Just got the PC and unboxed and I am HUGELY satisfied. Makes me kond of wonder why I would spend twice to three times as much on a gaming pc inless i was streaming, editing, or coding. I can have Starfield playing on Ultra at 4k on one monitor and Twitch on the other streaming in 1080p with both at 120 hz! And the gpu temp is indicated 61 degres with 41% processor RAM usage! Now granted, the GPU RAM and clock are maxed, but that’s fine by me since this is the most myself or most gammers will ever ask of a PC. Best part is, if I ever wanted to upgrade, ASUS makes a ton of great components that are super easy to install. The case and lighting also look very nice and Armory Crate and Aura Creator aren’t quite as good as what Corsair and Razr have to offer but again, for half to a third the price, they work very well. 15/10 would HIGLY recommend!

Perfect PC for gaming it runs mostly really fast and my son has played Fortnite on. It also runs the oculus VR for more modules I believe I am not sure what he does on there, but also big games like League of Legends from move on it. We were playing two games on it at the same time while he was on the oculus.

**** NOTE: Make sure to install BT/Wi-Fi antenna for BT devices to function properly **** I would give this ASUS G16CH gaming desktop 4.5 stars if I could. The reasons for not giving it a perfect score is probably the picky PC enthusiast in me speaking. I have been using this new G16CH gaming desktop from Asus for the past week now. I must say that for a gaming pre-built, this is an extremely solid and well built machine. Not only are the core components that Asus selected for this build of high quality, but Asus nailed it in the aesthetics department as well. The mid-tower case that was chosen has a sleek and refined look to it. Most of the case is constructed from a light premium plastic with the exception of the side glass panel and the side aluminum panel near the rear of the motherboard. The case also features a handy lever that can be pulled down to hold your gaming headset or neatly tucked back in when not in use. There's a convenient strap in the upper rear side of the case that can be used to carry the desktop; a neat little add-on typically only found on Asus cases. The RGB lighting accents are done tastefully and help accentuate it's sleek symmetrical look. I love the boomerang shaped RGB accent on the front of the case. Changing the RGB lighting is as easy as downloading the Asus ROG Armoury Crate software. However, I did wish that the front lighting of the case could be controlled independently of the RGB strip inside the case. Asus also did a great job with the cable management in the front and rear of the motherboard (see picture with the side panel off). I couldn't find any information on Asus's website regarding the PSU that is enclosed by the case's PSU shroud. After removing the side panel, I was able to confirm that it's a 750 watt 80 PLUS GOLD PSU manufactured by a company called "Great Wall". I had never heard of this company but after doing some research, it appears that they are a reputable OEM PSU supplier for other companies. Apparently they manufacture some of Corsair's branded products like their CX and TX-M lines of PSUs. Solid choice by Asus and more than enough power to run this machine. In terms of performance, I've been very impressed with this mid-tier pre-built gaming PC. The Intel Core i7-13700K with its 16 cores and 24 threads combined with the RTX 4060 Ti was able to keep up with all of the latest games I threw at it. It did so with all settings on high or maxed out at 3440x1440 resolution. This is where I can't stress enough how well of a sweet spot the 1440p and 1080p resolutions are for this gaming PC. While the 4060 Ti paired with this i7 is certainly capable of running games at 4k, you'll likely be hitting the 25-40 FPS range which is not desirable for most. I paired this gaming PC with my Samsung G8 1440p OLED and it's a match made in heaven. All the games I ran such as Dead Island 2, Jedi Survivor, and Doom Eternal, ran at 65+ FPS @3440x1440 with all settings on high or maxed out. I could have also squeezed out much more performance by selecting medium or lower settings. Games that weren't as demanding, such as CS:GO and Overwatch 2, ran at 175+ FPS at 1440p. The Asus ROG liquid AIO cooler performed well in terms of thermal efficiency (it also looks beautiful!). In all of the games I ran (non-synthetic benchmarks), I never saw CPU temps exceed 65°C on any of the 16 cores. This was with an ambient room temp of 75°C. The ASUS cooler on the 4060Ti also performed phenomenal and I didn't see temps exceed 65°C on the GPU. The included 1 TB NVMe SSD is also a high performance drive. My load times were always blazing quick! I ran CrystalDiskInfo and it appears to be a Micron 2400 1TB NVMe M.2 so definitely a top quality choice by Asus. I've compiled some of my benchmark results below which include synthetic benchmarks, real world gaming performance metrics, and an SSD benchmark. I've also included some thermal metrics. =================================================================== Benchmark Results (Tests recorded in ambient room temp of 75°C): Time Spy Extreme (4K): Graphics Score: 6,209 CPU Score: 9,312 CPU temperature avg during Demo & Graphics 1&2 test: 50°C CPU temperature avg during CPU test: 76°C GPU temperature avg: 65°C Apex Legends estimated performance @1440p: 135+ FPS =================================================================== Time