Great ulta-wide monitor for gaming

When I was looking to replace my 60Hz monitor, I was looking for something a bit bigger, still curved & that offered a 144Hz refresh rate... and boy did this monitor deliver!
First off, it's huge. When I hoisted it onto my desk the first time, for a brief moment I thought it wasn't going to fit. That ticked the first box. As someone who doesn't enjoy the bezels on the tri-monitor setup, this is exactly what I wanted - a panel that fills my entire field of vision without arbitrary plastic lines in the way.
Moving up to 144Hz was worth it as well. I never put much stock in the refresh rate, but I now appreciate why gamers aim for this 144 magic number. Everything feels so much more responsive & games look fantastic. If you are moving from a 60Hz panel, just remember to update your graphics settings to 144Hz in the OS to ensure you get the benefit.
For general use this monitor makes multi-tasking a breeze. It's the size of 2 standard 27" monitors side-by-side & using the Windows shortcut Win+Left Arrow\Right Arrow, you can easily "dock" a window to fill 50% of either side of the screen. Again, without any pesky bezels in the way.
Two minor criticisms I have, one of which is not under Asus's control:
1) 4ms response time - this causes you to see just the faintest of ghosting on text when you're scrolling super fast, but honestly, I had to go looking for it to notice. I've not been able to definitively pick this up while gaming, only on text on high-contrast backgrounds. Certainly not an issue for me, but if you're looking for the ultimate crispness, you might consider looking at 1ms panels from Samsung or Dell.
2) Ultra-wide support in games - I've come across some oddities in some games where the ultra-wide support is somewhat lacking. From cutscenes rendered in the center with black borders (understandable, if the cutscene was pre-rendered at a certain resolution), to UI elements sitting way off in the corners. Consider checking support for your games on ultra-wide before diving in. Some games do have excellent support though - The Division 2 "centers" the HUD off from the sides, making it easier to see without having to turn your head.
In all I think it's an excellent monitor. Clocking in at a full $100 less than the comparable Samsung panel, it provides rich color fidelity, very good response times & loads of screen real estate to render stuff on. Would definitely recommend for gaming or for heavy workloads that require constant focus switching.

Have only had it for a month and my opinion is that it's awesome. I am a flight simmer, cockpit soooo much bigger and along with TrackIR I can't say enough. Also nice to have several windows open like navigation maps and another maybe a tv show I missed. I have always trusted Asus products and this one I trust.

Phenomenal. Sensational. Curved screen wasn’t hard to get use to at all. A lot of settings to fine tune to your liking. Cool features such as permanent crosshair setting

The color is horrible. I thought maybe a high dynamic screen will help me with editing photography. But the color is so off from other devices. The screen is good for anything other than editing. I tried calibration but it still couldn’t get the color.

Looks pretty good with 2-3 standard screens worth of content. Get Microsoft Power Toys app for free and it's like having 2 monitors without the black bar in the middle. Zoom has a nice feature to share a portion of your screen with stretching. Teams makes it a little harder without third party apps
Full stretched view is nice in games.
Heavy.

Even though this monitor is only a 1080p, it allows me to run multiple screens and switch back and forth seamlessly. This comes in handy for editing, file transfers, and whatever other task requires multiple monitors rather than cascading windows. It was reasonably priced for what it is and the OLED versions were not practical for my needs. It does take up some real estate on my desk but I have everything organized so that my workflow doesn't suffer. I would recommend this monitor as an entry to mid-level upgrade for those who do not want to run multiple smaller monitors but want that overall functionality.

Love this screen
Size, resolution, quality and the appearance of the screen are all top class. Speakers are a little lacking in bass but they’re built into a LED screen so they cant have large cones.
Only thing missing is USB-C
Price is comparable to other 49 inch screens, I feel they are all overpriced but I still bought one.
I previously purchased a Samsung 49 inch curved screen, this one is a far superior unit.

Replaced a flat screen display on a driving simulator with this monitor, the difference in both Dirt Rally and Assetto Corsa is much more than I had expected, sharper visuals, excellent colors, and the curved display makes a huge difference, as there's way more sense of distance and speed than with a flat panel display.

This was my first ultra wide monitor, so be warned, it gets some taking used to. the two things I wish were better on this product are the refresh rate and what caused me to swear= the button. the single button is used for inputs, screen resolutions, profiles, etc. since you have to rock it side to side it was nearly impossible to seamlessly switch inputs. once i accidentally hit the "crosshairs" on and left it on as i didn't want to deal with toggling the button anymore. overll if you have space on your desk, it's well worth the money to get this monitor so you can see everything on one monitor.

I started off with six screens, and it was just too much for my desk. I opted for this screen, which is curved Edison. Best thing I ever did. My desk is now clutter free, and I got a great view of all the applications I need for work.

The best thing about is the size of course . I chose this because its big and i like to split the screen when i game so i dont have to pause it . It could have been higher resolution but you get what you pay for it . Higher resolution was almost $500 more and at the moment could not afford it so i settled for this . Im honestly glad i did .I checked the prices all over for the same monitor and this is the best .
Pros: 144hz, Curved, Good colors after customizing them on the monitor, vesa mounting is cool to because the stand is kinda big.
High refresh rate with a great looking display , HDR is hit or miss while gaming, but videos look amazing .
Cons : Few dead pixels on the screen on the arrival and the stand is kind of big . Other then that all good .

The monitor works great and provides me the space I need when I am letting that mouse run across multiple spreadsheets and other documents at work. The first words of everyone who walks in is: "Whoa, that is a big monitor!" It is just what I needed. I own one for my office in Alabama and decided I had to have another one at my office in Georgia.

Awesome buy is perfect for my work the massive size helps me code very efficiently. The only thing I dislike is it says you can put more than one input but it shrinks the screen terribly when doing so I might be missing something but it works for what I need!

Came missing one of the main screws that holds the arm to the monitor. Inquired about it and was told they do not suppy missing screws to find one on my own. Mind you these appear to be specially items. Very disappointed in product support.
