    Great Corded Landline!

I wanted a corded landline for my home office. This phone is perfect for what I need, and it is very reasonably priced! It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles, but it has everything I wanted -- and more. Yes, it has caller ID, call waiting and speaker phone capability. However, it offers more. You can check the phone numbers of calls you missed (it tells you how many calls you missed), and one feature that I REALLY like is the phone call timer. That is very valuable for me because it offers the most accurate length of time spent on a business call. Although AT&T says that there is an online manual for this phone, I've found the instruction manual for setting up the phone and using the phone's features which comes with the phone to be very understandable and answered my questions.

I like tilt-able LCD and it's big characters. I like the idea of the light for an incoming call, although it is too dim unless you happen to be focused on the phone which is at a 90 degree angle from my desk, so when the ringer (which is not loud enough even at Max setting) emits it's feeble sound I have to focus on the phone as in "is that thing ringing" to see if the incoming call light is really illuminated. The ringer has far less volume than any of my other standard phones. Aside from that, you supposedly can save numbers with labels to the "Directory" but there seems to be no way to have a label with a space in the name. I for example had and incoming call which was labelled in the call log as "800 [space]Service", but when I try to edit that name to something more descriptive which contains a space such as "Fraud[space]Protection" it seems to be impossible. While it does have Caller ID and Call Waiting ID, it does not have any indication of a Missed Call short of going though the Call Log manually. Even my old Radio Shack Talking Caller ID box would have a flashing red light if you has missed a call, and it would seem that it would have been easy enough to make the Incoming Call light on this thing also flash to alert you that you had missed an incoming call so that you would know that you need to check the call log. One feature I do like, which isn't mentioned in the woefully inadequate user guide, and I learned about only from another user's review is that you can dial the number without picking up the handset and see that the number is correct and then when you pick up the handset it will automatically dial that number. I also like the adjustable call volume and the Audio Assist while in a call that increases the clarity... I haven't needed to use that, but it a nice idea. Also when the power goes out, which lately has been frequent, it loses all the settings like date and time, which seems strange since it is battery powered.. maybe the power from the phone line is going out with the electrical power, but even if that is so, it would seem the batteries in the phone should make the phone settings remain intact. In short I am disappointed with this purchase and I guess I'll have to look for a standalone caller ID box to know when I have a missed call.

Bought this phone for my 89 year old dad. He can hear well and talk through the speaker. The push button numbers are big and lights up. Caller ID allows him to screen his calls before answering and many other features.

I brought it for my sister who can't see small numbers. She like the big numbers and speakerphone works just fine according to her. It's also easy for her youngest son to use.

    Great, simple corded desk phone.

A simple, traditional, ordinary, corded, touch tone, single line desk phone. Majority of the phones have built in digital answering machines and I wasn't looking for that. This fits the bill. Large buttons, huge display. Terrific sound quality. Has volume control. Shows the current date and time. Shows the length of time for a call. Works on AA batteries. The handset is uncomfortable if you have to hold it between the ear and shoulder to free up your hand. Otherwise, it's an excellent basic phone without tons of unnecessary bells and whistles.

I needed a table land line phone and this one serves that purpose well. The weight is sufficient so it does not slide when you pick up the receiver. Everything works fine except for the speaker phone, which was hard to understand, though I only tried using it once. The cord connecting the receiver to the base was so short that I had to buy a longer one.

Love this phone. The display is large, has speaker, speed dial, directory, call log, etc. The only thing it lacks is a light when it is off the hook.

    Our new black, corded phone

Getting accustomed once again to a phone with wires was strange. there were also new buttons and new sounds. It's also strange to need to stay within the range allowed by the length of the phone's cord. The phone was a good price and the phone's black fits well in the living room. Besides the price the convenience of being able to park the phone on my shoulder is pretty nice as well. I should also add that the sound is clear either as through the receiver or the speakerphone.

This is a really great deal. We use them in our conference room and the buttons are big, the sound really good, even on speaker phone, and the price was right! More colors perhaps

These were great at first (I have 3 b/c of electrosensitivity), big letters, easy to read, pick-up dialing for whatever is in the window, easy to review and save numbers. But am beginning to have trouble with them performing inconsistently after a couple of years. Still like this model much better than the CL2909 which I never have figured out completely.

Nice, clean design. The tilting screen helps with visibility. I like that it doesn’t need electricity, but it does use AA batteries. Big buttons eliminates accidentally dialing the wrong number. It’s nice to have a phone that will work even in a blackout.

Exactly as described. Great for elderly who get confused with cell or portable wireless phones. Loud ring tone. Easy to use. Easy to program speed dial numbers. Don't have to worry about phone being charged. Bought for elderly parents...couldn't ditch the other wireless phones fast enough.

I bought this to replace a much more expensive phone that developed a handset jack problem within a year of purchase. This phone was easy to set up, is easy to use, and has really good sound clarity, both on speaker and on handset. The sound quality is very important to me, as I am hearing impaired, and this phone is the best I've found.

I'm enjoying this phone. I did have to buy extra AA batteries to use the display function, but I love the screen size. (Not too big or small). Once on a call, I can walk away with the speaker phone option. Recommended for those who do not prefer to walk around with a cordless phone.

Good phone. Just what I was looking for in a landline phone. Caller I.D. and large numerals. Speaker phone button is good when having to write and talk! I had to buy batteries, but needed for caller I.D. Dollar Tree had them for $1.00. All in all I have been very pleased with this phone. I would recommend it for anyone that needs a simple landline phone. Thanks,

This is a good phone for home or office. It keeps a lot of numbers, and the display is great. Sound quality is also good. My main problem is the tedious routine for deleting the caller ID. Luckily, the memory only keeps a certain number, so old ones get bumped in favor of the new calls. All in all, it's a solid buy.

This phone really is easy to see the caller id. We use it as a wall phone and when it rings it has a good sound and the back drop on the caller id is big and bold. When the phone was down on the counter before we mounted it, it was a little harder to see. It is very easy to hear with it too. The speaker is great also.

The big advantage with this phone is obviously its display. All of the information is bold and clear and so easy to read. No more squinting to read the caller ID. 100% recommend!