Spy: Time Spy Score: 13,808 Graphics Score: 13,443 CPU Score: 16,321 CPU temperature avg during Demo & Graphics 1&2 test: 55°C CPU temperature avg during CPU test: 79°C GPU temperature avg: 64°C Apex Legends estimated performance @1440p: 140+ FPS =================================================================== Cinebench 2024: CPU (Multi Core) Score: 1295 pts CPU (Single Core) Score: 121 pts GPU Score: 12,053 pts =================================================================== Dead Island 2 Resolution: 3440x1440 Refresh Rate:175Hz Overall Quality: High Textures: Ultra GPU temp avg: 62°C CPU 16 core temps: ~ 50°C - 60°C Min FPS: 51 Avg FPS: 122 Max FPS: 172 FPS VRAM Usage: 7.45GB =================================================================== Star Wars Jedi Survivor (While playing on Koboh) Resolution: 3440x1440 Refresh Rate:175Hz Graphics Settings: Epic (Except for the two settings below) Shadow Quality: High Foliage Detail: High FPS Avg: 65 GPU temp avg: 63°C CPU core temps: 52°C - 62°C VRAM Usage: 7.4GB =================================================================== Doom Eternal Resolution: 3440x1440 Refresh Rate:175Hz Graphics Settings: Ultra Nightmare FPS Avg: 87 GPU temp avg: 57°C CPU core temps: 39°C - 55°C VRAM Usage: 7.8GB =================================================================== Micron 2400 1TB NVMe M.2 - Crystal DiskMark Benchmark Results: SEQ1M Q8T1: Read (MB/s): 4,704 Write (MB/s): 3,584 SEQ1M Q1T1: Read (MB/s): 2,615 Write (MB/s): 3,068 =================================================================== As you can see from the metrics above, this mid-tier pre-built gaming PC puts out some serious numbers. The only small caveat that I think is worth mentioning as it pertains to performance is that with textures fully maxed out at 1440p, the 8GB VRAM buffer on the 4060Ti gets close to it's limits. This should definitely not be a cause for concern but it's something to look out for in case you're someone who likes to run custom high res texture packs that are sometimes made available by the modding community on certain games. Multi-tasking was also a breeze on this gaming PC due to the 32GB of DDR4 3200 RAM. Looking at CPU-Z, these are a pair of 16GB SK Hynix memory modules. Again, thanks ASUS for the high quality component selections! I tested opening several google chrome tabs, running a video streaming service, playing music, opening MS office applications, all while browsing and doing various other tasks. The PC remained incredibly snappy and fluid with no signs of bottlenecks. Despite all of it's positives. There are a few areas that I feel could use some improvement. For example, the 80mm rear exhaust fan produces a very low coil whine that can be heard when everything is silent. It sounds almost identical to the very low hum that refrigerator compressors make when you listen closely. It looks like a very generic 80mm fan and I wish Asus would have gone with a higher quality part here. The radiator fans are generally quiet but they too produce a very small amount of coil whine (can only be heard if it's extremely silent in the room). I wish that Asus would have gone with higher quality static pressure radiator fans that typically don't produce any type of coil whine. Another area of improvement would be adding some front intake fans to the case. Asus's webpage for this PC states that it is "airflow optimized" and even shows a graphic with air coming in through the front and bottom of the case and then exhausting through the rear and top. However, without front intake fans, we're not maximizing the amount of intake that could potentially be directed into the chassis. With that said though, even without front intake fans, my thermals during my testing were still very respectable as was seen in my benchmark results above. Another thing I'd like to point out is that there's a weird little glop of silver paint on my NVMe cover and screw (see picture). Not sure how that got on there but something to point out to QA/QC. Since this is only cosmetic, it's not a big deal for me. Lastly, I initially had some issues connecting my wireless Xbox controller via bluetooth to the PC. It turns out that it's because I didn't have the bluetooth/Wi-Fi antenna connected to the two screw-in connectors on the rear of the motherboard. This was entirely my fault but I would have thought that motherboard and case manufacturers would have figured out how to integrate the BT/Wi-Fi antenna into a cleaner design by now. A very minor gripe but something to look out for in case you're having Wi-Fi or BT issues. Overall, this is a very solid mid-tier gaming PC that delivers a ton of performance for those that are looking to run their games in the 1440p or 1080p formats. For me, 1440p is still the sweet spot these days since I don't mind sacrificing a bit of pixel density for higher refresh rates for a more fluid gaming experience. This would also be a great build for a power user that not only games, but also does some content creation and editing. Although I did have some minor gripes with the exhaust and radiator fans being a tad noisy, the rest of the core components of this build are of high quality. The fans are also the least of my worries as they are are fairly inexpensive to swap out. For those that want to take the guess work out of building a custom PC or simply don't have the time to plan out a fully custom build, this Asus G16CH would be a fantastic choice!

