I am very happy with the overall performance that I’m getting from it.. For the price I don’t think that there is much else. The ddr5 RAM is blazing fast, but the measly 8gb it comes with is not enough to do any even remotely serious gaming. But I bought A 16gb stick of ddr5 RAM, and installed it easily in 5 minutes or so. I can’t believe how good (and fast) this thing is. I have all the video setting turned up to HIGH in Battlefield V, and still regularly/consistently get 120-144fps!! It’s crazy what a difference that makes, after I got used to getting 40fps at the very most, with all the video setting down to MEDIUM.. Would recommend this laptop to anyone who’s looking for a sub-$1000 gaming laptop that has an AMD Ryzen 7 CPU with Radeon graphics, a Nvidia RTX 3060 ti graphics card, a 500GB SSD (with an additional, empty ssd slot, so anyone can easily supplement the 500GB SSD that it comes with. I haven’t upgraded the SSD yet, and after installing 4 games and maybe 10 apps, I literally have 14GB of free space on the hard drive. This is a great way for a gamer on a budget to play virtually any PC game, with the video settings set on medium-high…

Its a pretty good laptop for the price. It was able to run every game I threw at it like The Finals, COD 3, and Minecraft with shaders, but it does get kinda get hot over time. As for schoolwork it works fine only problem is I can only get it to a max of 4 hours on battery and that's with all settings optimized to battery saver and eco mode. But overall its good for gaming on-the-go.

Great laptop, runs everything I need it to with no lag and on higher graphics settings. One complaint is the fan is very loud and laptop gets hot even on cooling mat. Not a dealbreaker though. Biggest complaint is two very bright lights on top of laptop do not turn off if laptop is charging, visible even when lid is closed, have to cover with black tape.

Amazing computer, its such a blessing. I came from playstation and made my switch to PC. Best decision to switch to this laptop. Just PLEASE make sure you install 8GB of ram into the computer before using to play. I have 16gb of ram and it runs smoothly. I usually have Dead by daylight open, discord open on a call with my camrea on and a browser with 5 tabs and YouTube open. The fans do really well with the work load its given. (If anyones wondering what ram stick i used, its called "Crucial RAM 8GB DDR5 4800MHz" i bought it on amazon :) If youre looking for a low budget gaming laptop, this is definitely the one for you! Have fun gamers :^D

At this price point (sale @ 600+) specs are undeniably far better than almost all offerings from other brands. With the savings you can add in the remaining available slots. In my case I added another 8GB RAM and 500GB SSD. Only thing I dont want is the battery. Fast draining even on power saving mode. Display is not stellar but pretty good. Actual performance is excellent (on 16GB RAM and upgraded SSD setup)

This computer is extremely versatile and upgradeable. There is an extra SSD slot and I put a 2 TB drive into there. I ran the Crucial memory tool to find out that this laptop can handle SIXTY FOUR GB of Ram, not the 32 that I have seen advertised all over the net. But if you do a little digging and plug in the full Laptop #, you can find where it says 64 GB. I had Geek Squad install all the upgrades and everything works PERFECTLY! Even though I mostly intended this purchase for work, just for giggles, I installled World of Warcraft. It plays awesomely with no lag at all! I highly recommend Best Buy for this product and you will be very happy with all the mods you can make on it. Usually not so much or many on a laptop! Thanks to Geek Squad for helping me decide which Laptop suited my needs best and the best upgrades to install! Have an awesome day!!!

I replaced my ROG 15 with this laptop. It was on sale for $699 and I was impressed with the GPU and having DDR5 RAM. It is weak on the RAM and SSD storage (but for the price?) so I added a 1TB Gen 4 980 Pro and 32GB of Crucial RAM ($220 about). The AMD Ryzen 7 6800 is amazing. Had to switch the 980 with the original boot drive (Hynix, Gen 3) since the Samsung is a Gen 4 and the laptop only has one Gen 4 interface, Bench shows almost 2X across the board, Review: Good: One of the few laptops with DDR5 RAM and decent GPU. Runs most games in high/ultra settings. Bad: Out of the box it is crippled with low RAM and SSD, if you're a gamer. The sale price allowed for beefing up the laptop and it beats my ROG with the Intel CPU vs AMD in all benchmarks. Overall very happy with the performance and

Bought this about a month ago when is was on sale, and so far it's worth every penny. Averaging 100+ fps with Performance Settings on games like Fortnite, Apex, etc. The fans do run pretty loud so I'd recommend a set of headphones while gaming. Performance while plugged in is impressive, but dips quite a bit if you're playing unplugged.

