I purchased my daughter the 2023 version of this Asus Vivobook last year and loved the performance so I decided to purchase one for myself. So far so good. This laptop is a little powerhouse. It runs smoothly and efficiently and meets my needs. For the price point, I highly recommend if you don’t want to spend much money and need a decent performing laptop.

I recently purchased the ASUS Vivobook 14" Laptop with an Intel Core i3-1215U, 8GB of memory, and a 128GB SSD in Quiet Blue, and I couldn't be happier with my choice!
From the moment I unboxed it, the sleek and sophisticated design in Quiet Blue impressed me. It's not just a laptop; it's a style statement that adds a touch of elegance to my workspace.
Performance-wise, this laptop is a powerhouse for its category. The Intel Core i3-1215U processor, combined with 8GB of RAM, ensures smooth multitasking and reliable performance for everyday tasks, whether I'm browsing the web, streaming videos, or working on documents. The 128GB SSD speeds up boot times and ensures quick access to files, which has significantly improved my productivity.
One of the standout features is the display – the 14" screen offers vivid colors and sharp images, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. The lightweight design also makes it incredibly portable, easily fitting into my bag without adding bulk.
Another aspect I appreciate is the impressive battery life. It lasts through a full day of work or study without needing a recharge, which is essential for my on-the-go lifestyle.
Overall, the ASUS Vivobook 14" Laptop is a fantastic investment for anyone in need of a reliable and stylish machine. It offers excellent value for the price, and I highly recommend it to students, professionals, or anyone looking for a high-performing, budget-friendly laptop. Five stars!

Great Value Laptop for School

This laptop is perfect for school work. It's not a powerhouse, but it handles web browsing and basic tasks like a champ. I've been using it for writing papers in Word and it hasn't broken a sweat. It might struggle with heavy Excel stuff, but that's not what it's meant for anyway.
For the price, this laptop is a total steal. It's got everything you need for school without any unnecessary bells and whistles. If you're a student on a budget, this is the laptop for you.

At an offer price of $250 it is a good option. Starts fast. Internet browsing and basic apps move quickly without problems. The battery is terrible, it lasts approximately 4 hours. It is plastic but the material looks resistant. 8GB memory but you can add another 16GB. Storage is about 50GB free but can be updated. Screen is not IPS. This model sold by Best Buy comes with a numeric keypad and no fingerprint unlock as seen in the images.

Good one in limited budget, careful about S mode

Good in the budget. I have taken this to do school assignments only. No gaming and nothing. It is flawless. Multiple tab can handle.
I have installed 16GB 3200 mhz ram purchased from.best buy ($26). Now it is super 24GB ram.
The only problem is S mode. In S mode you cant install chrome and search engine will be locked to bing in edge. However I have moved out from S mode. May b you need a original (?) Microsoft account. I have one and may be it synchronised and worked. So before buy consider this isshe. Now I can install chrome and other software.
Build quality is good. Overall I am happy in 220 price point.
If you have budget then you can go for Asus core ultra 5 ii by 450/499/550. That was game changer. But during my purchase that was not on deal. However it is surving my purpose.
Oh one more thing: it is very easy to install the ram. You can do it by urself but if you open the backcase warranty will be voided and no return.
Battery is sufficient. May b 7/8 hours.

This is an outstanding laptop at this price. To be clear, I'm not comparing it to a $1500 Surface or gaming machine, but it comfortably handles 300-page Word docs, a dozen simultaneous browser tabs, a spreadsheet, and a PowerPoint deck all open at once. The screen is clear, the touchpad useful (if you like touchpads, though I use a BlueTooth mouse), and the keyboard decent. And it's lightweight, too, easily fitting in a small backpack when I walk to a coffee shop to work there for a few hours.

Great Laptop for Online Classes!