I just picked up the new ASUS G16CH-I7K4060TiVR Gaming Desktop and it’s an absolute powerhouse, and it's quite evident that ASUS has gone above and beyond in ensuring that gamers, whether novice or hardcore, have a remarkable experience right from the get-go. I am in love with this machine, and I have had it less than a week!! Performance: The integration of the Intel i7-13700KF processor, combined with DDR4 3200 32GB RAM, ensures lightning-fast speeds and seamless multitasking. Coupled with the Nvidia RTX 4060Ti Dual/8GDD6 Graphics card, this machine can handle graphically-intensive tasks with relative ease. During my three days of testing (playing), the desktop showcased its mettle, handling a variety of games – from FPS to racing and even flight sims – without breaking a sweat. The 1TB PCIE G4 SSD further amplifies the speed and responsiveness of the system, ensuring faster game load times and rapid boot-ups. Aesthetics and Customizability: The machine doesn't just excel in terms of power; it's a visual delight as well. The RGB tower is stunning, offering users an array of customizability options to truly make it your own. The addition of the RGB water cooler not only ensures that the system stays cool during intense gaming sessions but also adds an exquisite touch to the overall aesthetics with the ASUS ROG logo lit up with matching RGBs. Blinky lights aside, the tower is also equipped with some “nice to haves” that turn out to be pretty clutch, such as the retractable headphone hanger and the double D-ring strap that goes over the top rear of the tower, not only does it look cool, it’s also a handle to help when moving or lifting the PC. Setup and Ease of Use: Setting up the ASUS G16CH-I7K4060TiVR was surprisingly quick and hassle-free. Within minutes, I was all set to delve into my favorite gaming worlds. For those who dread the extensive setup process associated with many gaming PCs, this desktop will surely be a breath of fresh air. Just take it out of the box, plug in the keyboard and mouse, plug in power, then power it on, done. In the Box: Beyond the powerful tower, ASUS has thoughtfully included a wired keyboard and mouse, three different PCIE cables, a power plug, and all the necessary paperwork. This ensures that gamers have all they need to kick start their gaming journey. Final Thoughts: Revisiting older games like Destiny 2 on this machine was a revelation. The vibrant and crisp graphics, combined with buttery-smooth gameplay, allowed me to get thoroughly engrossed in the gaming worlds. I have had so much fun playing on this new PC! For gamers on the lookout for a robust, visually stunning, and user-friendly machine, the ASUS G16CH-I7K4060TiVR Gaming Desktop is a top contender. Whether you're just starting your gaming journey or are a seasoned pro, this desktop promises an unparalleled gaming experience. Highly recommended!

