Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the VivoPC M32CD's speed and performance, particularly praising its solid-state drive and ample storage. Many appreciate its ease of use and reasonable price point. However, some users noted that the fan can be noisy at times, and that the power supply may require an upgrade for demanding applications. The dual hard drive configuration is also a frequently mentioned positive aspect.

    Liking this new Asus desktop

Two caveats: Only been a month or so since I purchased this computer. Added a 2nd hard drive, and graphics card to it (and thus voided the warranty) Am a fan of Asus motherboards and consumer computers. My previous Asus Pentium class machine pretty much reached end of life so I went for this model with the expectation that the i7 CPU will give me many years of acceptable performance. Knew I would want a 2nd hard drive and better graphics. Understood up front that opening the case would void any warranty. Since I used to build my own machines, felt okay to upgrade this one. Straight up, out of the box this is a very fine and capable computer for most people. Specs are very good. Lots of memory, 1 TB drive plus a 256 G SSD. It's VERY quick to boot to a login screen. One important consideration with the C: drive (the 256 G SSD). Want to be very careful when installing programs so that the drive does not fill up real quick. Pick a different drive if the installer allow it. Also a good idea to change the Windows 10 defaults for where you store docs, photos, downloads, etc. My little tip - Smile If you want to add a graphics card, like I did, be aware that the power supply will have to be replaced with a more capable one. Adding a second hard drive requires moving the SSD up one shelf. No way to add a second optical drive. Certainly not the right computer for someone interested in using it as the starting point for a super rig. Overall I am very pleased with this computer and expect it will serve me well for many years.

Great value for a power house PC

This is an extremely powerful desktop PC for your everyday usage. Initial set-up will take approximately 10-15 minutes (very fast!). This computer has minimal bloatware; it's nice! It boots up fast (approx. 10 seconds) due to the SSD. Also, having the 1 TB HD to store your documents is a great combo. For me, I recommend installing programs/applications onto the SSD for faster boot time and keeping all documents on the HD (you can do that by right clicking "my pictures", "my documents", etc. and changing the location of those files to the proper hard-drive) to ensure you always have enough room on the SSD. Furthermore, it's an Intel Core I7 7th generation, there's nothing more to say about that! Very fast in conjunction with the 12GB DDR4 memory ram! As far as noise, this PC has been extremely quiet (so far I only used it to surf webs, microsoft word, and watching videos). Moreover, the PC has a lot of USB ports and plugs; it's very convenient. Furthermore, this specific ASUS desktop PC can watch youtube 4k videos in 4k full screen (I have a 27inch HD monitor) without any issues or lag/hiccups. As for gaming, this computer only needs an upgraded video-card and a more powerful Power Supply Unit (PSU)--current PSU I believe is about 350W. This desktop PC's motherboard has one empty PCIEX16 slot for a video-card if you so choose to upgrade the video-card. If you do these two things, you will have a very powerful gaming machine for a very good price. That's not to say that this computer is not capable of gaming right out the box, it can do light gaming, but for heavier type games it will require what I previously stated. Be advised, when you open the tower, you void the manufacturers warranty. The best budget video-card at the moment is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti 4GB (sells for about $150-$170 and does not require a PSU upgrade!). With that budget card and the system spec on this desktop PC, you can do some good gaming! Overall, this is probably the best desktop PC I've ever purchased for the value and I'm very happy; I purchased this desktop when bestbuy had a sale going on for this specific ASUS PC and a student discount on top of it. It was a good buy overall. If you are looking for a powerful PC with a good price tag then this ASUS desktop PC is for you!

Overall this was a great purchase. I wanted a decent rig for gaming. This computer almost has everything. Keep in mind that I believe I purchased this computer for about $575, it was on sale plus a student discount was applied. This computer will suit any non-gamers needs. It boots extremely fast. Is always responsive and is ready to go out of the box. For people thinking about gaming with it. The power supply will need upgraded for anything above a 1050ti (Has to run on the motherboard). But if you throw a new PSU in it and possibly a 1060 or higher this desktop will be the perfect intro gaming setup. If you can ever get it for the price I got it for I would say jump on it! Lastly remember that opening the case will void your warranty. Mine has a sticker on it that will break if and when I upgrade the internals

    A Practical Desktop

I bought this desktop after I did my research on line from several different sources and retail stores and I made my decision based on the spec. In fact this is the first desktop I bought for myself instead of making one. This time I was like for a base which is already made with the specs I needed the most and this unit is coast way less than if someone wants to make one similar to this. I spent about three days testing the system and it ended up working fine and then I added one more external hard drive and I replaced the power supply to 450 W output and finally I cloned the SSD hard drive to a 480 MB one and replaced the new one. Now this computer is exactly what I need and still with everything I added and changed, the total cost is a lot cheaper than if I wanted to make one. If you are looking to buy one none of the extra that I have done is necessary because this desktop is a practical desktop with the way it is designed. You can even watch 4K videos if you have a 4K display. If you are a gamer then you might want to buy a separate graphic card and install it on the motherboard and charge the power supply as I did then you can run any games you want.

Boots and shuts down very fast. To those having problems directing which drive to download programs to, change your browser settings. Very quiet most of the time. Only gets a little louder when post processing large photo files but no louder than any other computer I've used. Would buy again at the sale price. Very happy with purchase. Handles many open programs with ease. I am not a gamer. Free anti virus programs speed through scans. Once again, very fast. Also, went from 14 year old XP os computer to 10. Very short learning curve. No problem transferring files. Obviously not all software from XP is going to be compatible with 10. Like 10 a lot and have had no problems at all after 3 weeks of constant usage. My only regret is my old M-Audio stereo sound card is not compatible since it is a PCI and they just don't install those anymore. Used a mini to RCA to hook up to my stereo. Not as good as a dedicated sound card but it will do for now.

