (mounted to the front, the holes are marked on the case's frame)
x1 Vetroo V5 CPU Air Cooler (I almost questioned whether it would fit, but it did!)
Corsair XTM50 High Performance Thermal Compound Paste
Next, the SN530 ssd in the system, Western Digital Blue, is a bit underpowered for my taste. This board does support the SN850 Western Digital Black, so I upgraded this.
x 1 WD_BLACK 1TB SN850 NVMe
Finally, I play some pretty memory intensive games, like DCS. I had some CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro (3200) sticks from my last system, so I technically didn't buy these with the system, but I'll list it here anyway.
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB kit
All this for under $500. Not too shabby
A few complaints:
The aluminum-sheet cover for the expansion slots is razor sharp. Be careful. Sliced my finger good putting the graphics card back in.
I had to adjust the power switch on the front panel. I'm not sure if the brackets are malfunctioning or if it's not mounted right, but the front panel button wouldn't make contact with the switch. I have to remove the front panel cover and push the switch back into its mount with my finger sometimes. Grr.
This system has a B560-G board, but has a different BIOS that ASUS uses on retail systems. I wish, very much, that the B560-G BIOS would be released.
4/5. Nice little pre-built 11th gen system that has a lot of potential. The main components (Processor, CPU) are of high quality, and the components that aren't (SSD, cooling) won't affect your gaming too much. Cooling, Memory, SSD.. in that order if you plan on upgrading components.