Initial setup was a bit frustrating, because I actually read the instructions. I don’t recommend that you do that. This was specifically because there were a few cables that came in the box that I wasn’t using. They looked like they were probably for something inside the desktop, but I wasn’t sure. There was no mention of them in the instructions. The instructions appeared to be clear. Plug in the mouse and keyboard. Initially I just plugged them into the top, because the ports were easy access, but moved them to the back, because that is what the instructions said to do. Then I plugged in the HDMI cable into the top port, because that is what the instructions said to do. I also connected the wireless antenna, even though there was no mention of it in the startup instructions, but I figured I knew what that was, and since I was not planning on plugging in to Ethernet, at least not at first, it was better to install it than not. Then the instructions tell you to press the front button to turn it on. I did that, but nothing happened. I thought, maybe the power supply is not properly set to 120V, so I went to see if there was a switch for that on the back. There was not, but that was when I saw there was an on/off switch next to where the power plugged in. I hadn’t noticed it before, and it wasn’t mentioned in the instructions. It was in the off position, so I turned it on. Then I pushed the front switch and it powered up. It powered up in that the fans came on, and there were lots of pretty lights, but nothing appeared on the screen it was connected to. So, I went through a debugging process, trying other ports on the TV, trying other cables, and then taking the cable that was plugged into the desktop and plugging it into another device to verify it did indeed work with another device. So, it wasn’t the tv, it wasn’t the cable, it was something to do with this desktop. I tried switching it to the other HDMI port just below the top one, and that didn’t work either. It was already late, so I thought maybe I would need to call into tech support the next day and I left for a bit. Once I had stepped away for a while, the thought entered my mind that maybe those HDMI ports were not active. Maybe there were other ports back there I hadn’t seen, like the power switch. I had the thing all tucked in at this point, so I couldn’t really see behind it, so I pulled it out and sure enough, there were 4 more HDMI ports on the back. Yes, 4 more, for a total of 6, which is pretty cool, that there are that many ports, but kind of annoying the startup instructions specifically told you NOT to use those. So I unplugged the HDMI cable from the top port where the instructions had told me to plug it in, and I plugged it directly into the first port on the card. It’s ALIVE! So, okay, that was really annoying, but no harm done I guess. Let’s just say… the documentation could be better. It started up, I connected to my wifi, that worked no problem. I am working off wifi, not Ethernet at the moment. It connected, did a Windows update, and restarted. Next, it reconnected, I logged into Windows using my pre-existing login for Windows, I told it to restore backup from my laptop, and then skipped through all the ads and promos. I thought about claiming the xbox gaming free offer, since this is a gaming desktop and I thought that might be a good way to test newer games, since I don’t have a lot of newer games since my old gaming desktop couldn’t really handle them. When it immediately asked for my credit card though, I skipped it. Then it said I should sit back and wait for about 30 minutes or so while it updates my software again. I think this might be due to the restore. Once it was done, it hadn't restored/installed Steam, or Chrome, so I installed those. One of my favorite games is an oldy but a goody, Portal. Since Portal is an old game, it might seem it would not be the best game to use to test this PC with, but it is actually the perfect game to test it with, because it has an RTX version which from all I have read, should put any graphics card to the test. I wouldn’t know personally since, when I attempted to install it on my old gaming desktop, it couldn’t even run. It was actually the catalyst that made me start thinking it was finally time to upgrade again. My gaming system upgrade strategy is pretty simple. Buy a system, that can at least play all available games when I buy it, even if not at all the max settings. When it starts getting to the point it can't play newer games being released, upgrade parts if possible, a new video card maybe. When too many things would need to be upgraded to keep moving forward, buy a new system. In checking the recommended requirements for Portal RTX, this system should easily handle the recommended requirements for 1080 60fps, but is actually underpowered for Ultra settings of 4k at 60fps. So I installed Steam, and then I went to install Portal RTX. This is when I saw Portal Prelude RTX. Portal Prelude RTX? I had not heard of this before. It is apparently a full length prequel (fan made) to the first two games and the RTX version was only released a couple of months ago. I look forward to looking into that more. When I went to run it though, it said it couldn’t run because my video drivers were too old and I needed to upgrade them. So I tried to run the Nvidia software to upgrade my drivers, but it wanted me to log in. Now, I probably already have a Nvidia account, but I couldn’t tell you what the login is. There was a login with Google option, so I just used that, but then it wanted me to choose a screen name. I used my standard, very unique screen name, but it told me it was already taken, which I am quite sure it is probably taken by me, but it