For a desktop under $1,000 this computer is a great purchase. I am a tax practitioner and often need to run multiple years of tax software in tandem with excel, PDF viewers, internet browsers, and other programs. My old desktop would slow down significantly but this runs fast and efficiently even with many programs open simultaneously. Overall very pleased with this computer and did not need to spend a fortune on it in the process!

I was surprise that I could get so much out of a computer for the price I bought it at. Having a solid state Drive really does make all the difference. With the college student discount, this was more than affordable. I love Asus. Great computer brand. Can't wait to add a new graphics card to start doing some intense gaming over the winter break.

Overall, this Asus PC is very fast and easy to use. The only negative is that it doesn't come with a built-in speaker, but I normally use external speakers anyway, so not a big deal. I like that it comes with a smaller solid state drive for fast boot ups.

Just upgraded my I5 3470 Samsung all in one! My new Asus is amazing. Easy to set up, lightening fast start up! TheSSD is so fast!!! Great performance using my Ms FSX flight simulator! The extra usb ports are much needed in simulating for the yoke, pedals, panels etc. Easy to move my files from old. Imputed to my Asus! I paired with Samsung 32 inch curved monitor, wow my simulating became amazing. The only issue is the loud fan noise if you load up many cd or d d's I got used to it because doesn't happen that often and it dies t bother me. I love my new Asus and Samsung combo!

This machine is so much faster and smoother to run. My first windows 10, so I had some adjusting to get used to. It is more processing than I need but for the difference in price I got the newest available because I'm sure it will be outdated in 6 months. It has two hard drives. Perfect for keeping my files separated and not "bogging" things down. Fan seemed a little loud at first, now I don't even notice it. I bought it for business accounting, embroidery software and picture editing and storage. More computer than I need. Perfect

I love this brand and also have an Asus laptop. This brand is reliable and performs in an amazing manner. I've gotten used to Win 10 and have learned many helpful parts of it. My desktop opens and closes very fast because of the SSD holding the operating system. I plan on upgrading my memory to 16 megs later on as well as adding a video card though the colors and video are great at this time. The machine has the ability to run 2 monitors since it has both kinds of connections. I've been into computers since they had only one disk drive (no hard drive) and had to switch the disks in and out of the disk drive. Also had to use dos language because windows had yet to be created. Fantastic upgrades since those days. Buy an Asus, you can't go wrong!

Love this Asus tower computer. The best part about it is that it boots up real fast and it is a SSD (solid state drive) so it stores the boot up information there instead of the hard drive making it a lot faster.

I bought this computer to do music and video editing, which can be very taxing on a computer. This machine handles these tasks with ease. I set it so the SSD holds the operating system and most of my frequently used programs (Pinnacle Video Editor and Microsoft Office). I store all of my videos and music on the 1TB hard drive. The only criticism I can give it is the fan is rather loud when it is rendering a video. (This is very minor criticism.) You will be very happy with this computer.

12 g of ram. a stick of 8 and a stick of 4. I would have preferred 16 (8x2), but 12 is plenty. I do a lot of photoshop and video editing. Not sure how this stacks up as a gaming machine, but for my picture and video editing it works great. There is a SSD drive as the main drive and a 1TB HD for storage. The SSD drive is fast. The i7 processor works through my images without a hitch. The onboard video is great for what it is. For me with the picture and video editing, I decided to upgrade to a monster 4g card. But, before I switched, it was able to handle my editing needs. The case is nice, not overly large and decently quite. Video editing is quite taxing on the system, so you can hear the fan speed up to handle the load. This is a normal thing on all PC's

I was in need of a new computer after using my laptop for about six years. I upgraded the RAM in my laptop from 6GB to 16GB but in the end, it still wasn't enough. I started looking at PCs and had my heart set on getting the HP ENVY 750-567C. I decided to stop into the local Best Buy store and see what they had before I ordered the ENVY. I asked an associate if they had any open box items and she took me over to this PC. I noticed that it only had 12GBs of RAM and was going back and forth for at least a half hour if I wanted to go with this one or get the ENVY like I originally planned on doing. I finally decided to go with this one and I'm extremely happy that I did! The SSD makes up for the loss in RAM, for me at least. I'm a photographer and videographer and editing on this PC is a breeze! Even while editing video files, this PC make very little to no noise at all! This is also my first ASUS product and I am more than satisfied with it! Everything runs very smoothly and the applications on the SSD open near instantly. My only complaint is that when I unplug a USB cord from the rear of the PC, my monitor gets disconnected for some unknown reason. I'm not really sure why that is happening. I just work around it and plug in the devices that I plug in and unplug regularly into one of the front two USB ports. Love this PC!!!

The initial boot and Windows 10 install were simple and quick. I have been using it for Photoshop elements editing and it has been quick. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it is using standard Intel graphics, wired keyboard/mouse and the cooling can be a bit loud when it kicks in.

I purchased this computer on the recommendation of a friend. I dont like buying computers every 2 to 3 years. My friend explained that this computer will last me many years. Well that is the plan hopefully. The computer is fast and boots up quick because of the solid state hard drive. For the other users in the house it is perfect for their needs which is why it was purchased. Best Buy employees helped tremendously which is always a plus. If you are wavering on buying a computer a step down from this, think again don’t have buyers remorse just upgrade.
