I love this board. Been an Asus customer since I got into more expensive boards after the DFI lanboy boards. Easily overclocks. Great bios settings NOT too flashy DO NOT use the AI to overclock your CPU. It will push Vcore to 1.4-1.6 and we know that’s not good for your processor.

Excellent mobo upgrade for Intel 8700K. The functions and abilities of this main board rock. They have a very minor group of PC noobs that give this product a negative review. Do to human error 95% of the time. rocking 2 Samsung NVME drives like nothing. Mother board manufactor's need to use usb thumb drives and chuck the cd's. Yes, it comes with a user manual.. If you were born after the 90's you might need to ask your mom to read it too you like a bed time story. This product rocks..

Awesome motherboard and very astethically pleasing. The ONLY reason why I put 4 stars is because I am not a fan of the new placement of the USB 3.0 port which can be quite annoying. It is now placed center on the bottom instead of like the old configuration being on the right side.

Overall, this is a very solid, attractive, and easy to use motherboard with a full suite of BIOS options that boarders on silly. Now that I have a working one, it really put together the look of all the other components. The first one though, oh boy... Upon a complete 3 hour rebuild of my computer, painstakingly addressing cable management, component placement, etc, I was greeted with a pc that sprung to life and immediately powered off. Another push of the power button saw the fans spin for a minute, followed by an audible click and sudden darkness. After rummaging a bit, checking connection strength/proper wiring, another attempt yielded the same result. Little did I know this would be a 4 day ordeal. It took two disassembled computers and part swaps from both to finally diagnose the motherboard as the culprit. To help other folks who might have other, more diagnosable/simpler issues I'll post what I attempted before having to acknowledge that it was indeed the new motherboard. -Reseated the cpu twice - nothing -Used another cpu from the other computer - didn't work -Installed current cpu in other pc, pc posts as normal reset AIO with new thermal paste every cpu change - if the cpu cooler doesn't run, sometimes the pc will shutdown automatically as a safety precaution -no change -Checked AIO functionality through the other pc, AIO pump/fans all functional and recognized by the other motherboard -Used ram sticks from both systems in all possible configurations, including a single stick of each in all # slots - nope -Reset CMOS battery - nothing -Replaced CMOS battery from functioning motherboard - nope -Removed entire system and attempted to boot on a static free surface with nothing but power/cpu/ram onboard - sometimes a motherboard standoff can short a board - not this time -Replaced entire power unit and cables from other computer - nothing installed power supply from current pc into the other pc - pc posts as normal Finally I just gave up and purchased another one of these boards from the same Best Buy. Came home, rebuilt the computer, and boom - lights on ready to roll. Hope this rant can help someone save some times and energy.

i have been using Asus mainboards for the last 6 years and never had any issues with any of them so it is all i buy now. If you are looking into buying on of these its worth it. I am currently running the i9 9900k at 5ghz no issues and 32gb Crucial Ballistix ram with the Zotac 2080Ti AMP Extreme 1815MHZ i cant say anything bad about this board.

Super easy to install and loaded full of features, the ROG Z390 gaming has been an amazing new computer build for me. After I first put everything together, I booted up and went into Bios. There in Bios was an option to update the bios over the internet which I did and after doing so it found my memory and EVO Plus m.2. Very nice layout, great directions, and awesome labeling made installing this and setup a breeze.

The first one came dead on arrival. The return process was easy and another was shipped to my house. The second one worked like a charm. Easy bios with AI overclocking if you’re into that. My only complaint would be clearance, if you are using an NZXT H510 be carful of the top fans, the built in IO shield gives little room for top fans in that case. Other then that it is an amazing motherboard and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful motherboard but can be an issue if you don't update bios but don't update if it's not broken. Be aware that this motherboard has tons of features. Be sure to read the manual before purchasing this motherboard. Match the ram too. This motherboard behaves strange when using non-QVL memory ram. I was told my ASUS it's best to match it because they test it but everyone knows they cannot test every ram in the market. There seem to be voltage changes if you use different ram. It is very picky so I recommend use matching ram that fits the processor and follow the ram specs on the motherboard if you don't overclock much or so. I miss the sabertooth motherboards. I just don't like thermal blocking the battery though if you needed to reset bios. I had a Sabertooth z77 that lasted 7 years. Such a great motherboard. Barely had dust!

Installation is simple. I've always hated the IO shields that most motherboards come with. This board just slots right into the case, with the screwholes aligning perfectly. The lighting options are cool. Included wifi adapter is a nice touch!

The RGB controlled by the software is amazing, and it was very easy to put together. The manual was also very organized. A bit overpriced, however, and I only bought it because everything else was sold out.

This motherboard is a surprisingly high quality mb for its price definitely a hit for gamers. As I researched this mother board is one of THE best in gaming industry. Just enough USB port and RGB (however I ended up using the Corsair Commander Pro but it dose have many ports for fan and RGB) only problems With this mother board are first the design that may not be compatible (size wise) with hydro cooler and smaller size mid tower cases therefore you might have a very hard time fitting it in a case because of the way that RAM spots and ... etc is positioned on the motherboard. The second problem is if you decide to do a test run on ur PC without putting it in a case the motherboard does not give you an option to turn on your PC and you have to short circuit it if you want to turn it on before putting it in a case. Overall very good and great options including the WIFI antenna.
