I bought the Asus ROG Raikiri Pro gaming controller from Best Buy and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it has some great features that make it stand out from other controllers. On the other hand, it has some flaws that make it uncomfortable to use for long sessions.
The good:
- The controller has a built-in OLED display that shows various information such as battery level, profile, mic status, and custom animations or text. You can change the display settings and content using the Armoury Crate app on your PC. I like how I can see the controller status at a glance and personalize it with my own message or graphic.
- The controller supports tri-mode connectivity: wired USB-C, wireless 2.4 GHz RF, and Bluetooth. You can easily switch between different modes using the buttons above the OLED display. The Bluetooth mode has low latency and adaptive frequency hopping technology to avoid interference with other devices. The controller is also compatible with the latest Xbox console via wired USB-C.
- The controller has an ESS DAC built-in that delivers high-quality sound through the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The sound is clear and immersive, and you can hear every detail in your games. There is also a mute button for the mic next to the headphone jack.
- The controller has extensive customization options via the Armoury Crate app. You can remap buttons, adjust trigger and joystick sensitivity, change vibration strength, and tweak joystick response curves. The controller lets you create different profiles for different games and switch between them on the fly.
The bad:
- The controller is too small for my hands. I'm not a tall guy but this controller just felt cramped. I had trouble reaching some of the buttons and triggers comfortably. I prefer larger controllers that fit better in my hands.
- The four rear buttons are mushy and hard to press. They don't give enough tactile feedback and sometimes I don't know if I pressed them or not. I also found it awkward to use only my middle finger to press all four buttons because of the small size of the controller. On other controllers with four rear buttons, I can use both my middle and index fingers to press two buttons each.
Overall, I think the Asus ROG Raikiri Pro gaming controller has some potential but it needs some improvements in design and ergonomics. It's not a bad controller, but it's not a great one ergonomically. I'm keeping it because I'm a bit of an Asus fan boy, but I hope they release a larger second edition.

Works great. The buttons on the rear of the controller are in a slightly awkward position compared to an xbox elite controller but it is way lighter and has more customization options via armory crate compared to the elite controller. In order to change settings in PC you have to use a usb cable to plug it in.

There were a lot of reviews online stating that this controller felt worse then the basic xbox controller so i was skeptical about purchasing it becuase of the price, but oh boy was i wrong. If you like customizing literally everything about your remote, an OLED display that shows everything from animations to battery life, the best feeling buttons on a controller, and esthetics to please us gamers who love RGB.... then i would 100% recommend this product. Also....its ROG, so how can you go wrong!

Like the feel and quality. Smaller size which is perfect for my wife. Wish the back buttons were closer to the grips and would act like pedals, can be awkward to reach.

Great product just wish you could use it without plugging it up. To program different profiles be cool if you can use it with the USB driver kind of like you would in Xbox elite controller but overall the quality of the controller is very very good if you want to control it's going to be mainly plugged in this will definitely do the job.

I like it plain and simple. Controller feels nice to use, I dont accidentally click the buttons on the back and having the 3 different connection modes is nice. The OLED display is cool but just a bit gimmicky and the battery life is ok. on par with my normal xbox controllers.
My only complaints so far are that due to the shape of the buttons on the back its hard to find a controller stand, I dont like that in order to do anything with this controller you must connect it to armory crate. Oh and to use/connect this to your ROG Ally you must go to rog ally on asus web page and download the driver for this controller manually

So far its great the short trigger stops work you can also program the sensitivity of the triggers and button presses in the ASUS Armoury Crate. It is plug and play for Xbox/PC.
Battery Life of constant playing is 90+ hours but also can be 72 hours depending on your brightness for the rgb leds. The Oled panel is also programmable. The Controller is very grippy in the back so when your hands sweat the controller doesn't slide. There is 4 programmable buttons for MW I recommend programming m3 to A and m4 to B.

So let me first off say that i currently have a battle beaver, but also had a xbox elite 2, and a razer wolverine chroma 2. This controller has everything you need and want in one. It can either be used wireless or wired, you can remap your buttons on the app, upload the oled screen on the controller, and even set your analog sticks to a customizable deadzone/outer threshold to your comfortability for any game. Its freaking awesome! Say you want to beam enemies in your BR's or multiplayer games, well you can probably get it pretty close to not have any recoil or so. Let me get to a conclusion, if yiu are looking for a controller that's well worth thd price and customisation, THIS IS FOR YOU, you won't regret. P.S. might feel weird using it at first but you will get used to it.

Overall is very solid. Has a ton of customization in the armoury crate software. In my hands it feels smaller than the original xbox controller. The only thing I do not love about this controller is that I find the paddles at the bottom a bit short.
The original elite controller has extensions and is a bit better in that area for my hands.
Try to get a feel for the controller before you buy it.

Feature Packed Controller

This controller is packed with features. It works great for PC. I mainly bought this for PC gaming when I want to use a controller. I like that it has three different connections like Bluetooth, a Wireless dongle, or a wired connection. The screen helps for switching profiles or checking the status of the controller. The customization in Armoury Crate can be overwhelming at first, but I like having the ability to make adjustments. If you have other ROG products this pairs nicely with them. Only thing I wish the controller had was Hall Effect sensors. I also wish Asus made a case for the controller to protect the small screen in travel. Asus if you are listening this would be a good opportunity to make a travel case. I would certainly recommend this product. The build quality is on point and the design is though out. I was lucky and got it on sale. After spending several months with this controller. It is now my favorite one to use.

Phenomenal controller in the sense of anesthetics, heir go "Asus Rog", which is known for providing that sort cyber niche to their product line. However, the conteoller does have a couple caveats like any other controller on the market. It can be a little somewhat "off-putting" when it comes to the rear button placement. It could also be a little bright on the rgb lighting (not all at all for me but there will always be someone to find an issue with any aspect of any product to be fair). There could also be an issue with calibration on any one particular controller, though thank GOODNESS!! Mine has proven to work flawlessly so far.
In all honesty, yes! It is quite pricey and a bit impractical, but if you want a premium-esque feel without dropping 300 plus from a custom shop and dig the added aspects of personalized name displays or having a guaranteed works out of the box to xbox and pc experience with exploration for more tuning , along with being the only "GENUINELY LICENSED XBOX CONTROLLER" to support a 2.4ghz connection as well as a corded and near latest bluetooth connection, then wrap that up with multi stage profile settings that you can map yourself! Then this my friend is a winner. Now, with that said, it has only been released recently, so we have to be fair about this. The only negative TRULY, would be that it didn't work out of the box. Also, this isn't a controller you buy for your ten year old. This is meant for the player that will want to "DIG INTO THE MEAT AND POTATOES" if you will.
That being said, this isn't meant to come age as age discrimination, however unless the child is actively involved, with a bit more than average computing, then they may grasp how to take full advantage of this device. I'm simply stating this for the hard working parents out there so that they feel not only safe but secure with their purchase before taking the leap. OTHER THAN THAT!! DEFINITELY GIVE IT A TRY! IT'S BEYOND GORGEOUS AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, I PRAY AND HOPE THAT YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED DAY!! :)

The ASUS ROG Raikiri Pro controller is a solid choice for gamers! The build feels premium, with excellent grip and responsive buttons. The customizable controls and OLED display are standout features, perfect for tweaking your setup. It’s great for PC gaming, though setup takes a bit of time. Definitely worth it for performance-focused players!
