Customers admire the SMARTFLIP™ for its ease of use and large buttons, which are particularly helpful for seniors. While the price point is frequently praised, some users find the texting functionality and battery life to be less than satisfactory. The lack of clear instructions is also a recurring concern. Call quality has also received mixed reviews, with some users reporting issues with clarity and connectivity.

Prepaid transfer of 3G to 5G

I was informed that my 3G prepaid was to be superseded by 5G.
The Best Buy employee, Tristen, urged me to buy this one with the understanding I would be able to use the SIM from the original phone. Yes! I called AT&T and, as he said both the SIM card and my original plan would be transferred to my new phone. It is the accuracy of such information from my local Best Buy that I have come to depend upon over the years. As for the product itself, I hope it will live up to its promise. AT&T assured me that it would monitor the efficacy of the transfer. (Communication with AT&T itself is a little difficult so I shall have to wait for a better opportunity to effect a transfer.)

Good option for elderly

I bought my mom a smart phone because her old phone just wasn't cutting it, but she was not only ungrateful, she just couldn't learn it no matter how many times we worked with her and gave her notes. So I decided to get her this phone, which she seems much more comfortable with. It is probably a step above her older phone, but I think she can follow text messages better and is easier for her to use and just "get". It also comes with some instructions which she really wanted with the smart phone. I feel this is a good alternative for those older people who just refuse to enter the smart phone generation but still need/want a cell phone.

I like the big buttons for my senior mother. I used this pre-paid att phone instead of buying another contract phone from att. Plus it’s 50% cheaper. Just swap the SIM cards between your old att phone and this phone. Removing the battery cover is a pain though.

It's a flip phone and that's what Dad wanted. Does more than any flip phone he has had. Other than the ringers not being loud enough, he likes the phone very well.

It’s the perfect granny phone, especially if afraid of touch screen phones. Easy to use and seems to be durable enough.

Bought this for my daughter for a recent trip to NYC. It worked great and was everything we expected. Unfortunately it was unable to make her call us on time or make her answer when we called her other than that though a good solid phone.

This is a pay as you go phone that had larger buttons that was necessary for my 88 year old uncle....wanted a jitter bug to add to att but they only work with consumer cellular. I purchased this phone took it to the att store and they added it to my plan which worked out well.

For some reason my son would not keep his iPhone in its case. I told him if he breaks it I'm not replacing it. He didn't think fat meat was greasy. What do ya know, he broke it. So I got him this as a replacement and turned off the data. Now he's been reverted back to 2002 and the laughingstock of his friends. That'll teach em.

The battery doesn’t last long. Menus are hard to manage when you’re attempting to view messages and missed calls. It does have WiFi and Bluetooth. The volume is awesome. My major complaint is how contacts are added. I say just get a cheap smart phone that you can use to add contacts easier and find them also.