I purchased this when it was on sale and I swapped out the RAM for DDR5 32GB and added a 2TB M.2 SSD. It's very quick and loads up pages with no problem. Only issue is the battery life. I have the 56wh battery and it drains pretty quickly.

I love this laptop. I bought it for music production and to run our band lightshow. It is fast and looks good. I got a decent deal on black Friday after looking for months. Haven't found any negative about it yet. I guess if I had to.. I don't care for the power port location right in the middle on the side, that could have been thought out better.

solid, battery life is great, display is great. the keys feel really good considering 99% of the time I'm using a UniComp mechanical keyboard. If I had to complain about anything is the RGB is kind of dim but that more a personal thing. and wish it had more than 8GB of ram that the first thing that's getting changed but for around $1000 you can't beat it.

I purchased this laptop for upcoming deployments. The weight and size is perfect for what I need it for. Upon fist startup the system seems a bit sluggish due to the small amount of RAM installed from factory (8gb). I upgraded to 32gb of RAM instantly and it runs so much smoother. Highly recommend the upgrade (See photo) I havent pushed the graphics card yet so Im not sure how it handles resource intensive games. Picture quality on streaming movies is sub-par- the darker portions seem blotchy. Battery life and recharge rate is OK. Seems pretty average.

The Asus TUF A15 is an excellent budget gaming laptop that provides some solid computing and gaming performance for its specs and resolution. TUF isn’t Asus’ top of the line gaming brand, that’s Republic of Gamers, but TUF is a solid lineup of more rugged and versatile products. The A15 is no exception, while it doesn’t look as flashy as ROG, it still has RGB keyboard and lighting for system status and power. The A15 also has a really powerful Ryzen 7 6800H 8core/16thread CPU and Nvidia 3050ti GPU with 4GB VRAM. It also has 8GB of DDR5 system memory which surprised me since AMD desktop CPU don’t support DDR5 yet. Lastly it has 512GB nVME pcie3.0 SSD storage. The RAM and Storage are probably my only real grips on this system. I feel like 1TB storage and 16GB of RAM would’ve been better balanced for a gaming laptop. I was using 6GB of the 8GB basically doing nothing and it definitely seemed to hurt game loading times as things were shuffled around in memory. 512GB storage also isn’t that much as many games are 50+GB in size now. The good news is there are expansion slots on this laptop that you can access with just a screwdriver and spudger (plastic pry tool). Just remove all the screws and work the spudger around the edges of the laptop every inch or two and you will unlatch them plastic snaps holding the case together. Asus’ blog has instructions to do this so it shouldn’t void your warranty. The SSD is actually pretty fast, it’s an Intel p670 that scores 2500MB/s for reads and writes. It looks like this is PCIe Gen 3 so there’s no point in buying a faster Gen 4 SSD. Fastest Gen 3 drives will do around 3500MB/s and Gen 4 around 7000MB/s. For the RAM, you can run a couple of command lines to find out what RAM you have, I’ve already done this and also verified the part if you want to double up your RAM it is: Samsung M425R1GB4BB0-CQK 8GB DDR5 4800MHz SODIMM memory In terms of gaming performance, the 3050Ti matches up really well at 1080p and 144Hz monitor. For less graphics intensive games you will get more FPS and you can run High to Very High in most games. Just watch out for Texture settings for that limited 4GB of VRAM. I’m using it to two-box for Diablo 2 Resurrected and it runs great!!! I also ran 3DMark Time Spy and compared to some of my other PC systems, and while it’s not totally indicative of gaming performance and relative performance I do think it gives a fair impression of relative performance in gaming. TUF A15 with RTX 3050Ti: 6089 HP with RTX 3050: 5224 Asus with 1060: 3981 Custom PC with RTX 3090: 17418 So you can see, this laptop is a solid 16% increase over the 3050 laptop, 53% increase over the 1060 laptop, and about 1/3rd as powerful as the 3090 system. Lastly, the build quality is mostly plastic but does not feel cheap. The top is metal and the keyboard is textured plastic. The keys are a rubberized feel and typing feels consistent and solid. One really nice thing is the laptop feels really light for a gaming laptop, much lighter than my ROG laptop. Lastly, when fully gaming, the fans do ramp up, not overly loud or noticeable especially if you also have a desktop, but it goes from near silent in web browsing to really audible. Overall great entry level gaming laptop, I will probably add some storage and another stick of DDR5 when prices improve.
