This happened regardless of swapping them around. The 6 GHz signal was strong and made good connection from the basement up to 1st floor. When used as a connection frequency, it has very good throughput speeds. Setup was fast and easy, And it had great signal strength, coverage, and low ping. Still, firmware issues were very concerning and I'd recommend the XT9

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.like anything asus they have ups and downs, im loving having the 6ghz band to myself while other devices are on 2.4 and 5ghz band, def recommend one aimesh have ethernet backhaul just in case wifi doesnt reach to a certain area of ur house.

Live in a 2-story, rectangular house, that is greater than 3000 sq. ft. My wi-fi comes in on the second floor at one end of the house. My greatest need for wi-fi is on the first floor at the opposite end of the house, where the TV and streaming services are located. The router provides excellent signal throughout the whole house.

I have Xfinity Gig Speed plan and with these I get an aggregated speed of 1300 mbps. The wifi speeds are extremely well too over my old orbi system, the node on this system doest randomly drop off like my orbi did, and this also works really well with my smart home devices. I use Abode for my home security and I can now finally use all the features on the native app cuz of this system, my old system kept blocking it. This has Trend Micro built in so itll block off possible attacks

To be honest, I was a little disappointed that the Geek Squad was not able to install this for me. No matter... I would definitely buy this product again.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I noticed right after the setup that my upload speeds are horrible (200-300 Mbps) on a wired connection despite being on the 1 Gigabit Fios plan. After some research online, it appears there is a known bug/issue with Asus XT8 & ET8 routers and Verizon FIOS Gigabit connection. The only workaround is to set up the Verizon router as your "main" router (with it's wireless radios disabled), then configuring the ZenWiFi AX into AP mode which defeats the purpose of getting this router in the first place. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/workaround-or-fix-for-slow-upload-speeds-on-asus-zenwifi-xt8-w-verizon-fios.74739/ Very disappointed with Asus. These are going back!

Easy setup, great coverage

Was able to set up aiMesh with the other router and the Asus extender within 30 minutes. Download speeds are flying!