didn’t really have a way for me to recover a password or anything like that, so I just made up something else. Kind of annoying I have to go through all this just to update a driver. Finally finished and upgraded the driver. Then went back to Steam and now I was able to run Portal Prelude RTX. And it ran ok. I went in to see what the settings were and I was playing it in 4k. I went into steam settings to enable the FPS to be shown on the display. In 4k I was getting around 50fps, so that kind of agrees with the specs that this card wouldn't be able to handle 4k Ultra at 60fps. I then set the video to 1080. At 1080 I was getting between 125 to 150 fps and it looked great. The next day I went to use it again, and there was another driver update available. So I upgraded the driver a second time. Next, I went and installed Bioshock remastered. I know this isn’t the newest game in the world, but I wanted to see what the performance looked like so I could know if Portal RTX was really giving the card the challenge I was hoping it was. In 4k resolution, I never saw Bioshock remastered really slip below 200fps. Usually it was 230-300, or even higher. Sometimes in the 500 range. I went back to Portal, this time Portal RTX instead of Portal Prelude RTX. In 4k mode, the menus are just so small I can’t even really see the text. Not sure if this is a setting I am missing or something, but I switched back to 1080 so I could read the text on the menus. Playing Portal RTX in 1080, I was over 100 fps, and once in a while would see it dip into the 90s, but didn’t see it go below 90. Just to see the performance I tried 2K mode. In 2k the menus were still perfectly readable and I was maintaining a healthy 70+ fps. Lastly I tried 4k mode in 4k mode I was only getting 12 fps. Definitely 2k mode seems like the sweet spot. I found it interesting that the performance of Portal RTX was so much lower than that of Portal Prelude RTX. I went to try to find out why that might be, and in the process read about DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), which is a technology that apparently lets you run games with higher frame rates through some sort of AI sampling technology. So I thought maybe it is enabled in Portal Prelude and not Portal? So I went looking for the setting and didn’t really see a setting for it in the graphics settings. So, I looked specifically for how to control those settings in Portal RTX, and you press ALT-X and a menu for just these settings appears. Wanting to see if it would really make much of an impact, I switched back to 4k resolution and changed the DLSS settings. Since I didn’t know exactly what they all did, I changed the image quality settings setting to Low. It stated these would be applied the next time I started the app. So I closed Portal and restarted it and started playing it and I had a frame rate of 70+ fps at 4k resolution. I went back to Portal Prelude RTX to see how DLSS was set by default on that game. It had a Custom DLSS preset set to performance mode. It also stated under this mode “Computed DLSS mode: Max Performance, Render Resolution 1920x1080” and like before, it is clocking about 48 fps in 4k. So, these DLSS settings made a game that was otherwise unplayable at 4k resolution, playable. Because of the smaller text in the menus, I think I am still going to run them at 1 or 2k instead of 4k, but it is good to know maybe I can run it higher, if I want to, and that I actually seem to have a little bit of a buffer for the future, when at first it really didn’t seem like I did. The desktop itself is a beast. It is also an attractive beast with a clear plexiglass side so you can see all the internals and cool color shifting lights. These are not things that I particularly care about, but it is attractive, and right now, while it is new and shiny it is nice to look at, and I am thinking the clear side might actually come in handy in the future to see when the thing starts filling up with dust and needs to be cleaned. The keyboard and mouse were practical and functional, but nothing to write home about, especially for a gaming PC. All in all, I am pretty impressed with it and it fits my gaming desktop strategy perfectly.

The 4060ti and Asus brand have had a tough time, but this computer has won me over. Running third party benchmarks, this computer will play 99 of the top 100 games at recommended settings. I’ve tried Baldur’s Gate 3 (Act 3), Forza, Tiny Tina, Spiderman, and Diablo and all play flawlessly on high and ultra settings with no stuttering. I have it hooked up to the Sony M9 monitor for G-Sync and it looks fantastic! Fan noise is the quietest I’ve ever had with a gaming pc. A consistent hum, rather than the usual jet turbine. Easily drown out by decent speakers. After a two hour gaming session, it was well within normal temps. I added a 2TB SSD just for game storage. Install took seconds. The RGB lighting is just the right amount of gawdiness, without looking like a rainbow disco. I can also sync the rgb with other devices like my Rog Ally. Keyboard and mouse are basically the normal OEM flavorless “freebies” and I HIGHLY recommend upgrading. They are fine for setting up the computer but not really something you’d be comfortable using for hours. Absolutely love the headset holder and wifi6 antenna. Both are subtle additions that really help the experience. Bloatware is minimum, and thankfully Armory Crate and MyAsus have improved tremendously since their earliest versions. I found it simple to use and great information. If you are uncomfortable building your own pc and want a solid performer, look no further. This is a great gaming rig that will easily handle your favorite games in stunning 1440p or 4k with gorgeous ray tracing.