I recently purchased the ASUS Vivobook 14" Laptop (Intel Core i3-1215U, 8GB Memory, 128GB SSD, Quiet Blue) for my kid's online classes, and it's been a great experience so far! Got it for a good deal as well.
The laptop's performance has been smooth, and it handles online learning platforms with ease. The display is clear, and the battery life is impressive. The Quiet Blue color looks sleek and modern, too!
One of the significant advantages of this laptop is the expandable memory. I've already ordered additional RAM from Best Buy (waiting for delivery), which will further enhance the laptop's performance.
The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that the 128GB SSD might be a bit limited for storing larger files or programs. However, for online classes and general use, it's more than sufficient.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable laptop for online learning or basic use.
Pros:
- Smooth performance for online classes
- Expandable memory (easy to upgrade)
- Clear display and impressive battery life
- Sleek design and Quiet Blue color
- Affordable price point
Cons:
- 128GB SSD might be limited for storing larger files
I'm looking forward to the RAM upgrade, which will further enhance the laptop's capabilities!

Why I love this computer!

This computer has been the best one out of the ones I used to have. I love the i3 intel core chip since it fast for my Daily uses. For example, when ever I turn it turn it starts up in less then 5 seconds! Also, including that it has windows 11 is so helpful since windows 11 has copilot ai to help out people with their questions! So far I love the loptop’s color since it’s quite blue and it seems as a nice color on a loptop. Including that it’s thin enough to fit into my tight spaces like my backpack or drawer. I also love how it charges quickly so I don’t have to worry about leaving it on an outlet for hours. To be fair, i love how asus has this app for their pcs to customize the settings to what the person prefers! I rate this computer 9/10 for the many features it has!

If looking for a budget-friendly laptop I'd recommend this one. I liked the feel of the keyboard but wasn't crazy about the number pad as I accidentally turned it on a couple times. I'm trading it in for more memory and speed which I've found with another good deal on an HP laptop at Best Buy.

I've been using the ASUS VivoBook for a bit now and it's a solid laptop for everyday use. It's lightweight, fast enough for multitasking, and the screen is bright and clear. The keyboard feels good to type on, and the battery lasts a decent amount of time. It’s not a powerhouse for gaming or heavy editing, but for work, school, streaming, and browsing—it gets the job done well. Great value for the price!

Computer works well, processor speed listed wrong

The computer itself is just fine, works well, is lightweight and processing speed seems more than adequate. The storage space is on the small side but that shouldn't be a problem given the intended use I have for this machine.
HOWEVER, this computer comes loaded with Win11 in S Mode which prevents you from loading anything other than Microsoft software. The whole intent I have for this computer is to use specific software which is NOT from Microsoft. Disabling S mode should be really easy, a button push, but that does not work. The effort you have to go through to defeat S mode is complex, multistep and annoying but it is possible.
Aside from the S mode issue, the reason for my lower rating is that the computer is listed as having a 3.3 GHz processor speed and this is not true. Right in the internal system specs it shows it is really a 1,2 GHz speed. Best Buy really needs to update their listing of specs.
Really glad I got this as a substantial discount.

Brand response from ASUS Answers

Dear RichC,
We are glad to know the laptop is working well, as expected.
We do understand your concern about Windows 11 S Mode and the processor speed. WINDOWS 11 S Mode was intended for speed, simplicity and security. Only applications available at the Microsoft Store are allowed to be installed. In order to install third-party applications, the OS needs to be switched to WINDOWS 11 HOME in order to installed third-party applications, it cannot be disabled. To successfully switch, WINDOWS 11 S needs to be setup completely and activated online. Once this is completed, please go to Settings, Activation then click "Go to Store" and follow the wizard in order to switch the OS free. In regards to the processor speed, this specific laptop model: X140ZA-I38128 comes with an Intel i3-1215U with a base clock frequency speed of 3.3 GHz, not 1.2 GHz, and a maximum clock speed of 4.4GHz. Please check wit BestBuy if the correct laptop model was sent to you. Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent from the link: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/1135/.