The ASUS G16CH 4060Ti is a solid performing gaming desktop with a premium core. Below are my thoughts: [PROS] High FPS: I’m in agreement with the gaming community that 8GB of VRAM is not going to be sufficient going forward for major AAA titles. However, the 4060Ti in this prebuilt exceeded my performance expectations. I was able to achieve an average of 80-90 fps playing Spider-Man at 1440p (High Quality everything) with ray tracing without having to rely on DLSS (see screenshot). Awesome Core: The GPU is a low mid-tier card, but everything else is way above average. This prebuilt includes 32GB of RAM paired with a powerful CPU, the i7-13700KF. This computer also includes a 1TB SSD which should be enough to store a decent amount of games. Finally, the desktop is powered by a 750 semi-modular PSU which leads to my final pro. Upgradeability: The biggest plus I see with this desktop is being able to maximize it. The CPU, RAM, and PSU are overkill for the 4060Ti. I would highly suggest upgrading the GPU to squeeze out alot more performance out the CPU. Theoretically and physically, a 4080 Founders Edition can be used with this rig. The 750W PSU meets the exact recommendation and the case provides just enough clearance to be slotted in. The rig includes a second NVME slot that is PCIe Gen 4 which should allow for extra storage with excellent results. [CONS]: No Intake Fans: I didn’t notice any thermal issues while using the ASUS G16CH, but I would’ve felt more comfortable if it had intake fans for performance and longevity. Assembly defects (See screenshots): While inspecting the desktop, I noticed a few off-putting things in regard to how it was put together. The GPU cable was awkwardly bent and pulling pretty hard at the graphics card. I had to remove the side panel, remove zip ties, and loosen the cable to prevent issues down the road. I also notice scratches on SSD heatsink and screw. I wasn’t so much worried about the heatsink because that is replaceable. However, a damaged GPU connector would mean trouble.. No Thunderbolt Port: This computer contains USB C ports, but none of these are thunderbolt ports. This would have been definitely beneficial in the event one would need to transfer data rapidly or connect to a high-end display. [CONCLUSION] I like this desktop much more than I thought I would have. The 4060Ti is great and will have much more life in it with DLSS and Frame Generator despite only have 8GB of VRAM. However, I already started the process of upgrading the GPU based on the other components found in this rig. I can recommend the desktop as-is, but would highly suggest looking at the 4080 FE card (other variants/third party cards are either too large and/or require high PSU wattage).

A sleek prebuilt gaming rig with a flair

The ASUS ROG G16CH is a very good prebuilt gaming desktop that’s ready to tackle your entertainment needs. This beast comes in a nice little package too. Its appearance has subtle notes of flare when looking at it head on. The mesh front panel combined with the RGB lighting give it a very sleek look. Then you move to the side and you are graced with an open view of the beauty that’s within. ASUS did a great job of providing a view of the clean but technically sound internal build that is complemented by more wonderful RGB. Taking all of that RGB to the next level, ASUS set up the G16CH with the Aura Creator to help you build your own color/pattern design across other compatible devices as well as the desktop itself. There is even the ability to sync it with music. While not a huge selling feature, it's a nice little perk added to the Aura Sync found within the Armoury Crate. I look forward to tinkering with it more. That wonderful open side panel gives you more than just additional RGB accents. It provides an inside look at the power that’s being used. This G16CH has 32 GB of RAM, the 13th Gen Intel(R) Core)™ i7-13700KF @ 3.4 GHz, 1 TB SSD drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card. I run with two 27” monitors as well as a 32” curved. I’ve been able to stream movies and game at the same time without any issues at all. I run everything at max levels and I didn’t experience any lag or screen tearing. The games flowed with ease and I was able to enjoy the crisp details on the entire screen real estate. In the past, I’ve had previous prebuilt rigs perform this well, but that came with some very extensive noise. It was almost like it was about to take off. The G16CH definitely increased in sound, but it was nothing compared to the other. This was definitely an acceptable amount of noise to perform and to keep things cool. Speaking of cool, the design of the chassis is more than looks. It works really well at keeping the temperature down. There is venting in the front that looks great, but also aids in airflow when coupled with venting in the back and bottom. To go along with that, there are two fans on the top as well as one on the back. Of course, there are additional cooling elements for the GPU and processor working with everything else to keep things cool while staying fast. The last couple of things to note on the chassis are the “D-ring” to easily move or carry the rig, and the fold out headset holder. Both are nice touches. All in all, I am pretty impressed with the ASUS ROG G16CH. ASUS has come a long way and I am happy to have them back in my computing world. My first PC was built with an ASUS motherboard in the mid 90s and that thing performed like a champ. My hope is that this PC will continue to help them live up to the hype in my world. The one small knock I do have is that included keyboard and mouse seem like just throw-ins. They could do a little more there, but they can help you get up and running.
